The tornado was aware it was on a golf course so it kept the volume down to not disturb any approach shots. They missed thd golden opportunity to tee up a ball and drive it into a tornado, a once on a lifetime opportunity.
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe get a hole in one!
😂
😂😂😂😂
Hahahahaha.
😂 Amen
Well, at least now I know that I'm not the stupidest MF'er on the planet.
2nd stupidest! Good job pal 👌
I thought his bravery paid off because that was some amazing and steady footage of something we all would freak out and run from.
Not even close, friend (: lmfao
😂😂😂
Trust me, that man takes first place. 🤦♀️
How did they not drive balls at a tornado? Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.
😂💯
My thoughts exactly
You wouldn’t get those balls back
EXACTLY!!!😂😂😂
That would take balls of steel
Nice that they let it play through...
I'm laughing so hard at this comment 🤣🤣🤣
I'm assuming they were smart enough to finally run
Very courteous...and stupid.

Bankers taking a risk. Run away Run away!!
News reporters live. -“ we have reports of golf ball sized hail coming from this storm…oh wait, it is actual golf balls coming down.”
What's strange about these golf balls. They're orange & pink.
🤣😭🤣
Funny enough, they often play with hail-sized golf balls
This is the best and most underrated comment of all I've seen on here! Love it!
😂😂😂😂🌪️🌨️⛳️🏌🏽
Always remember, if the funnel is not moving left or right, it's COMING RIGHT AT YOU!
Or away?
Did it seem to you that it was turning towards them when they were moving, like it was homing in on them? That's weird.
@riboflavinfolate3964 , the tornado thought the idiots were mocking it and decided to teach them a lesson.
Thank you Captain Obvious for that mind-blowing revelation!! 🤦♂️
Or could be sitting still or could be moving away. It doesn't necessarily mean it's moving right at you.
I like how the thumbnail shows him photobombing the tornado like its just some harmless wind.
Uuuh, yeah... that's the entire point.
@@-108- uuuh yeah. That's why I like it.
@@shadowfax9177 Uuuh, yeah... We all figured that out because you said it in plain English.

@@-108- then what's with your useless comment?
You have to hope a sibling tornado doesn’t smack you from a different direction while you’re watching the show-off.
Yep that's the bad part the spider legs that spawn off of momma tornado.
There is no siren so we must be okay. You're up!
I was thinking that lol.
Yep and that logic is why we have to have obvious warning labels on products/materials. Can you imagine how many people would eat plastic bags because “it didn’t say not to!”. I know that number is higher than you and I could ever guess.
Nervous golfer, " Is it coming right at us ?! " 😂 Cameraman , " Were fine , were in a golf cart " 😂

“We’re fine. I’m the cameraman.”
Famous last words.
Of course the cameraman's not nervous.
Every man’s life-long fantasy and he films it in portrait!
The people have forgotten the lost art of landscape mode
On my phone it's more of a 3:4 ratio. And if it is, the original footage IS landscape, it's just CZcams cropping it for a short. You can see the full landscape thumbnail when you swipe to lower the video.
Tornado 🌪️ be like, "Yeah, I'm going to just pass through here, you guys just keep playing your little game."
😂
I thought it was fake click bait. I'm glad I wasn't let down, great video.
Great footage that was actually one of the most peaceful tornados ive seen on the internet that thing was freaking dope I liked how it was just moving across the woods like a gentle giant swooping all the rain off the trees
I mean it wasn’t very peaceful for anything in those woods lol
@@williamnovis3507yeah as peaceful as weaponized cloud seeders working for secret government agencies...that giant kills everything it touches make no mistake
It didn’t fully touch down till the end..
Right?
Forget the hail or the wind … just be careful Reed Timmer doesn’t speed past your yelling, “HEAR THE ROAR!!!”
Haha DAE Reed Timmer bad? Updoots to the left ⬅️😎 - some derivative of this comment on every video with a tornado in it on CZcams

Reed would have dominated that tornado.
Cameraman never dies. And no one holding a metal rod in an open field during dangerous weather will be struck by lightning.
They grab one irons, not even God can hit one
Oklahoma is like, “That’s not a tornado.”
Correct. I’m a caddie at Big Cedar. It flipped over a golf cart, nothing more.
We wouldn't even stop a little league game for that.
@@shanevinson845 You can see trees toppling 🤣🤣

