Ronaldinho was the right answer well done Patrick
Rivaldo was better imo
@@sugs1191 yeah Rivaldo was at his peak when he played with him and Ronaldinho was probably still a baby. I think he’s hating on Rivaldo. Must’ve been envy and jealously there in that partnership cuz Van Gaal probably favored him more over Rivaldo since he’s Dutch and Rivaldo is Brazilian.
Rivaldo was great, but Ronaldinho was better. Ronaldinho took Barcelona to the absolute top toying with defenders. I never seen a player as good as Ronaldinho was between around 2003-2008
@@icerice8661 he might have been the most fun to Watch. But he is definitely not the best Footballer I've ever seen.
@@Herbalist92 in his prime at Barca he was the best. He was like Maradona.
Ronaldinho is not being praised enough in my opinion, the guy was playing like he was playing on his local court, absolute phenomenal baller!
I couldn't agree more I have said it over and over.
That's because of social media now days played bigger part.
It makes players more popular than their potential.
R10 played that time when there were dozens of best players ever playing the at their best like R9, zidan, Henry and many more yet he outclassed each and every of them with his unbelievable talent.
Everybody loves Ronaldinho.
He usually wins polls, gets shouted out as the idol of current players etc.
It's a shame about Van Gaal, most of British fans only know him for being at United and playing a "Boring" style of play.
But he's one of the greatest coaches of all time. Jose learnt a lot from him.
Van Gaal is imo one of the best or maybe even the best tactical coach I've ever seen. He knew how to influence games with substitutions, always had a solid organisation of his players and was a visionary. The only problem he had was his temper. He used to be a schoolteacher and the way how he approached footballers didn't go well with that in certain situations. He would work best with young players because he could mold them. But superstars would easily get annoyed with his schoolteaching ways.
People that trash him because of his underwelming stint at United have no idea what they're talking about. They never saw him dominating Real Madrid with Ajax, or winning the CL with Ajax. They never saw him debuting players like Xavi and Iniesta. Never saw him winning prizes again with Bayern after a dry spell they had and totally changing their playing style.
He also went with a very mediocre Dutch side to the third place of a world cup. Look what happened to that Dutch squad when he left. They didn't qualify for any tournament after that.
Then came United which was left in shambles by Ferguson who drained that squad empty and used them all up. Leaving old players for Moyes who had no experience leading a top club. I'm sure Van Gaal made mistakes, but if you get a manager like him you need to let him do what he wants. But they didn't. Guess they didn't researched him or followed football well enough. Van Gaal even decided where a tree should be planted at Bayern.
Kiei Luahi I agree
Kiei Luahi I couldn’t have said it better myself.
@@Hieillua I agree, especially with your take on his ability to mould youngsters, an example at Man Utd being Martial and Rashford.
@John Nolanhe can't coach men yet that ajax side had Rijkaard and Blind as the heart of the build up? And Guardiola was hardly young when he played under LVG. Neither were guys like Schweinsteiger or Robben who loved him
Unfortunately English football showed the same ignorance they are showing with Sarri. If they don't understand something they dismiss it. It's a shame because I think with more trust he could have built something at United. The young players responded to him but they were the main talent. The senior talent was badly lacking.
Rivaldo, Kluivert, Figo, what a front 3
He’s obviously going to say Ronaldinho
But Rivaldo and Figo not to be underestimated
Ronaldinho inspired a whole generation.
Rivaldo was brilliant. I remember his frustration. He still was top scorer for Barcelona that season.
i think coutinho is in a similar situation this year he plays on the wing but he likes it in midfield
Riv was the best
Yet the biggest thing he was remembered for was acting like a little girl at the WC.
That hat trick though
Yes people forget about how great Ronaldinho was... Maybe because his brilliance was kinda cut short (4-5 years) but in this years he won absolutely everything in football and with a great smile and style 👌🏼
Ronaldinho the most gifted player of his generation
dazzaburger R9 was
John Nolan Ronaldinho still and will always be best
Okocha!
what was he gifted
@John Nolan ronaldinho and r9 were of the same generation, they only have a 4 year gap. R9 was the best of his generation
Seeing Kluivert in Ajax is the reason I first fell in love with this sport as a kid. Absolute legend. 👑
I love,Kluivert, one of the best #9 in Barcelona's history
Suarez is better lol
@@nbab5832 *one of the best*
not the best
@@nbab5832He said ONE of the best. Read it again carefully.
