My dad had a 58 1/2 ton short bed wood floor 235 six 3 sp. trans. He bought it new for $1700. Had it for 9 years then bought a 67 3/4 chev CST with 327 & turbo 400. Plus it had bucket seats & carpet on the floor!
So cool! Love a ‘67 too.
Mate Derek and his Dad are just great people and the mum made soup for you all guys, great people great hearts. That 59 is going to be awesome. I have a 57 swb wellside with a Flatout Engineering C4 Corvette conversion not fitted yet as it's still a running pickup. Bring on the next installment UBT.

i used to live in oregon. that state has everything and its all beautiful. lush forests, coastal cliffs, flatlands, mountains, deserts. everything. where you guys were isn't even touching on what the state has to offer.

Love those Apache's. Had a 60c20 Apache Stakebed Truck with a cammed 235 and 4speed. Split manifolds, oil bath breather. Drove it 100 miles south from Louisville KY to Cartersville Kentucky at 45mph crankin 4k. Video on my channel. She was screamin man but did great not one spudder. Points went out 2 weeks later. Fixed that drove it to shows for a year round close here. Sold it to a 80yr old man and he's driving it still to this day a couple years later almost. 😎🇺🇸

I drove my 14 duramax over 100 miles on Wednesday where the temperature never got above zero. I don't have a winter cover and yet I maintained a comfortable cabin temp though it could have been better.
Boise the burb is very cool, but that 59 might be the pinnacle of classic trucks. 59 fleet side , short bed, patina green. Just doesn’t get any better than that! Incredible, incredible find.

33 that’s nothing we had 1° below zero yesterday morning in Denver. Lol
It’s a lot of work but a lot of fun! And it felt like 15. Wind chill was somewhere around 20. Definitely not sub zero. 😬

Speaking of them wheels you all should do a GM wheel explanation video they are a lot of confusion between the 3 nub and 4 nub wheels of the 60s and 70s some are for front disc some for front drums then they are different variations of width plus 100s of different types of hub caps wheels with clip on hub caps wheels with nubs for hub caps a good stock wheel and hub cap video would be amazing
Memories... first truck I remember my dad had a 58 GMC step side still have a scar from opening the door and it weighed more than I did pulled me right out of the cab

That video brought back memories i was born and raised in texas my wife was born in nampa idaho and all three of mi kids were born in ontario oregon we did lived in adrian for a spell i leaved in ontario and nyssa i had a 80 c10 stepside for while a 70 chevy c10 and a 86 c10 also had 64 c10 fleet side al were really solid trucks

I love ya man..."does it get hot in Idaho?" As cold as it was while you were there, he'll have a couple months of 90's in the summer with several days over 100. We don't have the humidity that you all do down south, but we get warm. I'm in Spokane, WA

The mountains in north GA are better IMO.
The North Georgia mountains are the most special - however I love it out West. Nothing replaces the blue ridge mountains for me though.
