One of the greatest bass players in the world. these guys destroyed my ears 40 years ago and i still love em..
I fell in love with the Bass Player !
One of the best live bands on the planet!!
the best live version of this song ive ever heard
One of a zillion of my favourite Damned songs. And like Vanian, Sensible, Gray and Co. I am old enough to remember Corporal Clott, Stalingrad, Adam Chance and Zorro! 56 and without a pot to piss in but still living the dream folks!
name os song?
Just keep rockin it brother! 🤘
Brilliant. Dave gets better and better with his voice , more control and more confidant... Paul Gray.. Bass Legend
Totally …. A gravelly sub tone essence in his vocal delivery now
Paul Gray?😫😥😥😥
I meant probably married
I love this performance, perfect energy between the band. But what I love most about this performance is the blonde (security?) lady quietly jamming along in the background
great to see Paul back on bass
"Have we broken something already?" 😂😭😂😭😂
This is how it is when you don't take the business or yourself that seriously. You can play this great, look this great and still be relevant after 40 years.
lovely comment , peace x
Extremely well put, why I first loved the damned and have long loved the Damned
Indeed
Not so sure about relevance - agree otherwise.
The Damned have still got it after all these years, where other bands have fallen The Damned go on and on ! 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I was on the dole around 1999ish, tough times, but i used to look forward to going to the job centre because Paul Gray was my "new deal for musicians" advisor.
No fucken way ! its Paul Grey !! This just makes my day. There were a lot of great line ups in the Damned, but he first two were the best. They are definitely apples and oranges, and not comparable against each other. However, given the choice for a long term run, i.e. who would I choose if I had to pick only one for th rest of all time....Definately this one. Because, even though I am
a really big Punk fan, and maybe Brian was better on guitar for that, Cap & Paul were a really creative team for EVERYTHING that they did together. For Punk and so much more ! Which is perfectly depicted in this song. Hooray for Paul Grey !!
one of the best bass players.
Dave weaving amazing melodic harmony lines effortlessly throughout , while the band sings the main melodies. You can tell these tunes never get old..constantly reinterpreted to keep em fresh.
The last of the pioneers, Damned
Back in the year 1980 this was the song that our wee gang used to play constantly, our band that we followed and the best band ever is the Damned
The Captain, focused and taking it seriously, great musician..👍
He plays a mean guitar, I've always liked the Cap. Cheers
Paul Gray always add some class to the bottom end.. The Damned, UFO, The Hot Rods.. It just makes a big difference.
I love this band so much!
Absolutely brilliant.
Brilliant band.

2017 back at Maida Vale Studios - who'd have guessed?
Fab!
Legends.
Yup
I’ve played/recorded in that room!
Confident aren't they? With good reason...
Dave Vanian is Dorian Gray.
Absolutely !
❤ You fellows
Captain Sensible is playin a Gibson SG. I've always thought they have great sound.
My main axe is a Fender Stratocaster that I bought new in 1987. I love it, but I'm envious of the Gibson SG.
I'm too old to change brands now. My Strat is an old friend.
Paul Gray in this viddy is playing a Rickenbacker bass. I used to to have one, but stupidly sold it to someone that probably didn't appreciate it. That was a decision I now regret.
Public is just about to go on heavy pogo dancing and stage diving
Mint
Thanks to my old mate Darren Brown in Ballyclare High School for introducing me to The Damned.
Nelly
Go Paul 👍👍👍👍
Tony Hadley on the microphone 😁
The Damned sponsored by the BBC - Oxymoron in my mind.........

I'm so excited to see Paul Gray with The Damned that I might actually wee.
Vermillion 303 If that excites you so much as to wet yourself I think I may just do a number 2 if they welcomed back Scabies on drums!
Vermillion 303 fucking incredible
Who's making the errors? Monty ?
Who's drumming?

History of the World Part 1
Shit - is that Paul Gray?
Yes, indeed it is!
Weird.
Punk??????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Jeez, what an unresponsive audience.
Long live the Pistols!!!
self harmony yeah well let's forget about the cabaret act aka the Damned. They've not been a punk band since the 70,s
g man tramp that’s because they were and are talented musicians. If they were hacking away at three cords like the has-beens you seem to idolize you’d be shitting yourself for joy. You’re probably just as stagnant as that bloated poser Lydon.
Gary K Aw Diddums have I upset you, is your mascara running down your cheeks. I saw the Damned a few times in the 70,s when they were a punk band bet you didn't. By the way learn to spell.
Gary K OK chill out I'm old school same as you. The keyboard player should join Yes. The Damned stopped being a punk band halfway through Machine Gun Etiquette.
G man tramp. The keyboard player is a brilliant addition to the Damned sound as it develops over the years - my old mate at school Monty Oxymoron
David Vanian: here be the _GothFather_.
This is history. No pun intended... they have some incredible music.
