Mt Elbert ascent via Black Cloud Trail

Come along for a mid summer hike up the most difficult of the trails summiting Mount Elbert, the highest peak in Colorado. We will be going up the Black Cloud Trail. It is only a 5-1/2 mile trail, but with nearly 5,000' of elevation gain, it is not for the faint of heart, or for the casual hiker. You don't need to be fit for this hike though, just sit back and relax and I'll do the hiking for you. Steep climbs are rewarded with million dollar views.

My camera is an insta360 x3. It's an incredibly powerful and feature rich camera that takes wonderful pictures. You'll see a tiny amount of blurring on the seam between the two wide angle lenses. There are also a couple smudges on some of the shots, from where I brushed against trees and didn't get the lens cleaned off properly. Here is a link to the manufacturer: store.insta360...
I researched the trail before I went, and included a couple screenshots from my trip, using the All trails app and web site. It is a truly excellent resource, with a ton of information available to anyone, whether they have an account with them or not. Additional resources are available to people with a subscription.
