    Nihal resigned because he has only one move left ...Ke7 after which Andreikin's move of Nc6+ forking the black King and his Rook on a5 is a simple win for white.

    This game shows that even if Nihal was better at some time, experience of Andreikin (self control of Andreikin and his clock control - never under 5 seconds on Nihal's turn - and setting a lot of traps in the endgame) was what decides of the game. Keep it on Nihal, one day you'll beat them all !

    Nihal is a champ, He takes his loss in right spirit and I am sure he will learn from his mistakes. Endgame is more about taking options from your opponent and clearly Andreikin is better.

    Magnus is world’s number 1 the reason this guy was tagged as Carlsen beater. He just proved his worth when he beats Nihal in this game which to me Nihal had a slight edge before he made a blunder leading to his resignation.

      Because Blacks only can move the King to E7. After that, Whites will move the knight to C6, with mate and also touching the Rook. Thats why blacks gave up.

      They drew. See how they place their kings at the middle of the board, each one in a square of their respective color. That's how a draw is signaled on the board.

      Also, just in case you didn't know, when there's a winner, the kings are placed at the middle of the board each of them in a square of the same color as the winner's (the game shown in the video ends with both kings at white squares because white won). That's how a victory is signaled on the board.

      @@shubhamvaidya4094 after getting check, he was left with one square (the one which is in front of King) if he would have moved there white's obvious next move was to check the King using Knight while attacking at Rook simultaneously. The game was done there as Nihal would have lost the Rook if he would have played any further. So no point of dragging this game anymore therefore he resigned with a smile.

    He must steady on the safe move instead.
    Hence, Andreiken is a defensive mode player....
    Very cautious to do an attack unless form a SOLID defense first...
    The key to beat carlsen..
    EXPERIENCED Andreiken is an advantage to beat less experienced Nihal ..who is a very
    Agressive player on attack mode...
    Lesson ....never tried to do unsure move to win a drawish game agaisnt a high rated gm like andreiken...

      Ade Wahyu it’s a Typical Indian mentality. Looking at others and making a quick judgment. A sign that Nihal is quite intimidated by his opponent and his subconscious tries to get something out of his opponent. Also a sign of weakness & low self esteem. Needless to say Nihal lost the game lol
