are you tired with the last sonics game. well this is a cool mix between retro retro sonic games and new stuffs all in 2d side plataforming.
some music are from another games like megaman x4, rival school, star gladiator, but is only a reference music.
we draw all that stages and skills, because, we think thata a good sonic game, can be drawing in 2d.

Jarbloko I started to create a Sonic fan game in RPG maker 2003 which have the logic of Sonic Beyond about the skills.It will be like this:Some characters you will learn skills by helping them in some quests or in other cases you will need to defeat someone in a battle.And it will be like this:Sonic will have speed type characters like allies,Tails will have fly type characters and Knuckles Power type characters.And will be characters from games,comics and TV shows.Sonic will face Sonic 1 and Sonic CD levels, Tails will face Sonic 2 levels and Knuckles will face Sonic 3&K levels.And finally the stories will have sub-campaigns with extra characters.It will be like this:Shadow will face 3 levels from Sonic 1 8 bits,2 levels from Sonic Adventure 2 and 2 levels from Sonic Heroes,Blaze will have all the Sonic Pocket Adventure levels except Sky Chase and the final level and Scourge from Archie Comics will face Sonic Chaos levels.Oh,and Blaze will face Crisis City from Sonic 06 too.All this characters will appear in sub-campaigns with parallel from Sonic Story and some of them will appear in Sonic's Story like allies and two of them you will need to fight them(Shadow and Scourge).Tails will have 2 characters with sub-campaigns:Silver the Hedgehog and Gemerl.And both of them will face some Sonic 2 8 Bits levels and Sonic Triple Trouble levels.Silver will face the levels which have water:Sky High Zone,Aqua Lake Zone and Green Hills Zone,and the 2 water levels from Sonic Triple Trouble.Gemerl will face the non-water ones.They will appear in the final levels from Tails Story.Silver will fight Tails and Gemerl will need a help with a quest. In Knuckles Story, he will have 2 sub-campaigns:Julie-Su and E-123 Omega. Julie-Su will have 2 levels from Sonic Crackers, and 3 levels from Sonic Adventure 1.Omega will face the competition mode stages and 1 from Sonic Crackers.Julie-Su will need help for a quest and Omega will challenge you in a battle. Both of them will appear in the final levels.

This brings back so many memories from middle school... I still wish I had the skill with Game Maker to make this game.
I'm loving the creativity that's gone into the boss design. Especially the palm tree in the first zone. Amazing work!

yea, thats the point, like due megaman 9, this is a kind of sonic 4, maybe we dont show in images, but this fan game, gets all the retro stuff, like badniks, special stages in a giant ring, bonus stages in chekpoints, egg-panels in the end of each act, and somethings like that.
It's just this kind of fan-built game for sonic that really gives me that feeling when I play older sonic games. It looks amazing, and the music choices and skill system is awesome. I hope I can play this at one point.

but for now, i close the project to focus in other things, (3 months drawing are tired) but if you wanna make anything by you way connected whit this project is fine, is prety cool.
This addresses a lot of problems Sonic games have always had, chiefly the fact that the stages have always been recycled, or that you've just played through virtually the same game as Sonic when you played as Tails or Knuckles.
And this continued into the 3D games, and worse on Sonic Heroes when everyone played the exact same way.
THIS IS WHAT SONIC CHARACTERS SHOULD BE USED FOR THANK YOU FOR PUTTING IT IN YOUR GAME AND PLZ SEND IT TO SEGA

For those wondering, the music used in Solar Ruin is the title screen music from The Way of the Exploding Fist, except... altered.

I say before, is only a kind of fan sonic game, for now we dont have time, we so busy.
All the ideas in this game are simply awesome. I read that the main idea is that Sonic Tails and Knuckles would take on Eggman in three diferent ocasions. The design is great even for a 2D game (like good old Sonic style), the zones are amazing and the skills are a well thought idea, makes a Sonic take another step in evolution and entertainment. Sonic rules!!!
Super Eyepatch Wolf's new video on fake video games reminded me of this. Crazy how I thought this was real as a kid 😂

