I don't have a camper van but I do have an L200 and live in a caravan for now. I did consider a roof tent for the L200 as those look incredible
Do you live in it yourself? I'm interested in van living/travelling at the early stages of looking into it all.
@@danella90uk67 my advice with a caravan in the UK is to find a non moldy used one then carefully gut and rebuild it. MDF+floor insulation work wonders in thermal control.
Because one of our pups was destructive, I've covered all widows like that and the caravan is much colder than outside temperature. We've been relocated to the awning.
On my next caravan I'll be doing all walls like that and get electrics upgraded to house grade. Our heater packed up and so did the electrics. We've bypassed it with a mains plug to outlet and then used extensions to split power.
We're also lucky enough to have a slow defrost fridge freezer.
Another very important lesson if moving from a house, you need to cut down on things you own, the space is limited and there's no room for things you don't actually need.
I do recommend a pickup as a tow vehicle. Especially if it has a box over the bed. There's plenty of tow hitches that have inbuilt suspension to mitigate the harder pickup springs
