Hello!! I don't think that's possible unfortunately
Very few apps use 2x screens in Dex; one is VMware Horizon (hvd) but Android cannot do 2x external displays at once
This is a good way to use headset for DJI drone flying. You can use airscreen on q3 and send with airplay on iphone wireless but I have a fold3 also and it won't send a video signal airscreen accepts. Wierd how you can apple to android but not android to android. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comment!! This is a great idea, I'll see if I can get it working
@@husondiy if you have an iPhone, it WILL work, it's the samsung folds that are wierd. WE have DEX and other things that prevent the airscreen from seeing it. I am currently trying other apps that send/receive as I want to use my fold and drone inside the Q3 heaset for FPV.
@@husondiy Just tried to set this up without the phone. If you have RC2 controller you can do the exact same setup as with Dex. Important detail is to have the RC2 controller OFF when connecting. So follow this:
1. You connect capture device to Quest3
2. Open up the application to say "no signal"
3. Connect to the RC2 with RC2 OFF
4. Startup RC2
Et voila: Low latency connection to drone cam!
Thats awesome!!!! What cable you using between the RC2 and Quest 3?
@@husondiySame setup as in your video. But this only works on RC2 or PRO controller, because of HDMI output support on those.
How do you use Dex and charge the quest 3
You can go into a hub. So if you plug the capture card into a hub, and then the hub into the Quest 3. The power from the hub would charge the Quest 3 at the same time
@husondiy please clarify. Capture card is connected to the hub then the hub is connected to the quest 3. To charge the quest 3, I should also connect a charging USB to the hub? Is this right?
@jondeltuazon6402 that's correct 👍🏻
Still got stadia on you Samsung? 😉 awesome video btw , could this work with a Nintendo switch too ?
Haha great spot. Keeping it for old times sake 🤣.
It will work with the switch, we did a video on it here - czcams.com/video/06aoCMqR2qI/video.html
PS5, PS4, Switch and more
@@husondiy i know right! I miss it too. Thanks for your research.
@husondiy thank you for this. I have the Fold 4 and Q3 and I have yet to use DEX even though I heard about it b4. I used to plug both devices up with an adapter and usb-c on both ends and I was able to manually transfer files back and forth without any sideload (i dont have a pc to SL). After a recent update the auto program no longer comes on asking me if I wasnt to transfer files. Is there a way do transfer files befween devices using DEX? Also is there any type of work around for expanding memory without SL?
Hi there!!! Thanks for the comment. So doing it this way the headset only sees the phone as a video stream as it's coming via the capture card, so data can't be transferred.
Memory wise, you can plug an external drive into the headset I believe.
Hope that makes sense 👍🏻
I do not understand what I am doing wrong. Dex might not be working cause I could have an issue with the cables. I have tried with samsunf smartview and it does not list the device even though it's on the same wifi. Any suggestions,
same here did you find a solution?
can I do all of that while I'm connected on my mobile internet??
Yes 100% 👍🏻
We're do you get the app? Usb camera is not on sideload page
Hello!! You will need to source the apk and sideload it on. I use Apk Mirror
www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=apk&s=Usb+camera
I'm using Samsung dex for months on quest . But I run it with virtual desktop
Cool - how does that work?
Get the Dex software for your computer. Plug the phone into the computer to get dex on the computer. Then Virtual desktop on the headset to use the computer running dex.
interessante ma a mio avviso poco utilizzabile
now if I could just plug an external 3D blu-ray capable drive, and be able to watch my 3D discs, I'd be ecstatic.
That would be cool. If you have a drive that can rip Blu Ray's you can load them onto your device and watch 3D movies directly on there
Wasn’t totally convinced that audio was passing through, can you confirm??
Hi there!! Yes audio passthrough works!!
@@husondiy fantastic, thanks for confirming!!!!!
I can't find USB camera on sidequest? Anyone confirm this please
Hello!! You will need to source the apk and sideload it on. I use Apk Mirror
www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=apk&s=Usb+camera
Does this also work by Connecting my Laptop via Thunderbolt ?
Yes it should do. Any port that can output to HDMI in theory
Thank
you
Where do you have downloaded USB CAMERA APK?
Hello!! You will need to source the apk and sideload it on. I use Apk Mirror

Sorry, the Quest 3 does not provide the resolution to play cystral clear 360 video. It's all low resolution.
Dex would be nice on the quest 3 but no phone.
It certainly would wouldn't it!
is this the only one that we can connect meta quest 3 to smartphone or PC? i used another HDMI to USB-C type but meta quest 3 didn't recognize it at all... i can't find the USB camera on app display on quest 3. help me to know the reason
Have you used a capture card too?
@@husondiy not yet. Does quest 3 recognize capture card only??
The USB Camera app is expecting input from a capture card
@@husondiy I see. I will try with Ugreen capture card. Thanks bro!
No problem 👍🏻
Wheare i can download app usb camera for quest?

