And I love the overall form factor. I'm coming from the S23 Ultra. That thing was so heavy it made me hitch my belt another notch. I forget I've 8got this phone in my pocket. I really do. I was looking for my phone earlier today, and realized it was in my front pocket. Give this phone and OnePlus a chance. They did very well on this phone.
I replaced my OnePlus 8 with it and I love this phone. It so snappy and the battery lasts damn near forever. Honestly I dont see anything on the S24 Ultra that makes it worth $500 more than this (especially when it also has some compromises like a smaller battery, less RAM, and slower charging)
I have both -the ultra and the 12 - I luv my ultra much more than the 12. The ultra is better in everythingh that it does. There is no camera comparison between the 2.
Even in the above video, the 12's camera is just horrible when steady and disgusting when moved.

For those that don't know but OP12 charges at 100w in north America. OP only ships the 80w charger due to cost but if you purchase the 100w supervooc off their website it will work and charge ur op11 and OP12 at 100w.

@@TheJabberTechI have it, the only thing is that the charger page hasn't been updated so it only states the OnePlus 11. But it worked on my 11 and now my 12. Doesn't work on the open

Faster than what exactly? Also I have a s24 ultra and cell signal is a beast compared to my iPhone 13 or Google pixel xl both which had terrible cell signal. It never has disconnected or lagged either. I know one plus also has a amazing modem as well I assume it's almost the same since they both use Qualcomm antennas.

Indeed, a very nice video. Although, I will take issue with you on the curved glass. In fact, I prefer it over the flat screen. Not only is it far more premium in appearance but, it is more ergonomic. Truthfully, I absolutely hate these flat slab Flintstone phones. Their perpetual right angles bulk up the device and make it very uncomfortable to hold. That may be the way it works with fred, Barney and the gang down in Bedrock but, they can keep their iPhone clones and I'll take curved glass any day. Lol.
I've been using my OnePlus 12 for about 2 weeks now and I love it. In fact, I can honestly say that it's probably the smoothest and most efficient device that I've ever used. The software runs buttery smooth and the battery longevity is amazing.
As far as the camera module on the back goes, I have no idea what it's made of. However, if it is tempered glass which I suspect it's not, all you really have to do is purchase a camera lens protector. I ordered one for my 12 and 11.
actually that's what's stopping this device from being a TOTAL knockout: not having a flat screen. i hope next year they go flat screen.
@@fallback8314 regardless, this device is indeed a knockout. Curved glass is far more ergonomic. Flat screens and their perpetual right angles is nothing more than the current trend. If you desire an iPhone clone then go with a samsung. Personally, I prefer a high-end ergonomic flagship device. Thanks for the reply but, I stand by my original statement.
@@dr.fitprofessor4363 it's a tremendous phone. i have it. flowy emerald 16/512 which is just GORGEOUS. i also have the violet s24 ultra which as of today 3/12/24 i STILL haven't taken out of its shipping box as i already know it'll be less interesting of a device than the oneplus 12. BUT the curved screen, although you may like it, is tired played out and useless not to mention somewhat troublesome when it comes to protection and safety plus the flat screen provides a wider screen and subsequently more screen real estate which i prefer. that's just my opinion but i have a feeling i could be in the majority because when it's mentioned in other videos, opponents to the curved screen receive A LOT of up votes. i was never on board with it when it came out several years ago and now i think most people feel it's time to move on. heck even samsung has moved on and they came out with it.

I like my night shots to look like night shots, and Oneplus 12 makes an excellent job at it! unlike the the other flagship cameras; their night photography looks very artificial
The 12 has serious sound quality and you "will" listen to music more often on the 12. The camera function is very extensive!
I also have a OnePlus 7 Pro which I enjoyed very much, even though it had poor sound quality and no, I didn't listen to music on it, but then the phone stopped charging.
FULL PANIC MODE
Everything is on the phone and I'm very poor at backing up. I tried a different cable, no luck. So I went online and bought a battery with tools for $20 and then even sprung for a OnePlus 12. Nice, fast way to get rid of $900.
Well the 12 is great and spent the whole day just playing around with it. Then I took the new charging cable and gave the OnePlus 7 another go. My original red cable had a frayed(weird) connector end.
Yup, it charged right up!
So I had the bad luck of having two cables go bad at the same time leading me, in my panic, to believe my battery was kaput. OUCH, that was an expensive lesson.
ALWAYS CHECK YOUR CABLES FIRST. That's the most likely failure point.
The only good news is the OnePlus 7 allows you to create a hot spot even without a sim card(my MOTO didn't).
So, software updates on my Tesla just got easier!
Samsung had an iris scanner which was more secure than face unlock of course they got rid of it
People need to demand a secure face unlock from these companies

It's easier to have your phone unlock just as you look at it. Don't need an extra step of placing finger on a scanner

@@TheJabberTech we have fingerprint scanners we can unlock it using that and it's secure too and as I did say if it's not under display we don't need it, there are so many under display cameras out there now

My personal ultimate question: iPhone 15 Plus or Oneplus12? Is the Oneplus 12 worthy of winning my personal race against the iPhone 15 plus? However, I have a great fear that after about 10 years as a very satisfied customer of the IPhone ecosystem, it will be extremely difficult for me or even I will not be able to get used to it and make the transition from iPhone to Android... Hard decision...
