- Join us as we visit Spain & Portugal on P&O Ventura in October 2021. In this episode we show you around parts of the ship and our first port of call, the beautiful city of Lisbon.
Enjoy our stunning sail into Lisbon under the 25th April Bridge, spanning the River Tagus, looking beautiful lit up in the half light of the early morning.
We visited on the day of the Lisbon Marathon and were close to the Finish Line as the elite athletes ran through. Despite visiting before it was lovely to wander and remind ourselves of the amazing architecture, in particular the famous Praça do Comércio (Commerce Square) with its impressive statue of King José I.
Wonderful video, delicious food loved it keep posting..
Thank you and thank you for watching and supporting our channel 😊
Brilliant, thank you
Thank you so much for watching, we have just added the second episode this morning which includes our visits to Cadiz & Malaga as well as more from the ship 😊
Thank you for a great video. We’re on 5 December. Can’t wait to get reacquainted with this lovely ship!
Thank you so much for watching. She is a lovely ship - hope you have a fabulous time. Where will you be going on the cruise?
just to add this is your best video yet. Stunning. Dolphins, Athletes and you pick out lots of interest. Others just show too much food and cabin inside cupboards. Well done.
As I said in my previous reply, thank you so much for watching and your lovely comment.
Wow I wasn't expecting such a great video. Thank you 👍
Thank you so much for your comment - it makes all the effort of filming and editing worthwhile to receive a comment like this 🙂
@@TravelwithUsLynnePaul You definitely put a lot of effort into this great video and it shows 👍 Thanks for sharing this.
Lovely video! It's always great to see dolphins swimming. I'm looking forward to revisiting Lisbon again, this time on Iona in March. We've got an overnight port stay.
Thank you Angela - Paul stood patiently for what seemed like hours to film enough footage of them to get this small clip. We are on Iona again in February and will be visiting Lisbon again but it is somewhere that I will never tire of seeing 🙂
Will be doing this trip in may 24
Thanks for watching - hope you have a fabulous cruise, she is a lovely ship 😀
Thanks I was on it the same time. My next one is back with Azura from Malta. Good video guys and I now hope PO will focus in getting full capacity. It was very quiet when we were on and also the photo deck etc were not available due to COVID. Beach House and Sindu was my favourite. Thanks for sharing your video.... Dil
Hi - thank you for watching, pleased you enjoyed it. It will be nice to see capacity increasing and all facilities open but I suppose doing everything too soon could cause problems that may result in infection outbreaks - fingers crossed it won’t be long. We are going on Iona in a couple of weeks - hoping not too many areas unavailable. Enjoy your cruise on Azura 😀
Beautifu; video, could i please ask what is that gorgeous epic music you used, its awesome? xx
Thank you so much for watching. It is called New Land and is part of a collection of music that was installed within our editing software - it is fabulous isn’t it and totally fits in with the video footage. We have used it again in our second video taken onboard Ventura that we uploaded yesterday, it is a completely different setting (Roman amphitheatre in Cadiz) but just sets the scene so perfectly 😊
Really enjoyed your videos, thank you for sharing. I m looking at booking a P&O cruise , which would you say is your favourite ship if possible? They all look amazing, thank you 🙂
Hi Sara - thank you for watching. I think, purely based on variety of entertainment, choice of restaurants, it would probably be Iona but Britannia and Ventura are lovely ships as well 😄. Whichever you choose, you will have a fabulous time 😀
Lovely video, enjoyed it very much. We are on Ventura 5th - 17th December. Just wondered what the situation is with dancing? Are the dance floors open or are P&O still saying this is a no no? Just curious, I love a good boogie, but obviously happy to live without as health and safety always comes first 😊
Thanks for watching the video 😁. We were on in October and there was no dancing allowed in Havana although a few people did towards the end of the night. Ironically there were ballroom dancing sessions going on in the atrium and line dancing sessions in Tamarind. I can’t remember whether people in those sessions had to wear masks though. Hope you have a fabulous time 😀
We wil be on Ventura hopefully middle of December, can't wait,it will be our 2nd time, just wondering if there will be a virtual queue needed to eat at the buffet dining room? Loved the video!
Thank you for watching. When we were on her in October eating in the buffet was more or less as normal, it was self service. The only thing that was different was masks have to be worn whilst walking around. As soon as you sit down, masks can be removed. Hope you have a lovely time in December 🙂
Subscribed. Best of success with your channel
Thank you so much and thank you for subscribing 😊
Looks pretty quiet on there, we are going on the Ventura middle of March hopefully fingers crossed and all that. Was the ship only half full?
Hi - thanks for watching. We always film around the ship in the early morning so as not to intrude on the privacy of other passengers. The ship was probably three quarters full and there was a great atmosphere everywhere. Hope you have a great cruise in March
Ok just watched your fab video again. You are really good at this. We have booked Ventura for Oct 22 to Spain and Portugal. Have you any news on what shape the ship is in after the pandemic. Did they update anything. Would you still recommend this cruise. Love to know your view.
Hi Janet - we didn’t notice any difference in the way the ship looked from March 2019 to October 2021. We read a few comments that she is looking old and tired but we disagree and wouldn’t hesitate to book another cruise on her 😀
Thank you. Thats great news. We are going to do each of the walks you videod.@@TravelwithUsLynnePaul
@@janethoughton6094 keep an eye out for our next video on Iona - we were in Cadiz again and found the most fabulous public park called Parque Genoves - highly recommended
Hello. Great video. We need a cruise soon (before end of June) and we are stuck on Ventura or Britannia. Is Venture looking tired. Our favourite resturarant service has been Ventura. Never fancied Britannia because of no prom deck. Help two people choose.
Hey Janet - thank you for your lovely comments. We are going on Britannia in September - she was the first ship we ever cruised on and we love her for that but also found her size offered more venues and we loved the separate cinema and the spa. This was our second time on Ventura - totally agree about the best service, the Beach House on Ventura was our favourite restaurant on P&O until we tried the Keel & Cow on Iona. If it was us we would probably choose Britannia. Personally we don’t think Ventura looks tired at all. Whichever you choose, we hope you have a fabulous time 😊
Bit of a concern in that the buffet looked to be self serve. I thought staff were to plate up for you. Nice video. Thanks
Thank you for watching. I think this cruise was one of the first where the self service buffet was re-introduced by P&O. We were surprised but throughout the cruise everything was immaculately clean and the crew worked extremely hard - we felt totally safe.
@@TravelwithUsLynnePaul Thanks for your answer.. Disappointed that they changed that procedure... WE have Iona in May and Ventura in Oct next year....
Not sure they have changed it on Iona yet but if not, I am sure they will at some point - we were on Iona in August, she is a beautiful ship. We have videos of that trip as well on the channel if you haven’t already seen them. Hope you have a fabulous time on both cruises, we are back on Iona in February.
Hie sir in this Cruise my brother is working in service department his name is vedant ulhalkar he services too good can you sir plz show him in your blog sir plz at hotel u can meet him
Nice video, unfortunately added sound, why?
Real city-sound is half of the experience, you know.
Thank you for watching and for your feedback. Perhaps in future videos we will leave part of the city soundtrack in, it is just that when walking there is always an element of wind movement which isn’t kind on the ears but we do take your point and thank you for the observation. Also on this particular day, the Lisbon Marathon was on and there was a lot of talking going on over loudspeakers 😊
