Hello Dr. P, has any of the advice regarding getting a second booster during pregnancy changed as of July 2022 since this latest BA 5 surge (with 2.75 looming)? I an 22 weeks pregnant. Received my booster two months before I became pregnant. Not sure if I should get the second booster at all, and/or whether I should wait to get the bivariant vaccine in November (I’m due Dec 1st). No immune issues. Many thanks!

Thank you so much for this information it gave me some piece of mind and caused me not to literally freak out , I'm 32 weeks pregnant day 5 with COVID and my 3rd day taking the antiviral .. the only symptom I've had is waking up bitter taste in my mouth . Hopefully more data comes out soon
Hey did you ever get a rebound ?? After finishing the doses , did you start feeling Covid symptoms again after a few days of being done ?
I've been prescription paxlovid but I'm ready hesitant to take it. I'm 31 weeks pregnant and worried it might harm my baby
Same! I'm 35 weeks and I'm very weary of starting this medication. I can't find any reviews from actual pregnant women who have taken it. I actually feel better with each day so I may just decide not to take it.

I opted to not take it. I recovered ok

I’m so scared to take this medication because I’ve seen theres not much research about this still…. How long did it take you to recover ?🥺

The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential.

The duty and responsibility for ascertaining the quality of the consent rests upon each individual who initiates, directs or engages in the experiment. It is a personal duty and responsibility which may not be delegated to another with impunity.
The experiment should be such as to yield fruitful results for the good of society, unprocurable by other methods or means of study, and not random and unnecessary in nature.
The experiment should be so designed and based on the results of animal experimentation and a knowledge of the natural history of the disease or other problem under study, that the anticipated results will justify the performance of the experiment.
The experiment should be so conducted as to avoid all unnecessary physical and mental suffering and injury.
No experiment should be conducted, where there is an a priori reason to believe that death or disabling injury will occur; except, perhaps, in those experiments where the experimental physicians also serve as subjects.

Proper preparations should be made and adequate facilities provided to protect the experimental subject against even remote possibilities of injury, disability, or death.
The experiment should be conducted only by scientifically qualified persons. The highest degree of skill and care should be required through all stages of the experiment of those who conduct or engage in the experiment.
During the course of the experiment, the human subject should be at liberty to bring the experiment to an end, if he has reached the physical or mental state, where continuation of the experiment seemed to him to be impossible.
During the course of the experiment, the scientist in charge must be prepared to terminate the experiment at any stage, if he has probable cause to believe, in the exercise of the good faith, superior skill and careful judgement required of him, that a continuation of the experiment is likely to result in injury, disability, or death to the experimental subject.
