What a good time to be alive to witness greatness. Eliud Kipchoge discipline in marathon training and performance is second to none. This man has been in the game for 20yrs.. it's crazy to even imagine that in 2003 he was world champion though in 5km
yes that is ultra fast! BUT how fast would he be with normal running shoes? and not these high end prototyp shoes he only had! remember! in swimming they had these shark skin suits and they were f.... fast. but not the fastest swimmer wins, the athlete with the best suit wins!
@@superx96 he has a grerat technic. but when the shoe gives him 2 or 3 sec per km, he runs 1:20-2:00 min faster. an that is more than a world. one time at a local running event i talked to the winner of the halfmarthon. he did a (for him not all out) 1h12min (3:24 per km). and he said that the nike vaporfly gave him 5-8sec a km. on a halfmarathon 1min45 - 2min48. that will bring u immediately more than one or two years of technic training! in thriathlon there will be a rule change. they have to wear shoes, which u can buy in a normal shoe store! no prototype allowed!
@@thechosenone82517 Yes, I think you are right. It's not that much benefit, but if you compete at such a high level and it is all about seconds and can make a difference in winning or losing. On the other hand, amature runners really search their win in speed in wearing high tech shoes and I really think that is nonsense. I am myself a barefoot runner (fivefingers) and I can tell you, that you can't find so much technology in a shoe, that you can actually find in your own feet. Anyhow, enjoy your running 👍🏻
@@superx96 barefoot foot runners are crazy as hell. Sometimes i see people barefoot or with running flip flops competing in a marathon. And u are right! The best for the feets is not to wear shoes. @@thechosenone82517 well, they are not so crazy as you think. They spend maybe a year to strengthen up and learn the technique. All to just to invest in your body.
