23 years ago, hiking to havasu campground was our first backpacking trip. a guy at work said he almost died hiking out. Which made me very nervous so we started hiking out at 2am. It turned out not to be bad, found out later that they hiked out during the hottest part of the day from 11am to 4pm.
Dang no wonder!! We had cooler weather so we figured even on the hottest day of our trip it wasn't that bad and we were right
