      Milwaukee would still destroy dewalt

      @ChristianJames559 nah the 961 is a huge impact all they did was put a 1/2 inch anvil on 3/4 inch tool. Milwaukees 2967 is way smaller and destroys dewalts new dcf900 the 961 broke nuts torqued to 2500 ft lbs and milwaukees 2967 broke nuts torqued to 2400 ft lbs the dcf900 was only 1600 ft lbs I'd take the lighter m18 way b4 the heavy clunky 961 that only has a 3 year wattrranty on it and only 100 ft lbs more dewalt is a joke these days. Dewalt definitely didn't pass milwaukee in impact drivers milwaukees gen 4 destroys dewalts

    • @markk3948
      @markk3948 Před 3 měsíci

      @ChristianJames559 not high torque if you don't care about size then lets compare to milwaukees best the 1 inch tis a beast. Milwaukee makes more powerful tools at a fraction of the size that's just amazing.

    Just retired after 43 years of being an auto-mechanic. Have had many different brands of tools! To compare Milwaukee and DeWalt. As far as strength, torque, and build Milwaukee works great, till it don’t! My coworkers and I have gone through many different brands and have come to the same conclusion. Longevity we give to DeWalt, but both are very good brands.

  • @ProToolsApproved
    @ProToolsApproved Před 3 měsíci +15

    I have both, been using them equally over the last several months. I'll take the dewalt all day long for typical work. If i've got bigger harder fasteners to drive or need the extra power, i'll grab the milwaukee. The ergonomics and trigger sensitivity of the dewalt far out performance of the milwaukee. When i'm comfortable i'm more efficient.

    I've got the m18 Gen 4 kit and the m12 kit. I don't hardly ever use the m18. Crazy how good the m12 is. Lighter and easier to drag around. I'm sure the Dewalt tools are great too. Can't go wrong with either one. I'm just so invested in the Milwaukee batteries and chargers it makes no sense for me to even start with Dewalt.

    I've got both- Milwaukee at work and DeWalt at home. I find the Milwaukee more powerful for sure but it's not as comfortable in the hand. I also like the speed variability and trigger sensitivity of the DeWalt.
    As a result, I tend to enjoy using the DeWalt for longer periods of time. But for raw power or use of less than a couple hours the Milwaukee is better choice for me.

    you know that there is a specific Dewalt youtuber model out. DCF860. Would be perfect for these controlled indoor tests that have nothing to do with real world work. No one ever tests the tools for the work they are designed to do. Lets see you use the tools in bad weather. see how they perform after a days work out in the rain.. You know, something realworld.

  • @xxxx-fl5be

    I’m afraid you’re wrong - DCF845 is not a „flagship” model.

  • @georgedavall9449
    @georgedavall9449 Před 3 měsíci +1

    Ya know I LUV You guys, but these tests, while really pushing the tools to their limits, are bordering on the usual unreasonableness of a lot of CZcams channels! Driving huge fasteners that normally require impact wrenches, or trying to break loose nuts that are torqued to 1000 Lb. Ft. Sheesh! It might have served you better, and the viewers, to see how both of these handled more routine, day to day fastening tasks. Maybe The way You use to do the ‘Test Track’ by driving different fasteners, one after the other? It might show how maybe the DeWalt has more control, despite less power, and Vice Versa? The ability to have control and ease of putting in regular drywall and SPAX and GRK screws, as well as really small screws, can be more useful than sheer power, IMO. Still, this just validates the M18 Impact as being just about the toughest driver out there. The DCF845 is nice, albeit a little disappointing. Of course, YMMV. 👍✌💪🇺🇸😊

      @@Protoolreviews You’re Welcome PTR! Thanks for taking my comment as it was intended! Sure, running in huge fasteners or pushing these tools to the extremes, will show up any weaknesses in said tools. But by testing these impact drivers on a more reasonable and practical scale, can be more beneficial to most. I really liked the ‘race track’ You fellas did with the drill/ drivers. Just my opinion. Thanks for your comment and consideration and professionalism !!!!!!!!!!!! 👍

    • @craig221
      @craig221 Před 3 měsíci +1

      If you're drilling with spade bits bits you obviously want to you a impact driver. Tf

    • @georgedavall9449
      @georgedavall9449 Před 3 měsíci +1

      Craig (below ) may have a point, but with hex shank drill bits in an impact, they tend to spin in wider arcs at the start, due to the collet. It is really silly to not use a regular drill / driver with smooth shank jobber bits when drilling, as the chuck holds them secure and straight. If the chuck has minimal run out, the hole gets drilled accurately. Now for driving really large screws or possibly certain auger bits, the impact can have the advantage. Bottom line, best to use both a drill and an impact together. They each have their purpose. I’ve used corded and cordless drills and impacts for 25 years or so. Installed thousands of cabinets. YMMV. ✌

      Totally get what you are saying about the down sides of using impacts. Valid point. Though impacts just seem like they are more fun to use and work smoother than drills. There is a lot of hate for impacts, the argument being that they for a lesser skilled tradesman. Maybe that is true.
      It seems like it is just an issue of preference.

  • @fahs
    @fahs Před 3 měsíci

    DeWalt seems to have a weaker casing. Milwaukee batteries seem longer to charge. DeWalt has better ergonomics. Milwaukee has more power. Milwaukee's yard tool line is better, but way more expensive. Milwaukee has better stuff for plumbers, but Dewalt has better stuff for electricians.
    It seems like choosing between the two brands is a win-win though. Both lines are pretty good.

      Milwaukee repair histories not looking good. Remember when DeWalt started to slip because of mass production low quality control? That's where Milwaukee is now. DeWalt has learned from it and has upped their game.
