Double Dare should come back in the Covid-19 era, and the spoilers would still be PhD's and if you beat them, it'll be worth $10,000, adding $1,000 to the jackpot until you defeat the spoilers! And if we have a new champion, then the jackpot will reset at $10,000; and instead of CBS, it should be on ABC on the weeknights right after Wheel Of Fortune!

I heard if Nickelodeon decides to do another reboot. Mark Summers would not indolent and said he was pretty much done with Nickelodeon Double Dare.

    Since many game shows are coming back, here's how I imagine a Double Dare reboot.
    1. Rename to something else to avoid confusion with the Nickelodeon game show, whose name is more associated with it rather than the Alex Trebek show. Given how the game revolves around challenging three experts called "Spoilers", I would suggest a more relatable name like "Spoiler Alert"
    2. Have a fun host as Alex is sticking to Jeopardy without looking back. My suggestion is someone like Jason Silva (former Brain Games host).
    3. Give out an upgrade to the setting, music and even sound effects as it's a bit dated and even goofy though, not too flashy. Especially since the Double Dare theme is the same as Card Sharks, a show that got rebooted, theme and all, it makes sense.

    • @hotwax9376
      @hotwax9376 Před 5 lety

      @West Coast Emerald Bull I would hardly call the setting, music, and sound effects dated. Most of the classic game shows that ABC has revived recently have kept the original sound effects, music, and setting in some form, and most of those shows have had good ratings. Same goes for The Price is Right on CBS, which has kept things pretty traditional for the most part (aside from Mike Richards' removal of Roger Dobkowitz, Brandi Sherwood Cochran, and Rich Fields, of course), and still gets the highest ratings in its time slot.

    • @mackenziewachter2508
      @mackenziewachter2508 Před 2 lety

      I think Brad Rutter would be a better host for the reboot because of his victory of Jeopardy's Million Dollar Masters, Ultimate Tournament of Champions, and All-Star Game. Though it might be difficult if he left The Chase. I still hope James Holzhauer will still remain as The High Roller on The Chase itself. Another reason that I want Brad Rutter to host the reboot is because that I'm hoping that Ken Jennings will become the permanent host for Jeopardy sometime soon.

    Alan (Al) Lusher appeared on Jeopardy! in 1985. Amongst his competition was Tic Tac Dough contestant Mark Leinwand. Alan's nervous mannerisms and trembling voice were also quite evident on Jeopardy!, as he tended to jerk himself forward everytime he attempted to buzz in, locking himself out in the process. (The buzzers will not work until a light goes on inside their podiums). Appearance-wise, Alan hadn't changed much, his hair was just grayer. Unfortunately, Alan's Jeopardy! experience was much less successful. In fact, Alan was one of the few victims of forgetting to phrase the Final Jeopardy! answer in the form of a question, which was a very costly and embarassing mistake.
