"I played for Hajduk and some other, small clubs" - Alen Bokšić, legend HŽV 1950. Anyway he is a great man, great person. I was working in Makarska on building where he live. As me and colleague worked he came out of building to ask us are we tired, do we need anything for drink or eat. After we said no he sit with us for about 15min and talked like we know each other for years. I was fascinated with his personality and attitude considering who is he. Such a normal guy and such a football legend. Hats down for Alen.
Kad sam tu njegovu izjavu pročitao umro sam od smijeha i još više mi je porastao u očima, mada smatram da je Hajduk kao i Dinamo dno od kluba, bez zamjerki. Al ono izjava u stilu Samuel Et'o-a "Samo je jedna Mallorca u srcu sve je ostalo odrađivanje posla." Dan danas ga smatram našim najboljim napadačem po talentu (uz sve dužno poštovanje prema Šukeru), al ozljede ga ubile, njaveća prepreka u profesionalnom sport i uspjehu. Čitam neki dan razgovor Bobe Vieri-ja i del Piera, kažu na treningu se nije oznojio nikad, svi krepani, on ni kapi znoja, životinja u ljudskom tijelu a isklesan kao grčki Bog. Nije ni čudo da su ga Lazijevi tifosi od milja prozvali mali Neron, jer samo su on i Neron mogli tako istodobno zapaliti Rim i uništiti svoje protivnike. Jebeni Boka.

Alen was such a beast! I had the pleasure to watch his goals with Lazio live at the Olimpic stadium when I was a kid. I still remember his lob against Sampdoria where Ferron, the goal keeper, clapped at his goal👏
Klasni ''razarač'' protivničkih odbrana, neverovatan balans fizičke snage, tehnike, fudbalske inteligencije. Imao sam sreću da ga gledam uživo u finalu Kupa maršala Tita , 1991.god. u Beogradu, kada je igrajući za Hajduk iz Splita, naprosto demolirao odbranu moje Zvezde. Strašan igrač je bio!

This guy was another T800 with awesome technic ..just remember their national team..it's a blast.
Only Weah and Ginola ever gave me the same feeling as Boksic, the 3 of them were the most spectacular players I've ever seen, yet inefficient. Luckily Ginola and Weah became efficient later on in their careers.

He was my heroe as kid. Nobody was that strong, fast and technician with a ball, except el uniquo Ronaldo. Bokšić was a monster and when i see how much cost modern players like Werner, Costa, Rashford etc. i just don't understand.

Thanks for the video! It's just great! I was born in 1980 and I still think Boksic is the greatest talent I've seen playing. The thing is that scoring goals was not his best quality. Dribbling 3 opponents in a single action was. Maybe a video on his dribbling and assist skills?

unfortunately he was injured at EC1996 and WC 1998 and couldn't play for Croatia. 1990 in Italy he was the youngest member of the yugoslav team and also didn't play. Only 2002 in Japan and Corea , 32 years old he played a tournament for Croatia, but at this moment the team wasn't so strong. For the tournements EC 1992 and WC 1994 Croatia couldn't take part in Qualifications

Boro fan here… Boksic was a beautiful footballer. His movements were slick and finished early with both feet. I think he’s my fave player from that era, despite the injuries.