On a golf cart. Now that's preppy!
Reports indicate immediately after teeing off the golfer's hook was so impressive, it produced cross winds causing a tornado to form. The golfer was later seen in the pro shop signing autographs and planning his book tour with The Weather Channel's Jim Cantore. In other news....
…..Miasma is REAL 😲😃

From AP:
"The National Weather Service rated a tornado that hit the Payne’s Valley Golf Course near Hollister on Monday.
The EF0 storm hit shortly before 4 p.m. southeast of Hollister. It had winds of 70 miles per hour and traveled nearly two miles."
So they could have literally stood directly in it and not been harmed other than possible small debris.
@@brandonl2175 they could have still been harmed, it's difficult to say. tornado ratings are often inaccurate and rated by the damage done. a tornado with ef5 strength could be rated much lower if it touched down and traveled through a barren field instead of a city. but the more important thing to note is they had no idea if the tornado could suddenly strengthen; they risked their lives, but i'm glad they were ok.
after some research, multiple weak ef0 and ef1 tornadoes have still killed people unfortunately - check out the video "deadliest weak tornadoes".
@@garden_creature oh yes, that's right! I actually learned that pretty recently and was surprised, I believe one of the recent highest recorded wind speeds tornado was rated an EF0 or EF1 because it was in the middle of nowhere and caused no actual damage. Had it hit a town I imagine it could have been an EF5 based on the record wind speeds. I think we need a new or modified scale! Lol
@@brandonl2175 The issue with that is how do you properly rate a tornado that produces no damage outside of ground scouring/broken branches? It becomes unreliable and unscientific guess work. They would have to install millions of wind measuring meters in all the right places. Ground scouring itself is not a reliable indicator of strength either as ground layers vary greatly, especially with moisture.
“Watch out for debris !” As a leaf flys by 😂 great video lol

I heard about golfers who play in any weather, but this is ridiculous.
Longest drive of his life. 3,000 yards off the tee with a 7 wood.
Best thumbnail on CZcams
I can only hope people would start taking tornadoes more seriously instead of acting like it's a joke. Sending the wrong message to those out there that might be impacted by a more severe tornado and weather. Having experienced an EF-1 tornado that destroyed large part of our farm in '96 when i was a kid, I've seen the destruction they can cause even when in less potent form.
If you play the wind right, you could hit a 600 yard drive.
Why cut the video off!! Wtf
one in a million picture shot
Somewhere in that time space was definitely a shot opportunity where the tornado spits it back out for a hole in one
That thing was moving pretty fast!
You thought that was fast?
@@salvadorricardojimenez5401 for a tornado yeah

Yeah, that was NOT safely. Buncha goofs
@@elessartelcontar9415What was so dangerous about it? I want to hear this as it was a small tornado. All you do is just stay out of its path. The best tornado is a tornado you can keep an eye on.
How can they stay so calm? That thing can change direction, intensity and travelling speed at anymoment.
**Tornado comes closer**
Golfer 1: Should we go that way?
**Golfers don't move**
Carl Spackler: I don't think the rough stuff is gonna come in for awhile!

If you don't see a twister moving, then that means it's coming right at you. Please rember that.
Omg its like being there in the scene and thee closest i have consciously been to a twister(from midwest, only seen em from afar) This is some of the best storm video ever.
Great view of the base and how it seems to expand and contract. As good as any chaser.
That thing was a comin' to get'chall or maybe it just wanted to shoot some holes🙂🙃
How odd! I guess I just always assumed that tornadoes formed on flat terrain, yet there's definitely some relief in that topography. Learn something new every day!
We get weak ones up in the foothills and even the mountains here in CO
Tornadoes can form anywhere. Doesn't have to be in the middle of nowhere, either, they can go through cities.
Although more rare, there have been tornadoes recorded at high elevations. I’m talking thousands of feet above sea level.
If you would have drove the ball to the right side of the tornado it would have slung the ball right onto the green.

PSA time: Tornadoes can often be larger than they look because the winds don't just suddenly stop where the condensation funnel ends. There can still be destructive winds further out than that which you cannot see. So don't get as close as these guys did, because that tornado that looks like it's about to pass 100 yards off to your right might actually be about to directly hit you.
Still better than any day of work
That's some incredible footage!
The Country Club rules at this place clearly states: When lightning has been detected, a siren will be administered and you must stop play and go to a designated shelter or the clubhouse, but if a tornado has been located on the course, a siren will not be issued and you must continue play, or the ranger will move you on to keep your time adequate.
Actually some of the best tornado footage I think I have ever seen.
Beautiful golf course, area
Fun fact, if the tornado looks like it's not moving.... It's coming straight at you
The 11:00 o’clock news: And our next story, phone from golfers killed in tornado shows their horrifying final moments . . .

