After "Double Dare" (Alex Trebek) got cancelled in 1977, the theme music would be reused for "Card Sharks" on NBC starting in 1978.

and when Card Sharks debut on NBC, Alex Trebek returned to NBC with an Updated Version of High Rollers and 5 months later, JEOPARDY! would return to NBC with the late great Art Fleming as host and the show would be Videotaped at NBC Studios Burbank, CA which was also the home to HR, CS and Wheel of Fortune as well as The Original Hollywood Squares with Peter Marshall
JEOPARDY! would also have a Bonus Game called Super JEOPARDY! in which a contestant can earn $5000 in Cash

The man who composed CBS Double Dare/NBC Card Sharks theme song, Edd Kalehoff, also composed Nickelodeon's Double Dare theme song.

It's a good variation of Jeopardy! that likely got Trebek the job for the 1984 Jeopardy! revival.

He's known as "Doc" because of his boyhood ambition.
In the first act of one of his hits, a poker player says: "Hey Oscar, let's make a rule. Every 6 months you have to buy fresh potato chips.
Probably Broadway's most successful comic playwright.
In a recent movie based on one of his hits, George Burns says "Knock Knock" and Walter Matthau will only answer..."Enter-r-r-r!".

@@jakeblake415 Yeah, when it debuted, it was opposite "Wheel of Fortune". CBS later swapped its time slot with "The Price is Right". (IOW, "DD" moved to (9:00 AM Pacific Time, while "TPIR" was moved to 9:30-10:30). However, "DD" still couldn't compete with what NBC had on opposite it, which i think was "Sanford and Son" reruns.