I was lucky enough to watch ronaldo, zidane and ronaldinho start playing and reach what they have reached, ronaldo in the 90s was phenomenal - thats why he was named obviously- ronaldinho was magical as well, a true magician ...both were superb but less fortunate not compete for a long time due to injuries and other reasons...when u watch messi you can see a pure talent with football, u dont need to teach him anything, as for CR7 the amount of effort and dedication he has put in his game is amazing, havent seen one with this winning mentality....so ill have just to embrace how my generation -born in 88- was lucky enough to watch them all but more importantly to see someone charismatic that would come once in a lifetime like ibrahimovic
Ronaldinho in star war terms “ master yoda” he was the best of his time and influenced the star players of today we call the best.
i became a fan of football when i was a kid because of ronaldinho
The "young" Guardiola was 27 when Kluivert arrived to Barcelona 😅
Miran Pirner Most of us in England know him better as a coach so I assume he meant ‘young’ in more general sense.
Typical English ignorance...
@@joehadden918 to be fair most of us do know Guardiola as a middle aged fella and 27 is young in general. Just 27 in football terms isn’t really young.
People who know football... Know guardiola very well.
Young like human, not like player.
Need to get Arsene Wenger on a MNF special, it would be fantastic, please try and get it done
He would need someone with intelligence and quality as a human to be asking him questions . Carragher has neither of those traits
Just take a minute to see how many world class players were in that team!!...I am happy as hell I was alive to see them killing it..el phenomenon “R9” was another that made us fell in love with this beautiful game....
My favorite player, and I'm sure of many others from that era was Ronaldo Fenomeno 💫
Best player in the entire history of football
@@GDI-disc-accepted Absolutely. The best.
I mean Ronaldo R9,for me he was the best
@@GDI-disc-accepted Yes. Il Fenomeno was the best. He had it all - the speed, power, skill and most of all that glowing smile to make all look so easy. Had been given better advise on his fitness especially his knees, he would played for much longer.
I knew he’d say Ronaldinho! The bloke was awesome
I see “Ronaldinho “ I click.
Patrick Kluivert was one a best and simpaticly player the world
Wut? Lol
Ronaldinho Made us play football with a smile and JOY!
Patrick what a legend.
Van Gaal one of the best Coaches of all Time. We know he was barca coach but what a lot of peoole forget: His coaching was the Start of the new Bayern München. All coaches after him used what he started.
Ronaldinho was the right answer... with rivaldo just behind 🔥🔥🔥
Come to think of it he played with some fantastic players. Rivaldo, riquelme, figo, ronaldinho, and ofcourse young iniesta. Its not easy to pick one.
I’m glad he said Ronaldinho. Some people would’ve said Phillip Cocu, just to seem knowledgable about the game.
Woow Patrick Kluivert used to be my favorite player when i was a kid!
18 yo kluivert at ajax was phenomenon like 18 yo ronaldo at psv (both of them be leading goalscore for their team at such young age )
He got the answer right first time, fantastic 🙌 10 points
Patrick Kluivert is absolutely right. Ronaldinho is the most gifted player player ever. Behind him we can put Messi El Fenomeno-Ronaldo, CR7, Maradona Pele.
@Dan Jolliffe lol Ronaldinho is above Messi ...he won WC...
But most gifted than el fenomeno? A joke !
Ronaldinho foi um craque total!!!
Great insight. More of this please.
Messi is a better passer, dribbler, finisher, free kick taker, creates more chances, gets more assists, scores more goals, more key passes, completes more dribbles and some people have the audacity to say Ronaldinho is better? Don’t be daft amazing player but not even top 5 best ever, the only thing Ronaldinho was better at is skills
Not a better free kick taker or passer
Rivaldo is on the same level as Zidane for me. Zidane might have more trophies, but purely as a player, they were so similar
Yeah at his peak I'd agree. Zidane was at that level for a lot longer though. But for sure, for 2 or 3 seasons there wasn't much between Zidane and Rivaldo
At all ... And don’t get me wrong...rivaldo was pure fire ...for example Neymar is not even near ... but Zidane played for Juventus and won...and remember...Serie A level at this time was mad crazy ... Zidane influenced so many games ...Juventus .. national Team..and Real ...
