That Burb is KILLER! Doesn't need a thing, except to be driven. I've had many many many squarebody trucks...roundeye Burbs were always my favorite!
Nothing wrong with that! I completely agree.
Can’t wait to see videos on the Apache getting worked on. That’s gonna be awesome 👍
Me too!
You and me both! Should be starting after we finish getting Teddy sorted out.
Awesome adventure! Thanks Derek for working and cleaning up the Burb, that things a beast, all those trouble free miles, and fixed by tapping on the dash, can’t wait to see the Apache, thanks for sharing the Adventure.
Thanks for watching!
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKSNice suburban. How much did you pay for it?!
That is a heck of a drive, never driven that far in my life. Have ridden a bicycle that far once... 32 days !
Wow! Now that's insane!
Robbie thanks for taking us on the ride with you guys it was great 👍!!!!! Can’t wait to see the future updates on that awesome 🤩 looking truck on the trailer and I’m glad the burb got you home safely!!!! See you in the next video!!!!!
Thanks, as always, for watching, Henry!
Really enjoying following along on this epic road trip - Safe travels
More to come!

A great end to an epic trip! Fantastic video coverage on this amazing journey to the beautiful Northwest. Can’t wait to see what comes across my TV screen from UBT next. Thanks, again, so much for the wonderful content on this channel.
Thanks so much for watching, Jeff. Always so encouraging!
Man! Looked like a fun trip! Awesome not having any issues!
You got that right!
Great road trip, you guys done good. Looking forward to what's done with the Apache. Great video as always
Thanks, Mark!
What a long but epic haul across the country. Congratulations to you three. Can't wait to see the fixing' up on the rigs.
Thanks for watching!
I love watching video's like this. Not sure if I ever could do a drive like that though. It definitely is worth the trip for what you're brining home Robbie.
You should! So much fun!
I've made so many trips like that. But we still love em! felt like I was right there with you guys. Great Stuff brother. Keep em coming.
So rad! Thanks for watching!
You guys definitely saw alot of the best scenery that the US has to offer!😎Thanks for taking us along for the ride!😎😎
Our pleasure! And yes we did!

Thanks for watching, man!
Great road trip adventure. Thanks for putting this together, really enjoyed it guys!
Thanks for watching, CJ!
Happy to see you made it home safe with no problem's , having Russ and the guys at Boise spring works freshen up the corner's and new tires made the drive much nicer, Russ took good care of me on new springs for my 77 duelly , he loves square body's to. I'm planning a trip to wintersville Georgia to visit a friend when I'm done restoring the duelly , I'll look y'all up
Thanks, Wild Bill! Boise Spring Works did a jam up job! Safe travels
Man you guys are awesome!
Great video I have made that drive from Washington to Michigan several times it is a sweet drive I will make it again keep them videos going
Right on!
great show as always, UBT all day!
Thanks for the inspiration guys, on the basis of this video I have just purchased my first Suburban, a 1990 square body with the good old 454 engine. I'm in New Zealand where there are very few Suburbans, and this one has been converted to right hand drive. I'm so excited!
That is awesome!
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS Now have it home, and it's in amazing condition. Only 71,000 miles, paint is pretty good, some electrical repairs needed but the 454 ran well, and the truck handled a lot better than expected. Could eat the road at 85 mph all day long.
Looked like a Beautiful Ride. Excellent Lookin Apache Ridin your tail there too. 😎🤘🇺🇸
It was insanely awesome! Ready to go do it again
I'm diggin that 59. That things almost as old as me. There's something so cool about round dual head lights.
And that's why I like it so much!
Hey Mike! That was a premium video! Lol. That must have been quite the editing process. Robbie, Mike, it was a pleasure meeting you guys at the meet up. Love the content.
haha thanks for watching and for coming to the meet-up!
Looks like so much fun! I love road-trips! By the way, you HAVE to honk your horn whenever you go through a tunnel… it’s a rule.. at least in my family
I can't believe how far you were from home ,that's a long haul but so worth it and I'm sure you had fun.
Yeah, man! It was awesome!
That hill you pulled outside of Laramee had some amazing homes on it. I made this same drive in june of this year moving our daughter to florida
Wow! Some beautiful country and homes around there!
Cool stuff. Every time I watch your videos I think of how much you look like Hank Jr.
haha i've gotten that a time or two. I'll take it as a compliment. :)
When you left Oregon, you were not far from my ranch. When you drove thru Wyoming, you drove right by my cousins ranch, LOL. Love the old stuff. I have a 1960 Chevy Apache pickup.
Man, that's so cool! Between this trip and Yellowstone (the series), I'm ready to move West. Such beautiful scenery.
I live in mountain home lol, didn’t realize you guys were here, I’ve been to that autozone and oreileys countless times
Beautiful town even though we only saw it in the dark
Man that is one good lookin apache you always find the nicest trucks
I need to STOP finding them and work on a few. lol
my 1981 burb is only a 1500 and it does the same when its towing as far being twitchy with the steering wheel. looking forward to seeing what you guys find with yours.
