old Opeth is the only growly I can listen, and it's 100% thanks to the music. I understand why they don't do it anymore. It's not "necessary" for their music. Some die hard fans could kill me for such heresy :)
I used to dislike death growls as well but thanks to listening the fuck out of Opeth and Between the Buried and Me, I know enjoy them and I discovered the beauty of death metal. I hope you can do too someday because the growls in this particular song are sooooooo gooooooood

What's the way to remove vocals from a track?
You can't do it as well for most songs I'm afraid. This song was on Nail The Mix so anyone could pay to download all the tracks
Duplicating the track and switching polarity of one of them pretty much does it
I like it better without vocals
