I concur with your assessment. I would also like to note the joyous and excited reactions of Andy’s interlocutors, upon the witnessing the expedited expiration of one farmers wife via a high speed blunt force impact of a common farmyard chicken. It should be known, the chicken appeared to be flying when impact of the farmers wife occurred. What was strange about the event was the chicken, which by this point was dead, seemed to begin to levitate and proceed with another high speed collision with said wife causing her demise. Curious, I didn’t think chickens could fly that well.

As someone who has extracted no small amount of DNA from brains (don't ask), I really have to point out that pretty much any other tissue is better suited for the task. BUT, seeing as the aliens are using the brain, I assume they have some kind of superior DNA-extracting technology...and if so...Could I have some?
If they'd stop destroying everything for half a second, you could probably make a pretty convincing offer to save their species by giving them DNA replication technology in exchange for their brain DNA-extraction tech.

i absolutely loved destroy all humans 1 and 2 as a kid, just for the mindless destruction and knob gags, and now that i'm an adult...i still love those things, but also really appreciate the old B movie parodies within it

Yep. The game franchise is a parody of old Alien movies and also pokes fun’s at the time period it takes place in... a lot. Also the Alien races are named after emotions like The Furons (Fury) and the Blisk (Bliss) while Furon names are all based off of Diseases, cryptosporidium is the scientific term for diarrhea, the invasion leader is Pox, they have a janitor named Gastro and the emperor is name Meningitis.
I loved this game so much as a kid, I hope they remaster 2 though, that was really fun in the 60's

I will always be happy hearing the Richard Horvitz, the VA for Zim is in these games. It just always seemed so perfect that Zim would one day become instead of an invader but just destroyer of worlds.
What I most commonly hear candyfloss being called, apart from just candyfloss, translates to probably the best thing you could call candyfloss: ghost breath.

If you're wondering how 1950s tech could stand up to alien tech, consider that War of the Worlds took place in 1897. By the 1950s, we had two World Wars under our belt and lots of neat new toys. In addition, we have homefield advantage. The aliens have to send troops in those flying saucers, which can only hold so much, and they have to travel a lot farther.
The fact nobody in the call clocked Orthopox's voice sound like Zim truly distresses me.

I loved this game when it came out for the OG xbox and Ps2. So keen to play it again.
Their roles on these are almost reversed from those of the Oxventures. In the Oxventures, Merilwen is the rational one, Corazon is the goofy one, and Prudence is the chaotic one. In the let's plays, Ellen is the goofy one, Andy is the chaotic one, and Jane is...also the chaotic one. Okay then.

Crypto is more towards anti-hero than a straight up villain like Agent 47 since he mainly actually tries to save his own species from extinction instead of just wiping us out just because
i remember an exploit from destroy all humans 2 when you have to yeet 3 cars into the ocean from the ship, aiming with the laser and suddenly activating the tractor beam (or was it the abductor) and it turns into a catapult that yeets anything miles away
ELLEEEN, you should play "kill it with fire" there's a free demo at steam.

Is it just me or are the Furons pretty much exactly the Asgardians from Stargate just Evil: from how they look, to their super-tech, to the genetic degradation due to cloning; maybe the Furons and Asgardians are like Romulans and Vulcans... hmmm...
The Asgard had dark relatives in Stargate who eventually out survived them. They also had somewhat less "genetic degradation", because they experimented on other species.

Need to load this and the 2nd one up and try playing again. Used to love these games. Got the Wii one last year, but the controls aren't nearly as good as they were on the playstation. =)

I'm glad the "50'000 DNA" trophy wasn't kept for the remake. You only needed half of that for all upgrades.
