My husband just took me to see this for Mother's Day and it completely wrecked my soul! I was at a huge Youth Conference in Washington D.C in 1991 DeGarmo and Key, DC Talk, Carmen, Al Denson (I'll be singing one of his songs the night I deliver my testimony at church), Mark Lowry, and several others performed there so I loved seeing these big names in the movie. I have 4 sons (21, 19 in August, 16, and 15). My oldest two are from my first marriage and I've recently found out they want nothing to do with me. My glue bottle had run dry but I just bought a brand new one, I'm burning the ship and never looking back!!!! Thank you so much Smallbone family for sharing your testimony with us all! This movie was truly beautiful. In a society that has lost family values, it is refreshing to see a movie that promotes faith, family, and christian community
Rebecca St. James was my favorite singer in the 90s and early 2000s, and still is my favorite Christian singer. My favorite song by her is "I Will Carry You". I still remember the words, and I listened to that song quite a bit when I was in high school. I wasn't well liked, and I came from a fatherless (and for 3 years, motherless) home.
I got to see Rebecca St. James twice, once in HS, once in college if I remember right, and I actually got to hug her at a music fest in Greenville, IL. With her voice, I'm glad she chose to advance the kingdom of God.
Rebecca St. James has been my favorite singer for 20 years now, I'm thrilled that the story of how she and her family made it through their initial trials and she became the Christian music legend she'd eventually become is getting the big screen treatment!

I didn't know she was their sister!! I used to do a puppet ministry, and we used a lot of her songs... it blessed us and hopefully everyone who saw and heard. One parent asked who it was, and said it was the most beautiful voice she had ever heard, so I am glad we shared. God bless!

Saw the movie today - a screening at work with Luke and Joel (and their parents) there. Not a dry eye in the house. Inspiring story. Awesome movie. I still remember where I was the first time I heard "Abba (Father)" by RSJ and watching a piece of her family's story on the big screen was just an honor.
Omg, I am in tears. Rebecca St James was my hero growing up. I always thought she was so talented and beautiful, and she has such an amazing life story. I'm so glad someone is finally telling it.😊😊😊😊🎉

Was able to see an early preview release of this film today. It's a beautiful story of a family who in the face of adversity find strength, hope, and inspiration in each other and their faith. I'd sum it up as a story that's less about finding your way and more about making your way; figuring it out, working hard, being tenacious and resilent, as well as grateful and humble. And how overcoming challenges is often made easier with those you love and who love you by your side. It also shows that often life's most precious blessings often come from life's toughest situations. Well acted and produced, a worthwhile watch for those seeking a story about family, community and faith.
Just think… if the dad’s job had been legit, and the hadn’t needed to “make a way”, maybe there’d be no RSJ or 4K&C music out there for the world to enjoy!!! Trials can be blessings in disguise!

@@ryanmathis8286 It’s the story of Joel and Luke’s family as they immigrated from Australia to Nashville Tennessee back in 1991 and it also tells the story of how their sister (Rebecca St. James) got her start as a recording artist.

This looks wonderful! Exactly the type of film all of us with families are wanting to see. The only negative is that we apparently have to wait 5 months to see the film. Why on earth would Lionsgate / For King and Country put a trailer out so incredibly early. Here's hoping I don't forget about this movie in 5 months!
Watched a special invitation preview this evening and can tell you it'll be worth the wait. Joel and Luke are on tour now so they're out promoting the film coinciding with their concerts. I'm sure they're hoping to build interest among their fan base and beyond so that when the movie is released to theaters people will be motivated to go see it. We enjoyed it very much.

I was blessed to have floor seats, right up front to see For King & Country last night @ The Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. & they are absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! Seriously, i was blown away & i still am.

I really want to see this movie. I was a big RSJ fan back in the 90's. Saw her 4 times in concert and met her in person once. Loved those music festivals back then. She always talked about her siblings. For King and Country I discovered a few years ago. I also just realized that Joel Smallbone played the part of Antipater(King Herod's brother) in Journey To Bethlehem. Watched it recently. Looking forward to this being released on digital.

Yes, makes no sense and is misleading like it is a movie about Dolores O'Riordan.
The line "Your family? They're not in the way. They are the way" is a piece of wisdom passed on to me by my confessor. I repeated it on the Areopagus Podcast, and according to an interview he gave, Richard Ramsey the co-director/screenwriter heard it on the podcast and then added it to the script.
I'm honored that my passing on this piece of wisdom would make its way into this film, and I hope that those who are touched by it would explore the enormous storehouse of wisdom to be found in the Orthodox Church. You are welcome, and we're waiting for you.

Interesting cause i like secular music and the song that is in the trailer because the song is called dreams by the cranberries and it looks good especially with Lucas black being in the movie and im only sayin it because i grew up watching fast and the furious movies and he was in a few of them. I hope he comes back for the last fast and furious movie.
As for kings and country…they did do a good Christian song for the movie ben hur with morgan freeman in it

Got lucky to watch this masterpiece overseas before it's much awaited release in UK this 16th June. Inspired by the true story of Smallbone family and their six kids it captures their journey in the most mesmerising way it can!!!
The biggest challenge will be for anyone to watch this movie without crying.
