Before watching this, I thought the only way to fix our issues was to start over. After watching this, I am happy to report that it doesn't seem too bad! Lol I am going to find the video to help me fix my errors so I can hopefully feel more confident in QB. THANK YOU so much for doing what you do. I am new to your community and I look forward to watching a lot more videos for help!

I know this is an old comment, but you didn't happen to find that video did ya? I kinda need it myself!!
Great info!! I work for a church and we use QB Desktop. I’m really still unfamiliar with it and learning as I go. They have several different checking accounts (example: general funds, missions acct, youth acct, etc). What I’m struggling with is that the youth account has a sub account within it for their youth band equipment. So some goes to ‘regular’ youth deposit and some are designated for ‘youth band’. How do I make sub accounts in QB?
Rachel, this video is about cc but I think it will help you understand sub accounts and reconciliations. canduskampfer.com/track-multiple-corporate-credit-card-accounts-in-quickbooks/
Help please! So I made a quick book account and been adding to it for over a year but realized it was all under our savings account both of them together. What do I do?

Erika,
Are you using QB for Mac or QB Online - cloud based?
If you have QB for Mac you'll need to restore your recent back up.

My situation is exactly 12:34!! How do i add a new bank account (but its actually not a new bank account)? Would i keep the "old account"? Wont that confuse the automatic update/download of the account data?

So, to confirm... ill actually be using the same bank account number for the "new" account, right? Im not in reality opening a real new account so i guess im having trouble seeing how this will not create double entries. Should i delete/edit the "old" account number in QB afterwards maybe?
I recently started working with QuickBooks for my brother-in-law’s business. The problem is, the lady who did it before has so many errors. If I start fresh what needs to be done? And if there are open invoices from end of last year , do I put those in the new?

I am adding invoices to my company file (for a rental company) and it puts it in my checkbook register and a debit, only in this company but not in my other, what did I do?
Hi Chris,
If they are separate QB files, the information keeps to it's own file.

You mean accounts payable showing payables but you paid before?
I deleted 100s of my transactions from last year 🤦🏽♀️ they were already reconciled. I’m afraid it’s too messed up to fix. Is there a quick way to undo my mistake ? I’ve started trying to balance them in the register and re-add them all. Thanks for your time !
Thank you for watching our videos 😊

Per QB's my QB's is corrupted beyond repair. Here is something I did today. I reconciled a credit card. Everything is reconciled including the charges that are going to be on my next statement. But when going into the Chart of Accounts it is at a negative balance. There is nothing outstanding left to check off. What happened?

I recently started working for a company and their bank account is messed up; I'm glad to hear that I can "open a new bank account". I think that I will do that beginning with June 1, 2020 and move forward - once I get everything entered and reconciled, is it possible to enter earlier transactions (e.g. those in May?) I don't think so, but I would like to know before I begin - thanks.

@@CandusKampfer ok thank you....Ryan said he doesn't have time for that he's to busy..... Doesn't that look silly? Don't refer to yourself as the 3rd person we know you're reading and answering your own comments
I'm sorry you think that. Candus does get on here and look at the comments and helps me answer many of the questions. However, this is actually her customer service employee, Ireland. Nice to meet ya 😊
