I keep coming back to this over and over. Such a damn good band and excellent stage performance! Gotta say, they have the highest quality merch. I bought a Watain T-Shirt at a show and the graphics were all dyed instead of pressed decals that crack after a couple washings.

The first time I saw them live , people were outside puking from the smell of the petrified animal blood ... I thought to myself ...fuck yes !!! This is real black metal !
I've seen them live 6 times and March will make show 7. I've been covered in blood and got the set list two shows ago that I smeared in the blood. It's by far one of my most valued possessions! The bassist also threw me has bass pick last time which I turned into a necklace. I assume they recognize me since I'm up front at every show and know the words to every song. That smell you're talking about is an acquired smell, but I absolutely love it. It really adds to the vibe. Erik didn't throw blood last time since he was on bass/vox, so I'm hoping they throw the blood this time around!
Same. It was the 2010 tour with Goatwhore. They managed to reduce an audience of hundreds down to about 10 with the stench. It was a thing of beauty 🖤🔥🔱🔥🖤

I legitimately wish I had more friends that were into black and death metal. It's such a great genre. But alas I guess it's up to me to become the metal crusader in my New England town.

Hard to say Casus vibes, they haven’t done anything like since that album came out. This is more the continuation of their sound.
Cool you mentioned the beginning. I still repeat the first 10 seconds again and again. I love how it kicks off half a second earlier than you’d expect, it gives the song this extra furiousity.
