FALSE INFORMATION ALERT. 2:08, the 2.0 liter engine is NOT DIRECT INJECTION, it is a port injection engine. The 1.5 has direct injection.

Love the video, thank you for showing us the Base model. i mean realistically a lot of us usually can afford the base model... lol so its wonderful that you show the base in such detail, everyone else is so keen on selling the top models so you have so many videos showing features that we wont really get.

Great Review. I have been looking at purchasing a more fuel efficient vehicle as I have had a Nissan Pathfinder for the last few years and I have about a 60 mile commute to work. I am surprised with all of the features that I can get on the base model. I concur with a lot of the other viewers in that I appreciate you reviewing the LX base model because a lot of the other CZcams videos are on the higher level trims. Thanks again.

Great video Laura. Would you do a video on the Civic Coupe when it is available? Not the turbo but the 2 liter engine. Since Honda never had a turbo I am concerned there will be bugs to work out the first year and I don't think you will get the longevity out of a turbo that you can out of a normally aspirated engine. Your thoughts.

Great review! I'm an express tech at Darrell Waltrip Honda and I wanted to see more of the interior on the LX Civic as opposed to the underside of it! ;) definitely beats my gf's Kia Forte base model! I'm absolutely sold on this! (Wanted a manual transmission, and it's only available on the LX, but with these standard options, I can deal with not having a touch screen!)

Honda is better than Toyota. Toyota always felt cheaply built but Honda always had better quality built into their cars. I'm a Honda and Acura person myself. Love all the standard features this car has to offer. Excellent car review!

So now its possible to get a Honda Civic that has a radio that has a VOLUME CONTROL KNOB on the radio itself? FINALLY ! I absolutely hate that volume swipe-touch-pad thing on the knobless radios on the higher end models. I was going to get a Hyundai just to get a radio that has a volume knob on it, but now I see that if I get the lower-trim LX civic I can get that knob on the radio also. So thanks for the video, now I'm going to buy a Civic LX Coupe.
That's my car with them hub caps. Mine is a manual. Bought the 2017 model in 2020 with 17k miles. 60k miles later, still reliable.
LX Hondas are usually a best buy, sunroofs are nice but they cut back on headroom quite a bit. And steel wheels are more reliable, quiet and ride nicer. A great buy when you consider what it already comes with. The LEDs are a great sell point, I want one so bad but I do like my 2012 Fit.
Great video. I'm interested in trading in my Honda Civic 2007. Does the 2016 LX model have the fuel range indicator, where it shows how many miles until the next gas fill up?

Lol I have that same exact car. White LX sedan. I only chose LX because I drive like 30k a year and I pick up a lot of people...I'm super happy to have it though. Can't wait until I can trade it in for a 2018 accord coupe or next gen civic coupe.

Jezz Probably not, all civics ( and pretty much all Hondas) are FWD. I wouldnt count on it.

I just bought this model yesterday in the Modern Steel color with Black interior. I love it! I didn't realize later though that it doesn't have a CD player. That's a small feature to add for a $20,000 car. It was somewhat of a disappointment for what I paid but it's still a great car. Highly recommended!

How do I set the clock face wallpaper? Right now, I just have the small digital clock displayed in the upper right-hand corner. I do have my wallpaper check marked and set to clock (with showing the clock face version) but it won't apply. Help!

Lots of standard features on the base model I'm surprised. You'd have a really fun daily driver if you got the base coupe model with the manual transmission for a really good price. Then you could use the money you save for some dealer accessories so you don't have to wait to get aftermarket ones.
Does AC come with this trim? Also what are the safety features on the LX (without Honda Sensing)? Lastly, does anybody think it's worth to spend some extra money to get the EX trim that comes with potentially more safety features? Thank you so much.
Hey Emily! AC is standard on all Honda models and trims! Some standard safety features of the civic are Vehicle Stability Assist, Anti-Lock Braking System, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, LED Daytime Running Lights, not to mention Honda Sensing available on all trim levels and in my opinion does add extra safety! Moving up a trim level will give you added safety of the Lane Watch Camera, one of my most favorite features of a Honda! -Honda Laura