That 59 is sweet my guy!
Yes, it is! I'm so pumped
Epic road trip! I would love to have a Yuba Gold 3/4 ton 'burb.
I'm real glad to have this one!
These road trips are awesome
They are! I really love making these videos.
What a journey 👍
The best kind.
The things we do for trucks. I picked my 66 up in NC, 23 hrs turn and burn🤙💯
Isn't it fun?!?!?
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS definitely is
Hi from Suffolk UK, great road trip ! Burb looks a real useful wagon, 59's gonna make a fantastic project, incidentally was I the only guy yelling " put the 59's gas cap on the burb " just sayin. Keep up the good work
Haha i don’t even recall if it had one! Thanks for watching!
A year ago in December I picked up a helicopter in Boise. We took the same route across Idaho and into Wyoming. At Rawlins we turned north and went through Casper and over to Lusk Wyoming and then home to Custer. If you didn't notice, the wind never stops in Wyoming. In Jan of 18 we flew a Gyrocopter from Nephi Ut to Custer SD. Landing in Rawlins was interesting with the wind and when we took off into the wind and tried turning the aircraft east we couldn't get it straightened out right away. We flew sideways for several minutes until we could bring the nose around.
Good grief! I don't like flying and definitely wouldn't have liked that wind in a helicopter. That said, it sure was crazy how it was blowing that much on the ground!
all the trucks in this video are floyd approved!!
That gas stop in Missouri was in New Florence about 45min from me LMAO.
Very cool!
Nice trucks,
Thanks!
Sure enjoyed this adventure.
Me too!
Haha, I’m getting ready to embark on a road trip to Wyoming from Michigan with my 98 Sierra with 266,000 miles. I know she’ll make it, just replaced the rear end, and she’s got the 350 Vortec in her! 💪🏻💪🏻
You got this!
That would be a awesome hotshot rig you already have a good size sleeper just make a bed that's why I used a full size SUV
Whenever I drive my 77 Burb, factory 454/th400 towing special, I have to remind myself, this is how it used to be done, although gas was .50 a gallon..😬
Man, isn't that the truth!
Cool 😎 video is not about the destination it's about the journey
No truer words...
I miss traveling in a suburban, made a lot of road trips as a kid,
They're a lot of fun and so functional!
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS for sure, my mother spent months in Portland looking for a 3/4 ton suburban that had a tailgate, 4 wheel drive, third seat and rear air conditioning, but vinyl interior so she can hose out blood from deer hunting on the reservation in Klamath falls. And she did, and then years later that car was sold to the junkyard, and I really wished I had the resources to keep it back then.
Truck did awesome a lot of people understamte these ol truck's
It's true. This one did amazingly.
Mike said "ROBERT" 🤣🤣🤣
Haha see how he treats me?
That new sticker is for Mike’s next business, Howe’s Y’all Doin Garage.
Bahaha i love that
Nice👍
Thanks for watching!
Planning on doing a road trip like this in my 94 k2500 burb this fall. But debating on renting a brand new burb because my burb is a big block 454 and im sure i can rent and pay for gas cheeper than just gas in my truck 1 way lol 😂😂
Likely but I sure do love the adventure of hitting the road in one of these old trucks!
Loved every second of it! That Burb & Apache couple is a nice marriage!! Oops I said marriage, sorry bout that
haha yes they are!
You drove right by my house.
Really? Which state?
Loved the video. Burn that carhartt beanie!!!
Thanks so much! Yeah, I didn't realize the public dissatisfaction with them as of late. I live under a rock. lol
Jealous! Looks like a lot of fun.
All the fun!
Good video man, question though, what kind of insurance you have in it? Want some type of hagerty type insurance for the theft value of it but really want to be able to tow legally with it if possible…..
You guys are amazing and here I complain when I drive back home in a 2 year old straight six cylinders for 1300km crossing 3 countries in EU! 🤣👍
You got this!
30hrs of SQRBDY wind noise...that's a challenge there lol
It actually wasn’t too bad. Pretty surprised actually
Is the gas cap of the truck on the trailer will on yours
I have a dulley can u help.me.fix it iqm in a weelchair ND incant climb on top of truck to work on it
As someone who lives in Boise and grew up in Missouri, I have made that trip many, many times going home to visit family. The wind NEVER stops blowing in Wyoming. How'd the burb pull that hill outside Laramie going toward Cheyenne?
Man, it was ROUGH! Steady at 35 but never faltered. It’s so beautiful out there!
It was ROUGH! Pretty steady at 35 but it never wavered. And yeah, the wind. Whew!