The Rivaldo legacy problem is Ronaldinho...in Brazil and Barcelona...but he’s better than figo..Nedved...Raul...and so many legends
@@yannicksimok1216 better than figo? figo carried barcelona

Patrick Kluivert a legend!👍
Figo was a great player! I loved him ...
In our neihgbourhurd along with Shevchenko Henry and Ronaldo jersey with Kluivert Barcelona was one of the most popular.
Ronaldinho is god of football!!!
No can come close to him!
Champions league nostalgia 2021 on Skysports! Bring the gem 💎 back on skysports.
Of course Ronaldinho was the most gifted, but as a team player he was a bit lazy. Never fought for the ball after losing the ball, did not help defenders like other attacking midfielders do. If we talk about importance, Rivaldo is definitely on the same level as Ronaldinho (if not higher) at the club, as well as the national team. Patrick also admired Bergkamp and Weah, playmakers he played with
WELL said about RIVALDO . Legend
Not at the club, Ronaldinho transformed Barca by winning a champions league something Rivaldo couldn’t do...
My childhood Idol❤🤲🏾
He is the reason why I support Barcelona till today.
I was somewhat surprised when he said Ronaldinho because I forgot they played together. It was only for one season, last for Kluivert at Barca, and he was a bit past his peak at the time.
Thought he might say Rivaldo, who won the Ballon d'Or while playing together with him and they had great link up. Maybe even Guardiola too who was a genius (a bit like Pirlo). Figo too.
Look at that Barcelona team sheesh 🔥🔥🔥. And yeah I can’t imagine who else he would pick
Him and frank rijkaard in that Dutch team they were world class. 🔥
They never played together in the Dutch team. Or do you mean Ajax. Cause Rijkaard stopped playing international football after WC '94 and Kluivert only played his first game for Ajax a few months later.
Kluivert and Rivaldo were like brothers no doubt he was his best team mate.
He probably thought they asked him who ended being the best player he played with. Ronaldinho wasn’t at Rivaldo’s level yet in 03-04. Maybe he became better in 05-06 but by that time Kluivert left Barca
0:35 the actual formation was 4 4 2. in the 90s and 2000s very few teams played with 1 striker . rivaldo played behind kluivert. luis enrique on the left and figo on the right. enrique was not close to being a central or holding midfielder at all. he played attacking midfield second striker or on the flank. i think they adjust the formations on this show just to fit with modern systems. manchester united when they had van vistelrooy, from 00 to 04 was probably the only big team that played 1 striker
Riquelme
What a player he was
Riquelme for me was an all time best. Such a pleasure to me watching him
2000s barca was are my best club in history...kluivert overmars de.boer cocu xavi rivaldo. I remember all machs that times
Football not the same anymore. Late 90s early 2000s Football talent was at its peak.
You couldn't be more wrong but I know why you feel that way. It is a trap most football fans are victims of.
@@simonjrgensen6761 I could go around telling people their wrong without any reason aswell easy to do.
MJ 789 If you ask nicely I will happily educate you.
@@MJ-zn8iu it seems your nostalgia is blinding you. Of course players are better now than they were then, because coaching is better, training facilities are better and there is so much money in the game that improvement was inevitable. But i understand the way you feel regardless of your rose tinted delusion.
@@simonjrgensen6761 There used to be more singular pure talents, that is what he is saying, it is not about technology or how much longer or faster someone can run. I give you names and you tell me who today you think is an equivalent. Strikers George Weah, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Thierry Henry, Gabriel Batistuta, Kluivert, Del Pierro, Francesco Totti, Nicholas Anelka, Raul, Eric Cantona, Roy Makay, Dennis Berkamp, Shevchenko, Samuel Etoo, Drogba, Kanoute, Berbatov, Trezeguet, Inzaghi. I'm sure i'm forgetting a few. Flair, Big game players. Let me just say there is a reason why winning the champions league two years in a row was an impossible task... come on man
Ronaldinho is the greatest
Ronaldinho must’ve been at the beginning of his prime when he played with him. Didn’t win Ballon D’Or yet I would assume so why not pick Rivaldo who was Ballon D’Or winner when he played with him??
Yes indeed. Ronaldinho seems to be always the popular choice. But rivaldo in my opinion was the better footballer. Less flashy, but boy he was magic. And more decisive too
@@darkseidistheboss5781 people liked Ronaldinho more dats y...cuz I guess he was more charismatic.