If he stands there much longer he’s going to be saying, “bye mom”.
Coolest miniature golf course obstacle ever!
I love how the birds react- Flying right into it and soaring !!
Are you sure they flew into it? They probably got sucked into it. Anything light enough & close enough will get sucked in.
honestly one of the prettiest tornadoes I've ever seen, it's damn majestic
That thumbnail is legendary
I can imagine how the person who filmed this tornado felt 🌪!
People like this is why we have warning for EVERYTHING and still people feel they are invincible until they’re NOT.
This is the most peaceful tornado video I ever seen
This took place one valley over from where I live and Menards home improvement is just a mile or 2 down tge road on the opposite side of the golf course . crazy !
I wouldn't be standing there on foot watching a tornado approach, but at least we get to watch this neat footage from the couch.
This video shoulda went VIRAL💯
Why did they stop rolling???????
Damn tornado looked like it was reacting to their movement for moment; like it was homing in on them. I've heard of "tornado chasers" but not a chasing tornado.
🤣😂🤣😂 Always wondered what a typical day in tornado alley was like! Oh look its just another tornado passing by! 😆 I would of been terrified but they seem so used to it, like its just another day for them!
Rule of thumb: If the tornado looks like it's stationary, chances are it's coming right at you. 👍
I might have teed one up into the storm. Now that’s an added twist, hitting a ball into a twister. Assuming I don’t shank it, like usual.
I love how golfers put their cute little Easter colored outfits on for their dates with the boys
"If I die, whatever, at least I'll live on longer through the eyes of youtube."
They seem like the type to try and finish the hole.
Best tornado video IMHO
These mofo are lucky. People needs to know that not all tornadoes only have 1 vortex.
That tornado is like "am I a joke to you"
the camera man never dies
🌽🌽🌽
That storm was a strange one.
It was completely solitary and no other activity developed anywhere near it that evening.
Technically this is a land spout that forms from the ground up to the overhead cloud base. That’s why there are no sirens because there wasn’t a severe rotating thunderstorm . They have winds around 70mph and are short lived.
The tornado came to play golf 🌪 Great video 👍👍
If a tornadoes close enough it shares a common similarity of coming in contact with a black hole. It doesn't seem as close as it looks at first untilits too late. In reality if a tornadoes looks slow heading your direction there's no point of trying to out run it. These guys had perfect timing. Glad the made it out
That’s like an EF 0-1 tornado when it gets closer to the golfer
EF 0 and EF 1 can still be a problem. We had a cluster here a few years ago and a lot of trees looked like broken matchsticks.
Is this in au-"gust" -a?
No
What shot do you think they hit? A stinger to avoid lift?
That "hi Mom" was hilarious
You're Brave with 20 ton balls, but you got an excellent shot of that tornado!
Where exactly are you going to take cover ?
Behind the giant rock of course.
That was 1 in a. Billion.. perfect observation point..freaking wow..glad you're all safe..even mom..😊
Elderly gent: hi mom
Tornado: tell her in person in a sec
It's always been common knowledge that if a storm is coming, you get OFF the golf course or the beach.
I always thought any fool would know that. I guess not ANY fool, after all.⛈️👀
Yup, lightning strikes, anyone?😉
You sound mad at someone else's free will.
@@Steve-fx2fbmaybe he's mad they weren't struck by lightning.🤔
These guy's wanted to get struck by lighting, take selfies with the tornado and win a Darwin Award. Will make for a great story at the hospital.
You think they are going hospital let alone telling stories? There dead the moment that hit them.
Should you take the wedge for a Wedge Tornado or the 7 iron? :P
That is NOT worth taking a laughing picture. Tornadoes are no joke.
And it's obvious you absolutely know nothing about tornadoes and it shows. I guess you have been watching too many CZcams videos of false information about tornadoes because there was nothing dangerous about this particular tornado. Those are the facts! The best type of tornado is a tornado you can observe.
If there was ever a good time to call off a game due to bad weather, this was probably it.
