On the board is a buddha quote. I actually sat down with my aunt and we deciphered it.

We had to get a screenshot and zoom in on most of it, but it was fun!

Wow, ALOT of work went into making this. The stopmotion, lighting, set, props, animation, story and everything else about this film is phenonimal. I hope it won all the awards.

The Maker is hands-down the best short I've seen in a while. It's a story with a million words, despite none of the characters speaking. I wish I could put into words how much I love this short, but I guess a comment will have to do. You guys are amazing!
First time I've seen 'The Maker' in 2011, more than 10 years ago... Since then, lots of different animations were watched but 'The Maker' is still the best and my favourite. I've watched it so many times and even tried to create the Maker's toy copie.

I fell in love with 'The Maker', It held me utterly spellbound, the exquisite detail, the most beautiful musical accompaniment, A wonder and a joy to behold, I've watched it so many times, and every time, it just keeps giving.❤

I cried a lot when the maker ended. I'm in awe with the amount of detail that went into this project. The books! The wall of shelves?!?! The maker's cute little happy face. Amazing.
Now that we know that it's an actual language... Does anyone want to work on translating the book? It seems like a shame to let all that work go to waste, but my eyes keep mixing sections up.
Unless you guys, the makers of the maker, happen to have an official translation lying around?

(kind of late but...) I tried translating but the first line was something like: "THE MAKER xore? ipsua dolor sit am?t" and then I gave up
You put so much time and effort into these projects, I congratulate you on all the work you put into it, and the amazing product you got out of it.
"The Maker" was amazing, to say the least. And it did. It said the most with no dialogue and was probably better for it. The designs for the creatures was unbelievable as well. Such work, dedication, and passion for a project is very gratifying to see. Please keep it up!

Wow! Wonderful. I've been making stop motion animations but I'm only one person making the sets and props, posing characters, writing the story. So nice to have a team.
"The maker"is the most inspiring thing i've ever seen! I'd love to see a whole movie coming, but i know, just because it's working as a short film, it doesn't mean it's working as a movie. Anyway, i love 'the maker' and i'll keep on waching it when i'm uninspired^^
As an artist and a writer and just a regular person who loves storytelling I really appreciate when creators allow us the privilege of seeing their creative process.

Everything in that short movie was *spectacular*. To me? Nothing went unseen. The whole atmosphere was just downright phenomenal. (Creepy as hell too)

Such a brilliant and compelling story. The music was my favorite part!
I fell in love with this video a few months ago. And the music is on a loop as I create my version of the Amanda Louise Spayd dolls. I have made 2 so far and they are my prized babies. I make mine in polymer clay and soft cloth ( vintage fabrics) and trims with some antique accoutrements. Thank you for bringing these wonderful creatures to life.

I loved the original animation and the 'Behind the Scenes', I also love that it was a wonderful collaboration of different artists, something that isn't seen often enough. Looking down the comments, it is a compliment to your creativity and skill that for once, on You Tube, so many people have so many good things to say. I think the person who wrote; 'I cried when the rabbit disappeared' truly shows you how in a few short minutes a group of great artists can confer the whole 'sweet sadness' of the nature of life and love.
