I would LOVE a real business class on european short haul flights. I think japan does it right with their premium classes on ANA and JAL that are only a bit more expensive and just have a bit roomier seats. On some flights they even have a first class that also gives you better drinks and foods.
Thank you for a great video. I love that you - unlike many others - fast forward when the plane taxies from the gate. I am a very frequent flier on BA myself and love the airline, their design, their staff, their bonus programme (even after they changed it for the worse), and Terminal 5 at Heathrow. I can also live with paying for snacks on short haul flights. What I don't like is feeling cramped when I fly. BA's legroom on their A300-series used to be a great relief compared to many of their competitors. If that deteriorates I think they may run into serious trouble with their loyal customers.
The prices of the buy-on-board are almost identical to the prices in Marks and Spencer, the shop that inspired it. The layout is also their corporate layout for all of their promotional material.

AT mathew. BA was never ever a good airline, but under new leadership they intend to become a Low Cost Carrier. Basically like Ryan Air but trading off their previous reputation as a full fare carrier.

Can't wait to see your video on Level. I'm glad they are opening more international flights out of that airport. Oakland is less congested that SFO and it's connected to the Bart train system which gets you to San Francisco at almost the same time as going into SFO. I try to fly out of there as much as I can. The only unfortunate thing is that they don't really have air clubs and big fancy shops. It's more of a low key airport.

My top 5 Airlines (Long-haul) -AirFrance = -Virgin Atlantic = -AirCaraïbes -Delta -American Top 3 Low Fares -Southwest Airlines -Norwegian (Yes !!! They've 787s but they're low fare) -Ryanair (In fact, Ryanair isn't really bad. For my case, the landing was surprisingly smooth and the crew was friendly. It was soooo stormy... we were even struck by lightnings. But the braking was ... how can we say ... it was Swiss001's earrape with max volume and headphones but for the tyres on the runway)
I am currently seated on a BA A320 and the legroom is shocking, I feel like cattle all cramped into the plane, the fact that it was even passed off Is madness! Very disappointed I don’t think I’ll be flying British Airways again any time soon.
Felix M and S which are known in the UK for being really expensive now supply British Airways but I can tell you that their food will be very posh. British Airways does still operate flights from Terminal 3 but when they plan to destroy it in 2019 they will move all flights to Terminal 5. And so Terminal 2 will be expanded to include the areas of the previous 1,2 and 3. Terminal 4 will remain the same as well as Terminal 5 and there will most likely be a new runway too. Also a new Terminal 6. A brand new better looking Heathrow
Some BA flights (like ones to Vienna) depart out of T3 because T5 isn't big enough! All the gates are full at T5 so they have had to spill over into T3 as well.
I'm going to fly VIE-LHR in September with British airways. I think it's sad that an airline which represents the country (like in Austria Austrian or in Germany Lufthansa more or less) doesn't offer anything for free anymore. Anyway I'm really looking forward to my trip with BA. The new cabin looks very modern and clear.
Sandwiches and drinks are actually very cheap. 2,6GBP is undustry standard price for a hot drink. The selection os snacks looks fav. I love Percy Pigs and everyone does you have to try them and you won't regret it. The menu looks very nice but of course I liked them much more when refreshements were complimentary because who doesnt like a "free" glass of wine. On the other hand the food was tiny. On 2h flight you got mini bun and mini roll. If you were starving there was no other option to choose from and that was it...
Very nice. I'm already looking forward to my flight with BA in summer from Budapest to Toronto. Free snacks do not bother me too much but they could have kept free drinks though. Anyway, they still serve free food and drinks on long-hauls YET, so it is all good. And that approach into LHR is just stunning. :)

I wondered whether HSBC actually paid for the aircraft ramps at LHR. I like all the climb and all the descent when there are good views of the ground to be normal speed personally, but I appreciate the taxiing speed up.
In my personal opinion, an airline with the stature of BA should be able to at least serve free cups of ice water to customers. Even AA will do that. Also, with airlines like KLM and Lufthansa still serving a solid snack (and Tarom still doing hot meals) I think BA is really lacking here.
I have mixed feelings about this new cabin like the seats look cosy but the legroom is smaller and M&S food is nice but generally expensive kinda confusing tbh

They're too many first class reviewers out here in YouTuve, and I doubt that I'm gonna rush out an invests thousands of dollars on a first class ticker.
Thank you for that comment! I totally agree! Our mission statement is: "Show people what it's like to travel with as many different airlines as possible." And because of that we never get to collect a significant amount of miles at the miles program of one airline so we never have enough to upgrade ourselves. That's why we fly Economy *most* of the times, not always though... :)
It's not that bad considering the prices are the pretty much the same in the M&S shop, and it is really good food (better than most aeroplane food) but M&S is known for being a more expensive shop anyways

Do they show movies on the cabin screens? Ive never used BA but am booked on them 3 feb to Ist. The app shows it has "IFE" and lists a new movie. Its an a320, i just thought they showed the flight map.
They changed their short-haul meal policies in 2017. Since then you have to purchase drinks and snacks on all short-haul flights, including those to Gothenburg.
Always wondered if you have to pay onboard for food yet it's free in the lounge , so if you can use the lounge just eat in there , seems a silly concept
I flew with BAW from Duesseldorf via London to San Francisco - A320 to LHR and A380 to SFO- I am 190cm high and I had an aisle seat on both flights - 22C aboard the A320 an 73G aboard the A380 - my feet had more space on my A320 flight :(

It pisses me off that they reduce legroom :( I am 6ft3 (192cm) so sometimes it can get really cramped
I know it's a bit late but the reason the food was priced so high was because M&S is a really posh supermarket in the UK, serving the Queen ect

Ba have very good pilots and we'll trained, that was a good take off and a buttery landing

Considering that on an Italian High Speed Train a coffee costs about € 1.50-2 and on Swiss Trains it is about € 4.00 the BA price is correct.

The way BA is going with their changes/cutbacks is making me stick with Easyjet. Just turning themselves into another LCC I'm afraid.
