The Texas Legislature adopted the statute in the spring of 2021 and it was signed into law, going into effect in July 2021. Saban doesn't know this and is full of shit. What's troubling is the media is too lazy or too in awe (or scared) of Saban to do real reporting on the issue. Jimbo, by saying A&M did not break any state laws, was denying Saban's allegations. No reporter has found anything to the contrary, and they would have by now if there were any. Plus, think about it: maybe A&M was the top recruiting program this year, but they missed some players. Had they done what Saban accused them of, they wouldn't have missed anyone. Except for maybe Texas, A&M has the most money in college sports.

y’all just don’t like that an HBCU pulled it off. Also you can say HBCUs aren’t “up to par” but that statement lacks an extreme amount of context considering the amount of NFL talent that stemmed from HBCUs in the past. Not only that but the point of this movement is to allow black athletes to go to places that care for them beyond what they do on the field. Football is nothing without black athletes. Yeah, Nick is right - we are able to offer our players a lot more than Bama can and I do think it may upset him a little - but college football has changed in the past few years and we're in a great position."

A&M definitely paid for that class. Jimbo fisher doesn’t carry that level of clout with these young kids. As far as the Travis hunter thing, when Deion says he didn’t talk that kid to come to JSU with a big lump sump of cash
I wish I ran into Deion and could say right to his face “buddy, you need to work Hollywood with those lies
”. Travis hunter never goes to JSU without a big amount of cash, plain and simple, I don’t care how Deion claims his “people” do things. My people do things too, and when a SHITLOAD of money is involved
you do the math.
Travis hunter probably didn’t know Jackson state played football until Deion and the boosters backing him came knocking on your door with a big fat check. That’s the only reason a high profile kid would come to a place like JSU, because in todays game, that hunter kid could theoretically make quite a bit of money at a marquee name school. He’s taking a huge business risk by not playing at a big time school.
Of course recruits have been and will continue to be paid to come to certain schools. Don’t insult the intelligence of the fan by acting like we don’t know what goes on
in fact some of us are boosters!!

All the "Collective" did was allow Schools ( mainly Power 5's) with Alumni with deep pockets to buy players Legally.
PWI schools have been buying "Black" players since integration.
Jumbo Fisher didn't say anything that was coherent...he knows they have been buying players, too. Fisher
    went "lying" crazy.
Fisher just deflected by criticizing Saban's character rather than acknowledging that TAM found the loophole & bought everybody.
I do agree, some of these players are just going to bounce around to the highest bidder.
I can understand Saban being upset about the "collective." I don't think that's what was intended but will the NCAA change it.
It probably want make a difference, because the Schools with the Deep Pockets will just give money to the car dealerships or the Chicken Restaurants , etc. to pad the NIL deals.
The NCAA, evidently, left a loophole for a collective to be formed...but it want be Jackson State that has the money to buy what TAM or AL or any of these other Power Schools can buy.