@@darkseidistheboss5781 ronaldinho was a midfielder what are you talking about scoring? Ronaldinho was deffinitly the best

rivaldo was monster with nerves of steel
Pat was a beast
Ronaldinho is the greatest player of all time! FACTS
Incorrect.
Simon Jørgensen Like I said, FACTS
Still incorrect son. You need me to educate you.
Simon Jørgensen I’ve seen Ronaldinho dribble past players like Gattuso and Nesta like cones! He made Ashley Cole do splits - he made great players look like fools! He was tbe
He was very good but not for very long. Certainly not very good long enough to be considered the greatest player of all time.
Ronaldinho (at FC Barcelona) is the best player of all time.
He has won national championships, national cups, champions league, World Cup with Brazil, fifa player of the world awards… and so on… He has won more valuable prizes then such as Messi and C. Ronaldo. (For example both never won a World Cup)
To me better then a Pele, Maradona and Cruyff.
Ronaldinho is the Michael Jackson of football, he made me love football
Commenting before watching the vid “I swear if its not Ronaldinho “
Edit: it’s Ronaldinho the GOAT🤙🏻 ❤️great choice kluivert
i did the same thing! lol
I was lucky to see ronaldinho in flesh at nou camp and wot a genius.
Patrick hi!!
Saviola of course
everyone misses Ronnie and kluivert but i miss rivaldo
God bless for saying ronaldinho the best in his time
IMO Rivaldo was more deadly than Ronaldinho. Both great players. Id put Figo up there - as he was incredible at Barca- different kind of player. But Rivaldo was the best.
Exactly. For me it would be very hard between rivaldo and ronaldinho. Ronaldinho is an absolute rare breed magician and no need to describe him. But rivaldo was very complete package too, leader, scorer, passer, classic 10, play maker, FK master, cross, dribble, bicycle kicks, header. I cant choose 😅 i love both
I still think Figo is sorely underrated here. Personally I felt he was better than Dinho he was amazing at Barca
1:09, in reality , the formation was NOT a 4 3 3 , anyone who watched them at that time, knew it was more a 4 4 2, anytime rivaldo got his way, with enrique and figo on the flanks. when van gaal got his way it was rivaldo out wide left, enrique central attacking mid and figo right
Ronaldinho was dynamite. My favourite player
Patrick kluvert was good in the 199s
Not my favorite manager but Pep Guardiola revolutioned football.
Kluivert was not bad himself playing our loved game, but he was even better at armageddon
Ronaldinho one of the greatest of all time.
Patrick great player
It was always going to be Ronaldinho, Messi learned from Ronaldinho so don’t @ me.
YSB They asked about the players that he played with at Barca. Patrick joined Barca in 1998, he didn’t play with Ronaldo9.

Surprised at his answer. I thought it's gonna be Rivaldo.😔
No its no surprise he picked Ronaldinho that man was a different breed people forget how good his vision was his passing lobbing and through balls aswell he was a all round player
@@A.ali313 interesting that u didn’t mention scoring ability cuz Kluivert inexplicably did.
In kluivert's defense, We all know his choices were rivaldo riquelme ronaldinho. But he had to choose only 1.
They all had magical technique and playmaking. All free kick and pass masters, classic 10s (all 3 among all time great classic 10s).
So he took their fitness into consideration. And obviously ronaldinho was the fastest and most agile and intense of the 3.
For me, i wouldnt pick one. I would pick all 3.
@@YoogiNation ofc i didnt what i was saying is that ppl always think that all Ronaldinho did was dribble and score goals like that was his only ability, was mentioning how ppl look past his other attributes his vision, lobbing, through balls etc.
@@A.ali313 my point was Ronaldinho didn’t score many goals. As a matter of fact he was not a great finisher. He’s the type of player who likes assisting more than scoring.
Carra and his scouser accent
He should be the next coach of Barca
Ronaldinho was very very dominant, but his peak only lasted 2/3 years. His talent was out of this world, but he couldn’t maintain it. So I’d take Messi over him.
He's speaking about who he played with.
Two treble winning managers in that Barca lineup - Pep and L.Enrique.
Don’t forget Cocu and Frank De Boer. Both won titles as managers in the Dutch League. Amazing how much success Barca breeds even with alumni who become managers. A truly special club.

Yes and the tragic thing about Patrick Kluivert is that the end of his career already started when he was 26/27.
