I never forget the feeling of pride when Venus first won Wimbledon. We screamed so loud and ran through the neighborhood waking up the neighbors! I'm the same age as Venus and I literally can remember moments of my life to what tournament she was winning and playing in at the time. I am a high school tennis coach today because of Venus's inspiration. I am here biggest fan! She is the best.....I said what I said! I know yall love Venus as well.
To go a little further, when I was taken in by my adopted parents, after attending 17 different schools due to poverty, I felt a little out of place being an African American male in a predominantly white community, neighborhood, school, etc. But my parents introduced me to tennis, as tennis was something they enjoyed and understood. Venus came along at the same time winning and shocking the world, which gave me a perspective to express myself and my culture with something the community understood.

Great to see Venus back out there! I have been a huge fan since 1997 US Open. Venus has brought us so many great memories, but my favorite will always be the 2005 Wimbledon final. I cannot say how many times I have watched that match, where Venus played from behind, but absolutely refused to lose. I was saving my favorite Venus matches on DVD for years before CZcams came along. So much joy Venus has brought to people who have watched her from the stands and on TV. All the Williams family have been great role models, simply the best!
