Let's not forget about how BioWare abused their employees to the point of emotional and mental damage with excessive crunch periods just to shit Anthem out to appease Unicronic Arts and called it "BioWare Magic".

@@horseeatsdogfood5721 you should read the article Jason schreier wrote about it or watch a video summary. The whole thing was messed up. The term used at BioWare was 'stress casualty', for employees who had to take medical leave because of stress caused by poor working conditions. Some staff would just find an empty office, close the door and cry.

@@e1iteyoshi998 yep, i'm pretty sure the laymen gaming did as well along with several youtubers. For a while there were weekly videos on anthem highlighting its many bugs, glitches, broken promises etc. The story of its troubled development was one of the biggest. Later last year we saw BioWare delete the roadmap, the lead producer and the head of live services quit too.
It's been one thing after another and the playerbase has been consistently low as a result. A story emerged at the end of the year suggesting a possible relaunch but I imagine that was just a last ditch attempt to boost sales of the now 5 to 10 dollar Anthem before Christmas.
When playing Man Of Medan, there’s a lot of graphics bugs that are freaking hilarious, though. Once in a cutscene on Flis’s boat, the ship’s wheel started flying away from the boat as it drove off.
I lost it as it just yeeted itself out of existence.

As a fan of some of the shows they are pure cursed images. Especially the HxH characters
They look like plastic figurines. Screw that, plastic figurines look a lot better than whatever those models are.

Man of Medan was one the games I was most looking forward too. I still haven't finished it. It did a poor job of establishing the characters. I love the characters of Until Dawn, but I can't remember any of the Man of Medan people.

I feel bad for anthem, my friends on PSN were so excited for it that they bought me a copy so we could all play together. After a month we all got to the endgame grind and promptly stopped playing shortly after they "Fixed" a bug causing rare loot to drop more often then normal.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 has given me some fantastic co-op sessions with the kids and introduced them to the wider Marvel universe beyond Spider-Man. Crackdown 3 was a rare instance of bingeing the game over a weekend.
I think what they had in common was neither required much attention. You could switch off and play them almost on autopilot and in a stressful year where I've really struggled to switch off and relax, I needed that exact kind of comfort food.
I can see how they'd get repetitive and dull if you're playing them to completion, but when just reaching the credits is good enough, I was really happy.

I think Black Order is really good past that personally. Hell, since then they have added some of the most ingenious and satisfyingly challenging things I've seen in a long time. But no one is playing it despite most people begging for stuff like this!

@@WebstersCZcams It is but I will admit... Not by much. 13 characters, new kinds of upgrades both cosmetic & non cosmetic, doubling the size of the skill tree, and the new modes. Four of them or so.
Bottom line, no hesitation whatsoever if you have a gift card or sale, and not much if you don't.

Subspace Emissary is a good example of how to do a cross over like Jump Force’s story better, and trophies helped give info on the characters that you didn’t know.
Anthem hasn't updated at all Jirard. They only changes that were made were patched out bugs that people enjoyed. Other than that they completely abandoned their road map and they claim they'll reboot the game at a later date but that's doubtful.
Maybe they could hand it to Ubisoft, they seem to have a hand with fixing service games that launch in a terrible state. Wouldn't surprise me if by the end of its life even Breakpoint is a well regarded game.
Well said, the endgame is still just running the same four short missions again and again. Some people are convinced a relaunch is coming but BioWare haven't announced anything and the article written by Schreier suggests that any plans aren't in active development.

@@sinteleon I think people underestimate how difficult that is to pull off. There's a great documentary on youtube on the channel 'noclip' documenting the struggle of making a realm reborn'.
Completely remaking the game was a huge financial risk and it took a heavy toll on the development team. Square enix not only rebuilt the game but updated the vanilla FF14 and maintained excellent communication with the community.
BioWare have scaled back heavily on their post launch promises, they've maintained silence and haven't interacted with players, haven't made any promises regarding a relaunch and putting that much work into a new IP which disappointed in terms of sales... I don't see it happening. Plus BioWare just have no idea how to make a looter shooter.
As long as they pull a Final Fantasy 14 and reboot it from trash fire to really good.

Dr. Mario World didn't even play like Dr. Mario. With preset puzzles and pieces, it was less Tetris with pills as it was Angry Birds with pills. Conplete with 3 star ratings per level

I will admit I wished MUA 3 had kept what made MUA 1 had that made it great. No grabs, punching enemies in the face while grabbed, throws, different combos, no using enemy weapons? That ain't it. All we got was a standard combo and heavy attack with no variation of moves like trips, uppercuts, stuns, and character-specific finishers. Also the main campaign while replayable with higher difficulties, were very linear, became predictable, and boring. Not much secrets and though it seems the costumes are ok most are palette swaps with most getting just 1 alternate color(not really counting a palette swap as an alternate costume). Also I wished the dlc that we got so far had an actual story instead of just counting for exp gain and not really much else besides palette swaps and new characters which can be leveled to add to the completion of the alliance enhancement trees. Pretty much MUA3 was fun but now I really dont see why to pick it up and play it just for the heck of it. There's no post game just dlc that's cool for a while and then gets old quick. Hopefully if there will be an Ultimate Alliance 4, the developers will look back at Ultimate Alliance 1 and take notes. That game had TRUE alternate costumes and combos and many secrets plus you could collect comic book covers and do simulator missions! You got to hear a monologue of a hero/heroin explain their origin and then you do a specific mission for them. And Marvel trivia games! Games where if you get the answers right you get lots of xp. MUA3 forgot all that.

I respect your opinions Jirard. However, I guess it os a difference in experience, bit I haven't had any of the glitches that was in your video of WWE 2K20. The biggest issue I have had is it crashing periodically or more recently it has started crashing constantly.