I think it is time for this fangame to be made. It has been a long time and it is possible to do it.
I do agree that the Werehog was an unnecessary gimmick that really brought the game down, but the redeeming qualities of the game are absolutely fantastic; to say the least, it was a step in the right direction for SEGA.
To be specific, the day stages (360/PS3) have wonderful, complex level designs built for fast speed platforming. There may be sections of linearity and of only running, but that just takes improvement on SEGA's part.
Finally, the graphics, they nailed it. Absolutely perfect.

this is PRETTY DAMN GOOD!! if only this existed. the final boss robotnik with the ? and the evil laugh was pure win.
jejeje, thanks for you interest, but we dont make (draw) the final boss jet, maybe in the future, we upload, a video whit all the restant things, the robotnik mondo zone, looks like, the special stages for each characters and some easter egg and specials for the future. :D
Awesome work on the "screenshots!" I particularly like the stage intro screens, as well, and the font used with them is really neat.
Too bad something like this will probably never exist...officially.
Someone should make a fan-game based on this. Admit it that this game is too cool for a game!
I really hope sega pick this up in the future this has tones of potential I remember watching this when I was 8-9

I really want to do, but is hard, we are just a desesperade fans, like much of sonic fans, that makes a "concept" for a sonic game.
Sega never look back, and make a retro kind game, they going and going whit 3d sonics, anyway, we are only drawers, we are not programers.

The bad guy at the end, is suppost to be Robotnik with the power of 7 emeralds, something never seen before in any sonic game.
Oh, and that Robotnik Mondo... I recognize the physique!

Seriously severe, I am speechless. This is the type of game Sega SHOULD be doing. The images are amazing, I can't imagine what they'd look like in HD... just think, this type of game in HD on XBLA or PSN... that would be amazing.

Gosh, this is just GREAT, that was a GREAT JOB with the making of this "game-to-be-made". Wish Sega would create a game with those ideas, been a while since I last saw a classic Sonic game like that coming out. Great job!
If this became a game, it'd be awesome to have an option to switch between the Classic Sonic style and the New Sonic style.

yea, equal, like much of you, i wanna see this project completed or less a beta version, but i wanna that this game, will be make by Sega or something publicher, for wii ware, more than a fan game. if this video grows the popularity, who knows, maybe sega turn here and make a game.
I think people should come out with the Fan made games and put it on the DLC on the PS3. XBOX 360, and Wii. People would love to play those games.

well, the idea, is that the superforms gonna be totally playable, like the classic titles, and obiusly a bonus stage is in each stage.
This would be so cool if someone did this. Hell, I feel motivated how start making games of my own just so I can help make this happen. If Sega were to make games similar to this for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and Wii Virtual Console, I'd willingly pay the money.

ou yea, when the 3d smash sonic, all change for ever, the bosses, the stages, theres no more act 1,2,3 or special stages, theres no more, bonus in chekpoints, and super sonic playable in normal stages, all that was changed, and that is the idea whit this fan concept, bring back again, all the cool stuff from the genesis era. :D

I could make a inspired Sonic Fangame but make Tails as a playable character with an interesting use of the Helicopter and other abilities. Maybe a what if Sonic was never Born au. I do really hope someone makes this though maybe in the future.

Title Screen is epic. I love the idea of this project. It would be sweet to see all of this turn out the right way - you guys should see if you can use the Sonic 2 HD engine or something. This would be the perfect way to put it to the test.

As a 30yr old, I was gaming when Sonic originally came round. This vid is an excellent mix of old and new! Especially love the Robitnick level boss designs-all built around that simple spherical hover car thing like they used to be! Good job guys! :-D

Sonic and Knuckles, is more like sonic the hedgehog 3 1/2., is like megaman and bass, (megaman 8 1/2).why?, well, sonic and knuckles, in the begining, was a sonic 3 part, but for time, they, decides to create sonic and knuckles.
i dont wanna mix this, with the sonic 06, is not a cool pre-descesor.

Not Dr. Eggman was always his name. It was his Japan's given name, but the U.S. Decided to give him the name Dr. Robotnik instead, that was back then. But they later changed the name to Eggman.
But still, I grew up calling him Dr. Robotnik, that name fits better.
Yea, thats the idea, but for now, we'r busy, you know, exams and all that, so, if we start make something, wonna be the next year :D

Some of the zones and Robotnik bosses are too similar to ones already existing... but the concept art is really well done. I like the maze level and the disco!
