Your children amaze me. They fear little to nothing at all. They are unplugged children, doing what children have done for years before technology: digging, planting, scavenger hunting, metal detecting, creating, learning, playing, enjoying the world God created for us. What a beautiful thing to watch. Happy Sunday to you all! Love hearing the thunder! Sending love and blessings! 🐈‍⬛🦎🐛🪳🌞🌂

With such a termite tree issue near your home, only a suggestion, consider treating the ground around your home for termites. From tree removal of their home, they'll move into your homes fresh wood you've installed.

Tell the people that complain to not watch the videos! I enjoy watching, like today Doug cut down a rotted tree and then the whole family dove in and enjoyed the tree and bugs. I love watching your children because they enjoy the space around them and are not doing the weird dances and are so lost in TicToc that they don't even see or hear what is happening in the world.

I agree with the comments above. A neighbor had a termite infested tree removed from his yard and they went back into the ground and made mud tubes up into the floor and walls of the Mobil home I was in at the time and ruined the floors, walls and back of the panel walls. My son almost went through the floor before we knew of the infestation.

I learned back in 1981 - never leave a pine tree anywhere on your property that is within falling distance to your house or outbuildings. They grow fast and very tall but their root balls are shallow. A big wind and down they go. The root ball popping out of the ground. Also we had pine beetles. You could literally hear them chomping down from within the pine tree and saw dust around the bottom of the tree. So it cost us a pretty penny but we had to bulldoze them all. You don't want something that attracts termites and pine beetles to your house so cutting it down and getting rid of their "food" is always best. You really want to choose carefully where you plant trees and bushes. You don't want anything with root systems that are too close to the house where the roots can damage driveways, sidewalks, foundations. Know how big they grow and give plenty of room for that growth. My Dad said Bradford Pears are another no-no. They look so pretty this time of spring but they make a terrible mess in your yard and they get brittle as they get a little age on them. So you often see them (if over 12 yrs old) that trunks are split, limbs split off, etc. Another no-no are Leyland Cypresses. They grow large and fast and people like to use them as a barrier. But they only last about 12-15 years and then they die and you have to pay to have those big suckers cut down. Weeping Willows have root systems that are water hogs and they FIND water even if it means growing in your water and septic/sewer lines. That's why they were always planted on the banks of rivers and ponds.

You are transparent, and that's what I love about you and Ashley. You are such a wonderful family and team. So devoted to one another, and that's one of the most charming aspects of your videos. No worries, we do plan on explaining the changes soon. We just have to finish it up first so we can show everything more completely and not in bits and pieces.
Most of this day was spent just standing back and looking at everything and asking ourselves, "Should I move this over?" I didn't get much filming done because it was raining and we didn't bring our work light. So it was loud and dark in the home. But we still made some good changes and plan adjustments.
      Thank you for everything :)

That tree was an accident waiting for an opportunity to happen. You 2 were wise to remove it. Seceral decades ago I had a termite infested tree on a rental property I owned. A friend and I took it down in sections, it would have been risky to 'fell it' as in this video, it was close to the house, power lines and road. When I saw the extent of the infestation I drove to Home Depot and bought a gallon of spray treatment. I sprayed the exterior of the house, garage and the tree we removed. I realize you probably have a better plan, I would interested in knowing your thoughts. I would never think you were redoing work for views. You have more than enough work facing you 2 that provides plenty of content. Sometimes we rethink decisions and realize an adjustment would be wise. I admire your willingness to share that with us. Belle did a nice job around the tree. And she's gorgeous! Maverick is adorable! His smile pulls on my heart - he is precious. That puzzle was huge! I have friends that frame their favorite puzzles and hang them as art.

I was so nervous watching you cut that dead tree. The only reason I could keep watching was because I figured you didn't die if you posted the video. 😐
Seriously though, dead trees are the most dangerous trees to cut down, because there isn't much 'hinge' to make the tree go where you want AND the top can easily break off and come down on top of you. So glad it went okay, but please research more before taking down any more dead trees.
Thanks for sharing your life. My husband and I have been watching you for about three years, and really care about you guys. ❤

Obviously you guys live life the way you want. I would never presume to tell you how to do anything. But I would honestly not only have someone come out and treat for termites (they put these sticks in the ground) but also anything you take back to your other house be careful what is on it. Including dirt you sweep up. I would toss any swept up dirt from the buss into a fire pit just for good measure. Only take a few live termite eggs in the wrong spot to be a down the road issue. Been there and sadly done that and it sucks because you dont see it coming. The buggers are quiet and tiny. Love the progress you are making on things.

That puzzle is really pretty, you should get some puzzle glue and use it as a picture in your bathroom ❤

The 'little jobs' also count - and you all do them well.

My Mom loved puzzles. Sometimes she'd be up until 3 in the morning doing one. Bye, Maverick ❤

I had my doubts that little saw could handle the job. Then I saw how rotted it was. Your little girl is so smart when it comes to insects.

Hey man no apologies! Love having your family on the TV! I do some work while I am watching/listening in sometimes. Always fun to check in with your family! Plus so much to learn!

Never seen a tree that infested with termites. It is a good thing you got it down safely. I have noticed in the last year, it is getting harder to tell Bell from Ashly when they are in the background. Maverick is getting so much taller too. They sure are growing up fast. Bell is following in her Mothers footsteps, she did a great job cleaning up around that tree. I enjoy watching the process, even a re-do since they are improvements. Ignore the Monday morning quarterbacks, nobody makes them watch. Thanks for sharing. Phil

Where do the termite go now the trees down? We don't have them in NZ!

This channel is so satisfying to watch! First the satisfaction of felling the tree, then the cool puzzle.... I'm going to watch this video a few more times, just because I found it so relaxing!🥰🌳🧩

My 2 kids (8 & 4) and I did a 300 piece puzzle yesterday that we got from a thrift store and it was missing 1 piece and had 2 extra pieces from a totally different puzzle. Lol! You never know what you might get with a thrift store puzzle!

Wow...that's a lot of termites!! It's great to see children taking an avid interest in nature...there aren't many in this day and age who would be interested in a termite infested tree!! Kudos to both of you for encouraging your children to think outside the box! What a great cleanup Belle of the tree Belle!! That's a beautiful puzzle🤗. I love your channel, don't change anything!
