Hey! I'll just drop this compilation showing all the Endings of Heavy Rain that I finally got around to do. Hope you enjoy it! I only added the Origami's Grave ending variation because both are quite different (and interesting), while on the others, the only difference is that they have people leaning on trees, boooring.
The endings are organised, from each character point of view, from the best to the saddest, and death. (IMO)
I'll dedicate this week to play and record our next game, which will be Trauma Team by popular demand, wish me luck. Hopefully I'll have something around next week~

With Ethan: I commited suicide
With Madison: in the killer's apartment she opens a window and says: I'll die if i jump from here and it gives me the option to jumpo or not to jump i thoguht "oh, if it gives me the option to jump then i am not going to die" i jump, i die
With Norman: i accused blake and i died

This was a really organized way to show all the endings. Thanks for that. It's good to see that there actually is a good ending for Jayden.
Unvirtuous Films Jayden hallucinating doesn't really mean a bad ending, they never really showed what harm it could do.

The one where he quits the FBI is decent. At least he gets to live a normal life and Triptocaine won't damage his brain to the point of no return in this one.

Not really. Only 3 of his endings include him committing suicide. These three endings are Tears In The Rain, Origami Blues, and Helpless. Ethan is already dead in Ethan’s Grave, so you can’t really say he committed suicide if he was killed. And his 3 best endings. Which are Innocent, A New Start, and A New Life. Which both Ethan AND Shaun survive. Note that the former 3 endings you can only get if Shaun dies.

Compared to Beyond two souls, the endings in Heavy Rain are very diverse and different. Makes the game very unique

I wanted to get all the endings so I forced myself through it.
I only truely disliked the endings where Shaun died. To be honest everything else was normal for me
Lots of them were so stupid that I wanted to cry.
Ethan's Grave 9:41 , Heroine 10:49 , and Uploaded 20:35 are my favorite bad endings out of all of these (besides the good endings of course). Ethan's Grave was sad, but I think Shelby finally found the father he was looking for and hopefully would stop his killings. Heroine I liked because I could smell a sequel :) and finally Uploaded was amazing because I hated Blake. I wanted Ari to destroy him! I loved Norman's face when he entered the world like "You're next bitch hehehe"

That explains it.
***** Even the fact that the origami killer (Scott Shelby) wanted to find a dad that would do anything for his son did not make sense. Why would he want to do that? It's not like it would make him feel any better, and it wouldn't change the fact that his dad was a piece of shit.
Good moral lesson, but that is different. That is revenge, which makes sense as to why someone would want that, regardless if in the end it makes them feel better. In the case of Heavy Rain however, putting other kids in the same death scenarios isn't revenge.
It's unfortunate that Shelby got away SCOTT FREE!

You're confused, Shaun is not Lauren's son, but Grace and Ethan's. Lauren's son, Johnny, was one of the Origami Killer's victims prior to the events of the game.
Some endings almost made me cry but im glad I got the ending ethan and madison are together with shaun but off topic norman jayden was my favourite character in the whole game and hate seeing him die

randomuser1105 Madison did sort of quit Journalism and wanted to live a life with Ethan alone. Ethan even tricked her for him a chance to kill himself. I mean, shit Madison cared for his well being most of the time, and Ethan offs himself, the hell!

I appreciate the time it took you to get all those endings. I managed what i felt was one of the best endings possible without romancing Madison. everyone but the origami killer lived though there was a bit of dark foreshadowing with Madison and Jayden.
The first time i played, Ethan and Madison were together with Shaun in the end, Norman killed by the Origami killer in the last chapter, and Lauren finaly get her revenge! Its the optimal ending like in a movie, you know bitter sweet ending cos Jayden died. I enjoyed it very much and played it until got all achivements. :) Nice vid! Thx
The ending where Norman quits the FBI is actually the happy ending, because otherwise he either dies or goes insane. He needs to take the drugs in order to counteract the side effects of wearing the ARI glasses or he’ll suffer permanent brain damage. However, the drugs are killing him. So, as much as Norman deserves to be at the final showdown at the warehouse with the Origami Killer, if you want to save the most people, he cannot be one of the ones who solves the mystery. Ethan and Madison will have to be the heroes.
We choosed the ending where Ethan and Norman are in warehouse and they save Shaun and kill Scott. This is the best ending.

I think the story of "Heavy Rain" goes beyond the trope of the love of a father. I think it's about having goals and what are you willing to do to reach them. That's why the endings I made sure the endings I got corresponded to my vision.
-Sometimes we accomplish them and evolve (A new Begining);
-Sometimes we accomplish them but don't make any progress in our lives (Heroine);
-Sometimes we fail, but get close enough ensure our legacy lives on to teach others (Uploaded);
-And sometimes we accomplish them, but the means we use to reach the end eventually has karma cath up to us (A mother's revenge);
-Now I'm going to reverse the roles for Ethan and Shelby. Because sometimes we are so flawless in the way we commit atrocities that the consequences never fully catch up to us (Unpunished). And sometimes, even though we accomplish our objectives and deserve to be rewarded, the world is cruel enough to deny us that rightful reward (Ethan's grave);
These 6 endings are remind us that we must keep fighting to pull it through in this cold rainy world. And the reason why we must fight, is because people like Scott are always lurking around the corner. This final lesson is going to be represented by the endings "A new Begining", "Heroine", "Uploaded" and "Unpunished" put together. The most realistic collection of endings (at least for me).

My ending on the first try
- Ethan and madison end up together but ethan goes to the wrong place and madison doesn't get the location, then ethan kills himself on the graveyard
- Jayden accuses blake, gets fired, and dies of an overdose.
- Super lauren kills scott

the ending "new life" you have to get an adress from scott's home in a computer behaind his wardrobe the password is "max" but you have to try other passwords 2 times before you get the option to type "max" and call norman (FBI dude) you get 2+ endings this way

does the game register both endings if for example, i finish a game by playing it through and i use chapter select with save on?
If the save function is enabled, yes.
Beware, Madison’s Heroine ending sometimes glitches and does not save (at least for me, it’s the only ending that’s done this) so you may have to try getting it more than once even with save enabled.

I've seen every one of these endings at some point. I've played the game all the way through five times now and the "saw all endings" trophy did not pop for me.

It has popped for me now, yes thank you. It's important to let the credits run each time you finish the game, I think that's why it didn't pop for me earlier, keep checking your epilogues under the chapters.
Paul Allen i got it to pop too, an hour ago.
I already got 18 endings by doing the requirements couple days ago but i never got the trophy.
I even repeated the whole process of unlocking all 18 endings again in hope to unlock the trophy but that didn't do the trick. I gave it several tries right after but still no trophy.
Till i saw the 10 hours platinum speed run.
Whoever was playing was having the same issue.
Till they played the "new start" from chapter select. And it popped for them.
I did the same and i got it.
The first ending is the best Ethan Madison and Shawn live together. I killed Shelby but I got Jayden killed lol.

I'm a bit late, but in the fugitives chapter you need to let yourself get arrested. Then in on the loose you have to surrender. After this Madison and Norman are still able to save Shaun. Solve the ARI puzzle with Norman and with Madison you just need to survive and at Scott's apartment, use max as password. Then escape from the place.

Assila 97 He hallucinated due to using the ARI (Augmented Reality Interface) glasses too much. It affects his brain's neural impulses when used for too long and it can kill him (there is a death scene showing this in which he bleeds from his eyes and nose and presumably chokes on his own blood.)