@@husondiy ok but which app on there?
@caseyreynolds9567 the one on that link. USB Camera. The link should take you straight to it
@@husondiy thanks, it's showing 2 different apps and like 10 different versions lol
where did you download video usb from
Hi there!! I use APK Mirror:

Will this work on Quest 2 also?
It certainly will!!
Now we can have meta vision pro
Whoop whoop! 😎💪🏻
you can share the apk?

@@husondiy thanks bro you are the best
Really disappointed they didn't test out a game
I can test a game for you to show it working. Any preference on a game?
@@husondiy yes play sky children of the light. That's a true test of mobile gaming. Not too big but controller compatible and also try clash of clans lol
So I could just plug in my HDMI from the PS5 to the Samsung Dex and then plug the USB C plug to the Q3,,. instead of phone
You can go HDMI from the PS5 into a capture card into your headset.
I covered that in more detail hereczcams.com/video/06aoCMqR2qI/video.html
I noticed that but I was wondering if I could bypass the docker or hub and go straight to the Q3. I also noticed that it was from Ugreen and not Samsung, opps. I'm gonna get one from Amazon $25 bucks. I tried PS remote but only got 720 res. out of it . I hope this is better. And thanks, thanks a lot.@@husondiy
Let me rephrase something. So I can now plug the PS 5 HDMI cable into the Ugreen and plug the output to my Q3 ? I don't have a Samsung phone, just a I phone, but maybe later. Thanks again.
You need
PS5
Hdmi cable from PS5 to capture card
Then capture card plugged into your headset
That should work
I should get it by 3/1, I'll let you know. Now I'm wondering,I don't have a Samsung phone but I got a Samsung Chromebook Tablet,I wonder if that'll work : ?@@husondiy
It really should not take this Frankenstein setup to do something that should be much more easily done through software.
Totally agree! Would be awesome if they had it built in so you can just plug in and go with 1 cable. Or even better, wirelessly!!!
@@husondiy I just ordered my connections from Amazon to give this a try. Thanks for the video, mate!
@@husondiy Ok, got my stuff in and gave it a go. I am surprised at how good the picture quality is. The only issues I have are:
1) Input Lag - This makes gaming really hard as I have to anticipate where I'm going to be when I press the buttons, and
2) How do you get the Pro version of USB Camera when the Quest doesn't have the Play Store?
Its highly unpractical if samsung provides a wirless dex app on the quest 3 that would be awesome tag samsung with that might actually be worth it 👌
Dex is already wireless, you click on dex icon when not plugged in and will search for wireless monitors instead of looking for a wired one
You're correct, but the Quest doesn't automatically appear when doing that. Unless you know of an app that might make this possible?
I did this with the Quest 2 in a number of ways more than a year ago. Made a number of videos explaining the process. This isn't new.
Why aren't my comments posting... Well i woudp tell you a few better ways of doing it but, my comments keep getting deleted.

Not deleted by me!! Let us know what you're thinking
@@husondiy The best way I found to do this is to use my Elgato hd60 s+ with a powered USB 3.2 hub with at least 60 watts of power output. You will be able to charge the quest and, power the Elgato at the same time and, you will have no latency. pretty much everything will be plugged into the USB hub and, then the USB hub output gets plugged into the quest. The app is the same one I am using. Unfortunately, even if you buy the app. You will need google play to not have to worry about the ads or, there are other methods of removing the ads. You just have to find the right patching tool. Sadly, getting google services on the quest can cause issues with the quest. At least from what I read in other forums.
@@husondiy I do have a peakdo hdmi to usb-c adapter that I use for my xreal air glasses, It supports power in but, need to test it on my quest to see if it can both charge and, send video. If that works a bit better ill let you know.

Lot of work for an experience a lot worse than just air linking into my pc.
Agreed. But if you're on the go or don't have a laptop for example it's a definite use case
@@husondiy use dex on your phone or tablet? How is that in any way more convenient than my tab s8 ultra and a keyboard dock?
I'm not saying it is. If you have the tablet then that makes sense
