He aged a lot during the original run of Arrested Development. Fox must have cancelled his aging when they cancelled the show and arrested his development if you will.
This looks like a movie my mom would rent from the library during one of her existential "I hate my family" weekends while my sister and I were on break from school and forced to sit with her, in working class poor apartments watching it in its entirety while just having finished hamburger helper for the 3rd night in a row.
At least you had a mom who wanted to spend time with you. At least you weren't homeless on & off, never knowing when it would happen or if you'd even still have the car. At least you had a mom who made you hamburger helper. Mine tried but wasn't as successful as yours. All families have dysfunction & drama. You were blessed with security.
@@ltownmoose I was born last century too but everyone kept saying 2010's last decade. Can't beat'em join em. Fr though you saying that is like correcting someone for saying the 1900's back in 1923.
that movie is NUTS- glad to see someone recommend it! definitely one of his best... he is also absolutely fantastic in nick and norah's infinite playlist... he's good in everything he does, haha
"You went away right after [enter dramatic event here]." -"Yeah." "And now you're back after being away for a long time." -"Yeah." "Are things ok?" -"Yeah" * But things weren't okay* *And we gonna explore why not for one hour and some 36 odd minutes*
Looks like something I may watch when like every other channel is not working, it's late at night and I need to sleep. Thanks. Already feel tired from watching the preview. Works better than melatonin! Awesome
Ok.. this is NOT the kind of movie I would normally watch.. BUT... It does look good for what it is.... and Michael Cera in a serious role?!! Hell yeah.. just for that.. count me in!! Looks like he does a great job!!
he can be a surprisingly serious guy. I was really surprised and intrigued when I watched his Hot Ones episode/interview- he seems pleasant enough but is actually quite serious and calm. There's a lot more to him than just the awkward nerdy lead guy typecast. He makes some pretty interesting music as well as having performed in several more dramatic roles in recent years
People talking like this movie doesn't know what it is. "Character that 'got out' from the small town comes back to the family they semi-abandoned after having lost it all and find what they were missing the whole time... Was Family." It's a trope because it's vague and relatable. If the acting and writing is good it will be enjoyable. When it's all bad you get Hallmark movies.
I remember being in elementary school and seeing Michael Cera ride past our school on his bicycle in Silver Lake CA this was like a year after superbad
idk why everyone has such a negative take on this, i really seriously want to watch this! i will def see it when it comes out and i love sophia lillis!!! micheal cera seems to be in a shifted role (if only slight) and i am very curious about this movie! just because it isnt stuffed with immense action and holds a more "slice of life" feeling does not mean it is inherently boring. thabks youtube😊😊😊😊
Saw it in february and loved it, Cera is amazing, all three are great though. And one of the better depictions of depression and mental health I've seen.
Movies like this is why we need hot celebrities. If even one of these people were hot I’d be interested but without a hot actress I couldn’t care less lol
MICHAEL CERA had a film where he and 2 friends were trying to produce a film on a low budget, and it had some very indie footage. Does anyone remember this or was it my delusion?
Even with facial-hair or lack thereof, Cera still looks exactly like he did in Superbad. He does NOT age.
He aged a lot during the original run of Arrested Development. Fox must have cancelled his aging when they cancelled the show and arrested his development if you will.
Michael Cera, never get arrested. Your mugshot will be Paul Rubensesque
Don't forget his voice too, which you can hear in The LEGO Batman Movie, where he voiced Robin, doing my man Scott Menville some justice.
WOW that 2:27 felt like a whole movie, I think I'm good.
Its got that energy of those indie movies from 2008-2011, I'm a sucker for it I'm definitely going to watch it
they all suck
I'd go back a bit further, even. . .working with that Family Stone meets Garden State energy. . . I can't believe I'm 40.

This looks like a parody of every indie movie ever made.
Damn
Every indie movie is a parody of every indie movie
It's perhaps the most normal looking movie trailer I've seen in 37 years.
Not enough blacks though, and it needs more transgenders.
Nah Pulp Fiction is an indie movie, you’re talking about modern indie movies
Looks like they shot it with an iPhone 8 Plus
Looks like something to fall asleep to.
This. You have delivered the single best review I'm likely to see here.

Everything michael cera does makes you want to fall asleep
Yea needs more Infinity Stones!!!

We gave Michael all of this time just to come back with this lullaby
He got taller
@@bloodeagle6458 lol
One of his best performances probably, the best i've seen from him.

Sorry
Lmao this some depressing shit bro
Wow, sounds like one of these indie movies
Tell the truth - you miss it, don't you? And if by chance you don't, you will when she's gone.

seeing michael in movies again is awesome
michael cera looks like a bobs burgers character
This looks so real it hurts, and Michael Cera has chops! Definitely will see!
This looks like a film micheal cera would watch.
It's like Michael Cera wrote every single line and then casted himself in all three parts.
1:38 not a line in the movie he's just telling the truth
They used to make so many of these types of movies in the 2000's.
Juno. And oh, he was in it too. Lol
My dude... it's still the 2000's. I get it. But... being born last century I felt compelled to say something unwanted haha

superbad was such a good movie. i miss those times

also Garden State vibes
Adventureland was AMAZING

Cera is adorable in everything he does....
I'm excited. I'm glad Michael Cera is making a comeback!
Michael is a great actor. Ever seen him in a horror? Try watching "Magic Magic". He's terrifying! Can't wait to see this film.
Gonna have to watch that this weekend! I have not seen it!

it's gonna be a good background movie...like...when you're doing chores or have a nice conversation with someone and need noise to fill the space.
And you always Start on the part you left off but never finish
😂😂
naw, that's like every Marvel movie.
Nice to see Michael Cera finally turned 18

Cera is always great.
Michael Cera is still rocking the movie scene!
I love Michael Cera
Man Michael Cera is really having a Renaissance lately
I'm so here for it
Renaissance? What else is he in other than this and barbie?
He’s also in Amy Schumers show on Disney+, Life & Beth
@@em2strange does he have a bigger role? In the Barbie movie he barely had any lines, was kind of disappointed.

The indie movie trailer dance scene! I’m in
I watched the prequel - ‘Staring at the corner of my living room’
Nice to see Michael Cera doing the Columbo method of acting (a guy who wears the same coat all the time)
I wouldn't be surprised if Michael Cera wins an Oscar someday. Great actor.
couldnt even finish watching 30 seconds of this trailer
They should splice the movie during the bowling alley scene, and just cut to “Way to go Donnie!”
cera is always cera

The best movie I've seen all year. Respect !!!
Looks at title, looks at thumnail..
Nah, still not convinced.
Michael Cera referenced only the most hip pedophiles for his costume...
😂
All these years Michael Cera looked like he was 15 years old. Now he looks like he's 16 years old in this film.

Ahhhhh So down for this!
I loved him in Nick & Norah. This looks good. 🥰✌🏻

It’s just good to see Micheal cera
Great. Another Cera movie that makes me think
This movie looks like it has a $500 budget and $400 went to Cera.
Lmao this had me dying. They picked cast members up as they went along.
This looks like every indie movie ever, but I'll still check it out
Michael Cera with facial hair 😮😮😮 I’m. Not. Ready!! What is he like 18? 19 now?!

Michael Cera doing a Tony Soprano impression (quite well, honestly) sent me here.

yes
The only thing that could have made this more of an Indie Movie trailer would have been Solsbury Hill playing.
Anyone who likes Michael should watch Gregory Go Boom.

I don't watch movies in which civilians lightheartedly dance. I have a rule about that.
