    I love the Nevada desert areas. Finding old artifacts, prospecting, or flying my drone, I always have a great time. Wind and weather can get harsh, so one needs to go prepared. There’s something wonderful about the solitude the desert offers. Great video.

      The largest Gold mine in Nevada. Is the Goldstrike Mine the largest gold mine in North America. It is located in Eureka County, right in north-eastern region of Nevada ???
      Is Gary tired of California Gold or just the politics 😂 ?

    Gary in the future you should write your name and address on your nugget bottles with a sharpie so if you loose em and somebody finds em they can mail em back to ya 🙄 Seriously though that’s a bummer, I know the feeling, I left a plastic vial with my test nugget in it on a rock in the Mojave as I went chasing a tarantula, by the time I got bored with the tarantula I’d forgotten about the test nugget bottle and only remembered I’d left it on a rock a couple hours later when I needed it again .. never did find it .. but I’m hoping another prospector eventually found it and made his day. 🤠👍

    Hi guys. A question for the group. We all know that the further the gold travels down a river the smaller the pieces get and the more rounded they get. But nobody ever says how far is far. Is the larger gold found in the first 1000 feet from source or the first ten miles from source? I just need to know approximately as I intend to do some detecting downstream from a side moraine left by a glacier. The moraine is only about a thousand feet wide and runs for several miles with streams and a few rivers cutting through it. Thx for any expert opinions given.

    Hello Gary. I watch your videos and I love how you do it. I found your channel because I was looking for information about the SDC 2300.
    I see that you still use this metal detector. Could you please tell me if this is worth the money or now after some experience with this device you would choose something else for the same money?
    I used only X-terra 705 and now I want to buy something more serious.
    I like the SDC 2300 because it is foldable and waterproof. I also considered the Garrett ATX, but for some reason I like the SDC 2300 better even though I haven't used any of them.
    Perhaps there is some similar device that is better than these two?
    Could you advise something when buying an SDC 2300? I heard there are improved versions. Is this true and which version is better? I will appreciate any advice.

    • @TwoToes
      @TwoToes  Před 2 lety +1

      You should pick your detector to match the type of detecting you will be doing the most of. Example - when we were in Nevada, I would have loved to have a 7000 with a large loop. But the SDC2300 is perfect for 90% of the detecting I do. When you get my age being able to fold the detector and put it in the pack is a large plus. When both hands are free you fall less!

    • @Rustytales
      @Rustytales Před 2 lety

      @@TwoToes
      Thank you Gary for your reply and advice!
      I think that the folding design is always convenient at any age. I used a non-folding detector and I never liked it because of the bulky design.
      Waterproof is also a big plus.
      Today I bought my SDC 2300 just a few hours ago and brought it home. Haven't unpacked yet. Looking forward to tomorrow to unpack it and try it out. :-)
