I'm watching this with so much envy. I love my little 1.2 16v clio but its got no punch. THIS is what i need in my life.

John Panter When a Mégane RS or a RCZ-R will push you over the road, don't be surprise! French cars are nice and have personality. It's like the japanese cars. But I think you prefer audi (vw with a fancy dress)...

2021 now and only two for sale in UK both from 2005 one for 60000 £ with 13k miles and the other with 36k miles for 50000 £ that is insane

After seeing Hammond in the beginning jumping into the car I've expected the clip to end with a crew member with another Clio saying something like: "Hey, Richard, we managed to get you a car to testdrive."
Hammond: "But I've just... this is... Ooops."

I like this because I'm a Bmw fan. :) Actually this is better, the mid engine configuration is the proper track car. Renault builds many other nice acecars like the RS 01
Owned a 03 plate brand new, what a horrible car to drive in the wet of Scotland but what it sound it made from the engine behind my left ear. Drank petrol like crazy, had to fight people off from sitting on it and taking photos on a daily basis. But even after all that I’d still buy another one again. And every boy racer within 100 miles will try and race you lol

What a bonkers little car, but I wouldn't mind owning one. Saw one for sale recently and the owner certainly knew what he had was rare (especially considering where I am) judging by the price he was asking.
They later reviewed this car on the show and did not like it, especially its steering radius when compared to a range rover.
Think i only ever saw 1 or 2 since they were made. I guess a lot of them ended up going backwards through a hedge at 70mph
They don't snap oversteer like an early 911. But they didn't make much to begin with, did they?

Only Renault would put a V6 engine in the middle of a supermini. Nissan can do the same by stuffing the same V6 engine and the AWD system from the GT-R inside the Micra. After all, Nissan is under Renault ownership.

+James Atkinson It was never sold here or in the US but it is easily importable
+RubberDuck Not as easy as you may think. Since it was never sold here, it would have to pass all required safety and emissions tests before it could be driven on the roads so unless you're willing to let NHTSA crash one first, that option is pretty much out. You'd have to wait until it turns 30 years old.

The easiest way to find one is probably to go in France ... but it still very expensive (~25000 € euros for a phase 1 and ~ 30000€ for a phase 2)

These are still going for 30 grand plus even though it's just a Clio fitted with a giant engine
dazzaburger the reason why they're going up in price is because you wont be able to see another production hatchback with a MR layout besides the Renault 5 Turbo. Also they were kind of limited to about 4000 cars produced. Too bad these never came to the US like most cars I desire.

I think pugs go even worse....i know french cars isnt that more reliable compared to german cars (i owned both a peugeot 405 n 90s merc e class n 405 almost overheated itself while the e class stays cool n its switchgears atill work although constantly needing ac freons)