Wyoming is Nebraska to us rocky mountain boys
We say Boise like you do
Stopping on the interstate is dangerous
I drove from s.w. Montana to Savannah once
Mossy trees👍
gross tea,dry countys,humidity👎
I have a 79 GMC Suburban, I live in Colorado, but we have a home in California, near Joshua Tree... I would love to drive her there this spring. What should I do just too increase my odds of getting there without calling AAA? Thinking of bringing a box full of parts like: Fuel Pump...hoses...belts...starter...
That's it. Start with a decently healthy drivetrain and check fluids every stop. Don't miss one.
What kinda speed and rpms were you guys running??
Fleetside are the badass' badass
Man aint that the truth!
I need more forest service truck videos
They're coming! We're about to do a quick rebuild on our '68 GMC and then back on Smokey
Fuck Yes! i Love this would love to do this one day! Hopefully crypto will let it happen
I would went in gas station asked if someone left gas cap behind you never know
i miss wyoming alsome pics
Robbie my suburban has its gas cap with a key. Im going to be parting out the suburban to build a k10 truck. You can have the gas cap with the key if you want it. Im not gonna need it.
Thanks, Eric! We're all set now, but hang on to that gas cap.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS your welcome. 10-4 I will.
It grandpa and steamboat on that sticker
Might just be a camera angle illusion, but looks like your fuel line and filter may have slid down kinda of close to the manifold. I'm sure if it's an issue you would have noticed by now. Just thought I'd mention it.
Thanks! It actually didn’t cause us any issues. We’d been keeping an eye on it all the trip.
I'd pay to know what the guy and his wife towing the Gmc thought of you goons blowing by him in a 46yr old burb hauling that sick old apache haha 🤙🤙🤙
Haha me too!
I didn’t understand what happened to the gas cap? You left it on top and drove away from the previous gas stop?
Yep!
Is there a reason for running without a fan shroud, over cooling, or just didn't have one?
This one just didn't have one but had no problem staying cool
Hey Robbie…bubba here from Indiana….are they having c10 nationals again this year…if so do you know the dates ?? Thanks my friend 👍🏼
They are, and its in October in Nashville. Don't know exact dates but they are out there on the web.
Does that burb have the 203 full time transfer case that someone converted to a part time or is it the 205 gear driven case
203 converted to part time. What’s your thoughts on them vs the 205?
I have 5 trucks and 1 blazer that are all full times. For us full times are the way to go on the farm . They are more maintenance. I bought one a few years ago that was converted and I converted it back. Only thing about converting them is the rear out put shaft I'll starve for oil because the chain throws the oils up and conversion stops chain from spinning. Instructions say your supposed to lock your hubs every few hundred miles for a few miles to relube the rear out put shaft . So if you're going to do that might as well leave it a full time. Or leave your hubs locked and it will spin front drive shaft and it will keep it oiled but still have your conversion kit.
@@MP-io7yj very helpful info! Thanks!
👍🏾👍🏾
What kind of mileage does the burb get I had a k5 blazer pulled a 58 Plymouth from Missouri to Arkansas probably got 6 mpg
I bet this one was somewhere in that range. I checked it one time and it was about 9.
Emmy Award winning writing and acting.
bahaha you know this ain't scripted!
Didn't catch what engine you have in the Suburban. Is it the 454?
400
Next time make a trip to Mexico and buy a 1991 Mexican cheyenne amigo!
OHHHHH! That sounds cool
I know 2 men named Boise 🙂
Gotta know Boise is a French word hence the female side of the naming process.
Is your steering wheel ...upside down?
Haha yep!
Haha! That’s awesome
Wassup
YOOOOO!
Margaret: Jim I thought I told you to stock the cereal bars this morning what the heck?
Jim: I did stock em Margaret.
Margaret: well where did they go then Jim?
Jim: I don’t knoooow Margaret.
Overnight guest Bob: I saw a big Sasquatch take two hand fulls before he escaped out the front door .
Boom bam biscuits
Que the music ..
bahahaha we call him the Ginger Viking!
why didnt you steal the apache gas cap?
Didn't even think about it, but I'm honestly not sure it even had one.
How much did gas cost you??
I haven't totaled it up yet. Scared to. lol
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS probably best that you don’t. 😂
Okay I love the video BUT…. Who doesn’t honk going through a tunnel???
Haha horn doesn’t work!
One job to do....🤣
lol
Loved the video but your sequence of towns was out of order while traveling through Wyoming. Just sayin 😉
Say what? I paid super close attention to that. Little America then Rawlins, right?
There are two Little Americas. One just 60 east from the Utah border. Then Green River, Rock Springs, Rawlings, Cheyenne then the Nebraska border.
@@billybike57 Ahhhh! So which one were we at? I felt like it was the one just over Utah border then into Rawlings etc
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS I couldn’t tell but it it was the one out in the middle of nowhere, that was the one just east of the Wyoming/ Utah border. I couldn’t tell.
28 mpg LOL
Yeah right
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS Did you get an estimate of the overall mpg on that trip?
I'm guessing about 10
smoke another one
Care to elaborate?
