You know, for a minute, I’d forgotten how easily this parallels with God, Our Father, but I really like thinking about it that way better - there are too many sad songs that remind me of my parental figures already. It’s a nice song, though. And as always, beautiful harmonies!

WOW! We really like for King + Country. First time I heard this song. Really good. My dad has been gone since 1990. My father-in-law died on my birthday 5 years ago. Both men left us a legacy. Our son, who will be 50 this week, calls us everyday to check up on us. He lives in Missouri, we live in Ohio. What a blessing. God is good.
I lost my daddy April 2nd, 2013.... and I miss him so much.... I'd love to be able to hear his voice again, to feel his hugs again.... 😢😢 this song made me miss him...3 years after he died the phone that had my last message on it from my daddy got stolen and they could have kept everything else and I wouldn't have cared as much as I did that phone.... people life is way to short and one day you're going to regret you let the small things get in the way an miss being able to say goodbye to your love one....
Sitting here with tears rolling down…my husband went to be with Jesus almost 13 years ago. Songs like this remind me of how much I miss him and so do our children and grandchildren. He was a wonderful godly man and most definitely an “unsung hero “.

Oh what a great song, I just lost my dad 2 weeks ago. I called my dad every day on my way home from work, and I found myself calling him this past week like I did before! To tell him how my day went. 😢 I am going to miss those calls a lot. Thank you for this wonderful song. I would so love to check in just one more time! 😢😢

I love this song to! Just listened to it because I am wide awake thimking about my loveds ones I lost recently. So many times I want to call to tell them something and realize I can't. So I just tell God please give them this msg. I am so happy I saved over 20 msgs my mom left on my cell phone. I listen to them every week, I laugh I cry just to hear her voice, her laughter, and her saying she loves me. She is gone 3 years now but feels like yesterday. I had a birthday msg my dad left me but accidentally erased it. Would give anything to have it back. He passed 8 mos after my mom. And just recently in May my youngest sister passed, I have the sweetest msg from her I replay all the time. And lastly my niece passed away a couple weeks later, only 19. I have a butterfly video she sent me with her sweet voice. Those are my comfort go to's. I hope you can do the same. Until we see them again some glad morning. God bless you one and all.

I love it! I lost my dad in 2021 and the last time I hugged his neck was September 16 at my mom’s funeral. A week later he was in the hospital and when we were able to see him again there was plenty of equipment in the way of a good hug your neck hug. So to see the date of the hug in the video really did feel like a special hug from above. Praising God for using your amazing talent to comfort a daughter missing her dad today. ❤️✝️

Love, love, love with my father being gone for over 15 years and my mother who just passed away. Made me cry. I miss the daily calls. Knowing both are with Jesus now, I know they don't have time to talk anyway 😮
My dad has been gone for more than 10 years. He wasn't around much when I was growing up (workaholic), but when I was in my 20s he changed and started to check in regularly. It drove me nuts. I was so broken by his lack of presence that him wanting to regularly be in my life... I didn't handle it well. There was so much between us.
After he passed, I wished I had done more. Has tried harder to have the hard conversations with him. And that regret is hard to live with. As I listened to this, the Holy Spirit prompted me to forgive myself and move on. Forgiving myself is often harder than forgiving others,lol.

Wow!! I lost my mom 6 yrs ago this month and 6 yrs for my dad. This song hit hard but also a good reminder not to take for granted that they will be there, that anyone will be there. Last Wednesday I listened more closely to these words when I was driving home. Fortunately, I was waiting at a 🛑 when I started crying. My Dad passed 6 years ago. He had advanced dementia, so I was caring for him while my mom was in the hospital. Even though it was stressful and exhausting, I am grateful the LORD gave me the strength to care for him. He only had one lucid moment during the month and a half I was with him. He tapped my arm, when we were waiting at his doctor appointment. He said, “thank you for taking care of me.”seconds later he was no longer lucid. What a gift the LORD gave me! He passed away the next month, the night before Easter. I pictured him running down the streets of gold singing How Great Thou Art (his favorite praise song).
This song's made me cry so many times. Lately I've been really missing my grandfather who died before I was born. I wish so much that I could have known him, wish he could see me, my sisters, my little nephew now. I wish I could call and talk to him. I wish I could've see he and Grammy together. I don't know how you can miss someone you've never even met so much.
But it's also reminded me not to take advantage of the family I do have. So I try to make sure to call Grammy and my sister more often "just checkin' in." And try to spend more time with my sisters and parents while they're all right here.

I lost my Dad along time ago when I was 12 years old, it will be 43 years ago at the end of next month(March 2024), there's not a day that goes by that I wish I couldn't speak to him. So all those who still have your dad, be thankful, and if you don't have a good relationship with them , find a way to mend that fence.

My dad has been gone for over 20 years and i still miss him so, but throughout the song i was thinking about my sons and wishing that they had a better relationship with their dad. Our time on this earth is limited and to me , the heart of this song, is to make the most of the time we have together and its sad when people are alive and able, but chose not to engage and connect with those who love them.

I'm really glad I've got my dad. In 2016 we stopped talking because he got mad at me over something so stupid, I blocked him on everything, didn't have my number. In 2018 or 17 he messaged me happy birthday, he'd make new Facebook accounts just to wish me happy birthday. I kept ignoring those messages until 2021. May 2021 I got a call from my step dad at 3am saying that my mom had pass away. My dad's sister (my aunt) and my mom have always been super close, and talked almost everyday so I asked her if I should let my dad know because we'll he was married to my mom, over 20 years ago, but still he's my dad and what not. So my aunt thought I should call and let him know. I am so glad I called him. We have gotten closer than ever and my spouse even met him! I am so happy to have my dad back in my life and I forgive what he did to me years ago
I happen to be blessed with 2 Father's. My Dad and I may fight and won't tell him I love him back but I always have. Hearing this song after ignoring it, I broke down in tears knowing I love him so much.
