    As someone who has climbed Carrantuohill in the rain, and separately in the dark, I can confirm it is indeed both terrifying and fun to climb a mountain when its wet and dark. The main thing is I was doing it on purpose.

    Don't worry, you aren't alone on bringing no snacks on a hike. My brother and I climbed over 2000 feet up a mountain over 7 hours round trip over on a 9 mile round trip and had no food, it was exhausting with how steep that hike was, luckily we had water.

    Outro joke fell flat, 3/10. Tell “Bard” to help you make something out of cobblestone, netherrack, and end stone. And I wondered how *climbing a waterfall in the rain* was going to work, and it clearly *didn’t*; glad you didn’t die of hypothermia on that mountain, Toycat; good you had two good buddies who didn’t turn on you with you, though. Lessons learned:
    1) Bring some kind of protein bars or something on a hike (along with plenty of water)
    2) Leave twice as much time before dark to get down the mountain as you spent going up.
    3) Pre-book if you are going to a foreign country where they may not like you very much.
    Hope you are physically recovered and don’t have too many nightmares of being trapped in mud in the wet dark, Toycat! ❤️

    As someone who used to work in hospitality, my blood was boiling at how unhelpful all the hotel and airline employees were!

    I've worked night audit at hotels and if we have the rooms even at 4am we sell them. Part of the problem with booking on line is that when it's after midnight the date automatically defaults to the next night so while you can book for that night, guaranteed check in of 4pm that day, we might not have rooms available at 4am since check out time isn't until 11am that day .... same day you are booking on though looking for a stay of that night. :/ Hope that makes sense. :)

    Thats good to be home again. Ive thought about supplies needed to go on the road when driving its better because there is a tent that extends across the trunk area to be camping. To not sleep on the ground and get wet a cot is nice but to go on hikes Id have to bring a cycle bike its propelled with arms or legs in a reclined position thats easier to go on terrain in forests. There would be campsites in the area?

    Yelling at someone and being angry at something that happened are two different things. You can be angry that something happened, but its what you do after that matters. If i sit there and yell, it is counter productive, but if i get mad and fix it, then it isnt. If all you associate mad with yelling then its a you thing and i can understand why you think its counter-productive.

    • @Flareontoast
      @Flareontoast Před 8 měsíci +1

      Usually the problem with concrete is mining sand (which has more uses, like glass and sandstone) and dyes. Sand is, unless you make a sand duper, not a farmable resource like gravel so you're more likely to not have that much lying around. And yeah, some dyes are a pain in the neck to farm on a larger scale. And lastly, the whole water to transform the concrete powder. I cannot fault anyone for not constantly making concrete lol
