      Saltwater bass fishing in both the bays and outside on deep structure is good year round.

    You covered everything and I know it might seem like a dumb question but how come nobody ever keeps the legal bass u catch?

      TK fam5 it's just a fish which has a slow growing population so its always better to let them go if u can/want to

      14 inch or bigger is legal to keep. We choose to never keep any bass. They are purely for sport and tourment fishing for us . Thanks

    I really want to try these off an SUP or surfboard just past the surf line. What weight would you recommend for that? I’m assuming similar technique? Thanks! (Caught my first halibut on a 5/8 last week in an inlet. Way too heavy but the fish didn’t care. Got some
    1/4 now, can’t wait to try them!

      There's a few guys that do that and they love our baits for it. The 3/8 would be the best size to throw.

    Do you like doing the double hookup rig for calico like you do deep rock cod fishing? Can that be fished on top of water column?

    • @HookupBaits
      @HookupBaits  Před 5 lety

      Definitely can be very affective for bass. We used the double all the the for bass. Not recommended for top water fish like yellow tail and tuna

    • @HookupBaits
      @HookupBaits  Před 5 lety

      @@curtiswilson1526 for bass i like 2 5/8. Try 2, 3/8 if the fish are suspended. I dont recommend the double for Bonito. 1 5/8 is what you want for them. They love the mint one.

      @@nicolacko8507 when there's no. Current in the bay the entire bite slows. All you can do in that situation is down size and more finesse. Same technique tho

    • @HookupBaits
      @HookupBaits  Před 4 lety

      Dropper loop would work but you will be taking most of the magic out of the baits because you won't have the same sink
