Man, this is incredible! I absolutely love the way you mixed the bass (and the keyboards as well) in this one. Especially since the bass part in this song is so insanely good, it’s a real shame that it’s somewhat buried in the mix at during some parts of the original.
Nice as hell job on doing this , gives a lot of folks that can't handle Mikael's Demon vocals a chance to hear the band where they would usually not make it past his first lines with that growl . As a musician i find it quite the treat to hear some of these tracks with no vocal even though i have no problems with the growl other than the fact he can do that & turn around & sing with such a fine voice & in the same compositions . What a great band they have always been.
Hey man I love this. I blast it through my truck at work hahaha. I absolutely love opeth but I cant stand the screams. I listen to their songs and try tune it out and just listen to the instruments. If you could do one of these for "in the mist she was standing" i would love you so much. Also twilight is my robe would be another great one.

This is amazing! I've been trying to make some instrumental mixes from surround versions of BWP and Ghost Reveries, and it's mostly fine, but I can't get rid of some vocal reverb. How did you manage to do it and make it sound so clean? Thanks!
Thanks for the reply, had no idea there were other original stems other than NTM's Heir Apparent. Searched for a bit and can't find BWP though, so I'll have to make do with the surround mix, which is decent enough, but not as clean. I'd be grateful if you'd do some other Opeth instrumentals in the future!

The only thing I be good at is the growls which I find out by listening to this wonderful song.

Did you mix this from the bottom up? The bass and keys seem more audible in this mix which is absolutely incredible
It's just a quick mix but yes, I'm a bit of a whore for keyboards and synth so I put the spotlight on them.
