I will never forget being overtaken by one of these things on my way home from work. The noise was simply INCREDIBLE!! Sent shivers down my spine.
Jeff Allinson my brother & I once raced one on the west side high in New York City. Unfortunately for the Lambo, the driver wasn’t too good with traffic so we beat him in a Lexus. But he got us on the straight away when the traffic was done

It's not a hawk but indeed a bird of prey, it's the Peregrine Falcon, which is a small raptor that divebombs to up to 200mph to catch prey.
Probably why the analogy is accurate.
Which became extinct here in America and about the 1920s
@@jamessveinsson6006 That's not right. Peregrine falcons in North America were endangered at some point around the 1970s due to DDT, but they've had stable populations since 1999 and were subsequently removed from the endangered species list.
It's a falcon not a hawk. Look at the wing shape.

IMO one of the top 10 most beautiful car designs ever. So low and sleek, yet muscular and imposing.

@@netweed09 Murcielago is the last old school style Lamborghini. I dont care how much faster or higher tech the newwer ones have. They lack the simplicity and style of cars like murcielago or diablo. thats why an aventador or any other car will never be better. not to mention murcielago has a manual transmission. also the style will never look dated.
@@german80 I think they all look dated prior to the Aventador (well, Lamborghini think so too, otherwise why bother producing updates?)
But - I do like the older cars, if only for their sound. They all sound Epic, amazing timeless noises and sometimes that can make a car alone

@@BigBackBuddy best looking Lambo ever. Powerful, menacing and genuinely imposing without over designing it with ridiculous spoilers, splitters and diffusers. It's like a well dressed, clean shaven business man that you just know has had somebody killed.

I have loved Audi for 15 years, and the Merciélago is one of my favorite exotics of all-time. I guess it makes sense now.
This used to be one of my favourite Top Gear CZcams clips back when I was a teenager. I often used to watch this clip both at home, and when I was at music college. Now, a decade later, here we are.
My love for Lamborghini is indescribably they make cars that talk to me, pure passion.

And with a McLaren F1, and very recently with the Bugatti Chiron, albeit he pitted an M4 against the Chiron, and if I remember correctly a Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 against the McLaren F1.

The V12 in this, I think, sounds better than the Aventador somehow. In the low revs it’s more growly and in the upper revs it screams. It’s also one of my favorite cars when I was a teenager, and still is; the Murcielago SV, in black, especially is just epic.

The golf thing was actually repeating something they did in the past, when they Tested the Diablo they also raced it against a Golf GTI.

Lamborghini are probably a more successful brand now than ever, due to years of sensible handling, but as pointed out, they're regarded as supercars - they're not considered to be hypercars in this day and age. Back in my childhood, they absolutely were.
Now if they were to produce a radical hybrid with McLaren-like performance and insane looks to rival the Veneno, they'd be king.
The aventador SV is faster than most hypercars around a track
Colds And it's about combining that sort of performance with the glamour and mystique which makes something truly elite. That's what will restore the Lamborghini legend to where it used to be; where few can compete and none can better them.

It was a E Gear manual and it wasn't that honor goes to the baby lambo, the Gallardo which lasted until 2013 while the Murcielago ended in 2011, the Gallardo had a manual from 2004 to 2013 making it the last Lambo with a manual.
honestly I don’t see why people get so hung up on ancient technology like the “proper manual gearbox” that just makes it more complicated to drive than it needs to be. might as well bring back the crank start as well

The Murcielago is really dull looking though no matter what color, the Revénton is one of the most maddest looking Lamborghini Murcielago based car ever, next to the Aventador J, the Murcielago is pretty dull for a Lambo given the Gen I version didn't age well over the years.
I've seen Murcielagos even the Spyder we'd go nuts for a Lambo but its not the most provocative lookinh thing.

Lamborghini Murcielago price = $382 000
Murcielago top speed 207 mph. 0-60 = 3.4 seconds. Quarter mile = 11.8 seconds.
ZR1 top speed 205 mph. 0-60 = 3.4 seconds. Quarter mile = 11.3 seconds.
Why pay $258 000 more to go 2 miles an hour faster?
