This long-running Finnish band is new to my ear. This is an intriguing Alternative Metal tune. It's some feat to combine melodic, symphonic and metalcore elements in the same tune and actually make it work - and it really does! A memorable melody, chorus and hookline are thread linking the whole thing together. If you want something original and refeshing in your Metal, this is the tune for you. A must for your Alt. Metal playlist. My score: Very Good 4*

I started listening to lost society some years ago when they were a much thrashier band and immediately fell in love with them. I wasn't originally sure how to feel about this new album, but I recently spent a solid week in the ICU and almost died twice in a 5 day span due to a severe throat infection that caused a total loss of oxygen. the first time was for 3 minutes, and the second time was for a minute. when I woke up from blacking out the second time, this album was released and I started listening and at first was like " wat ", but than I listened to the lyrics and processed the emotions in some of the songs and I can't love the album more than I do now. I'm incredibly anxious to see more stuff like this from them and what the future holds for this band specificlly. awake is currently my favorite song because I'm awake and breathing and my heart is beating and I'm not fucking dead ❤️

even on this and prevoius record they've elements of thrash metal but it's more groove and melodic oriented than technical(i mean just Fast for being fast with more than you need riffs in song). What have i done is only song that I don't like. The rest is freaking amazing.
I really love that they are doing different stuff every album. Its just amazing if you can pick stuff from one band, depending on your mood. This Album is just nice to chill to and be in the air with your thoughts. I wouldnt say this album is highly technical and complex. Its simple and straight forward, but really well executed and that makes it just fun to listen to. For me thats the most important part to an album.
I guess i am one of the "haters still floating around". I have been following them since they won the talent show in 2012. It just blew my mind!
They are such a great thrash metal band if they want to and i would so much want them to create more of that, but this is obviously the way they have chosen. I respect that but it still makes me disappointed.
The songs I've heard so far from "if the sky came down" (before awake) are unfortunately horrible in my opinion.. "Awake" feels like it can grow on me though.
I hope the rest of the album is good because i was such a fan of Lost Society and i know they still are great musicians and talents!!
