  • The vastly underrated time period of Fleetwood Mac called "Kiln House." While Jeremy was experiencing self doubt, Danny was enjoying his new chapter with the band. Perhaps Jeremy didn't feel it at the time, but he and Danny were becoming a dynamic duo. Christine McVie's entry into the band filled the missing hole which led to her epic career.

Anyone who needs any proof of the band's power at this time need only check out the Purple Dancer segment in this medley. And although I agree that Danny was the key to that power, and that Jeremy was a congenial influence on him, I'd like to also pay credit to John & Christine. John plays his bass like a lead guitar, and with Christine banging away on the keyboards, you can hear four distinct musical lines blazing away on this cut.
How I wish Jeremy had stayed with FM. Alternatively, how I wish Danny had had a friend he could rely on and who could have buoyed him up as he dealt with the band's 1971 personnel changes.

Without Peter Green, they're an empty shell. They needed his guidance.
