🎋 ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Tree planting isn't just about putting saplings in the ground. What truly matters is ensuring those trees thrive and survive for decades to come, truly regenerating landscape and supporting future generations’ livelihoods. Fortunately, our partners at Symagine Solutions excel in this, boasting an impressive survival rate for their planted trees. Their secret? A holistic approach to tree planting, considering everyone: plants, wildlife, and communities alike.

It’s the Ecosia community that makes all of this possible ✨ If you want to join Ecosia, just download it, it’s the easiest (and free!) way to help the planet in a systematic way: www.ecosia.org/
In coastal areas with extreme dryness, like near the Middle East, think introducing mangroves could help change the hydrological cycles. They'd be easy enough to remove as the inland areas regreen.
I think it's likely that mangroves were in the Middle East/Northern Africa long ago. It's their removal that turned the Sahara into a sandpit..
“To live alone and freely like a tree and brotherly like a forest, that is our longing.” Nazim Hikmet. Thanks Ecosia for enlighting the green and peace on earth.
beautiful words, thank you for sharing them with us ✨ and thanks for being part of the mission 💖
Glad to see the trees aren’t just helping the planet but the communities they’re planted in
What this community is doing is extremely impressive!
One of the simplest answer is - our culture teachers us how to respect nature. so its natural for us to save trees, ...
This is beautiful!
Like Ganga river so much respect ohh dirtiest river in the entire world sorry.
@@GIGADEV690 Yes, we have been badly influenced by the west. In time
does it? Why do people just discard rubbish in the streets then? Why do they burn plastic on street corners? Why are there so many of the world’s polluted cities in India? Why does industry dump untreated industrial waste into the holy rivers? Why are timber mafias allowed to carry on with near impunity? I love India, I’ve been around 20 times, but lets be honest, nature and environment isn’t respected and there’s remarkably little awareness over such issues.
@@arjfndoh it’s the west doing it? Not your own greedy captains of industry and politicians. Take responsibility for your actions. You can’t blame the west for everything lol. If you do, then nothing will change. Take responsibility for your actions. You’re an independent nation.
Really impressed that the counter represents the surviving trees. It would have been really easy to just use the planted trees and seem more impressive but you went with the honnest approach. hats off!
Love from India ♥️🌳🌴
💚 back 🫶
Dear ecosia, and Fatima! Loved this video. I’m from India too.
I would like to give you an advice, in India, a banyan tree is considered very sacred, and is rarely chopped down due to the belief that it’s home to god. Plus as you may know, banyan trees can spread big, and live long. Would love if you could help the communities india and world wide grow banyan trees
Very good idea, it creates it own eco system once grow large
Thank you ECOSIA ❤❤❤😊😊
Malati-Di is thorough. She is fast, eloquent and detail-oriented. What an amazing woman! No wonder her trees grow so well.
Ecosia you're great ❤😊
Thank you for being part of the mission 💚
I love Ecosia 💚

Wow I'm from Bengal, great to know people are planning trees in sundarban. I hope they plant the mangroves more.
Can't wait for 1 billion trees from ecosia😊
Commenting just to help ecosia reach more
This was so nice to watch and super heartwarming!
Aww thank you for the feedback 💚
I'm from West Bengal (less than 100Km from the Sundarbans) and I've been an Ecosia user from before they had 1,000,000 trees. And I'm surprised and happy to see that Ecosia is having such an impact so close to home! ❤ 🌳 🇮🇳
Reading this comment is everything 💚 so cool that you’ve been with us for nearly the entire journey!
I love the new format. It’s fun, informative, personal, funny, and ecosia at heart
Agreed, and it makes the projects really personal as well as giving a little window on the lives of others around the world in the positive context of a thriving project and community of people.
Thank you so much for this feedback! That’s great to hear 🫶
Indian culture is a very nurturing culture. The relationship between a mother and child is the most valued relationship in Indian culture. So highly involved caregiving is the norm, in this case, it has just been directed towards trees
Ecosia's videos have always been great, but lately they've improved even more 😍 The production quality and the storytelling are top notch! 🌳🥰
I loved this video 💚 The friendships, partnerships and education are growing a sustainable future for these communities 🌱

I have had ecosia as my server for at least a year now but didn't know exactly how it is that they plant trees every time you use the server. It is nice to see how it actually works and especially how it enlightens and brings communities together. Thank you for this very personal account of what ecosia does.
Glad to hear this video helped! Cheers and thanks for watching!

Thank you Malati didi and the community from Assam❤
I finally know what Ecosia is. I knew it related to trees but when I downloaded the app years ago there was no information on how to engage with it. I certainly didn’t know it was a search engine.

Thanks for making all of this possible through your searches! 🌳💚
Yeah, tree hugging helps! Trees love proper care and hugs literally. Trees are living beings, just like "pets". They can feel when somebody cares for them.

Love to ecosia💚
What a wonderful community! Thank you Ecosia!
Keep commenting more to help ecosia reach more PPL on utube ❤
Ecosia keep planting ❤
A really heartening beautiful project and your point about the need for and benefit of working as a community is really one we need to pay attention to. May they and their trees continue to thrive.
Great Work!!
Please Ecosia! Update your browser search engine and make a big impact by planting more trees on Earth and in the Oceans. I have been using this search engine since 2021 or 2022 and I hope you guys continue to improve on fighting deforestation.
God Bless!!!
Yay!

😍 warm welcome to the Ecosia community!
Now my entire family uses ecosia
THIS 🥹 💚 The more people use Ecosia, the bigger the impact we’re having - so this is amazing to hear!!
good luck !!!, ngo's and community based projects like these brings me hope

Enjoyed the video!! Want more of these!
also i wonder when will the personal tree counter feature return??
That's awesome
Hello from the Philippines! I miss seeing my tree counter po
Hello Fatima,
Really amazing video and very inspiring!
One suggestion if I may, please would it be possible to get your partners to not use plastic bags for saplings? The Mangrove reforestation programme in South India use seedling bags made of palm leaves.
Best wishes from an Ecosia user!
Hey there, Fátima here. Thanks for watching! We did a whole video about the use of plastic in tree planting projects with some context. It's not that easy to get rid of it right away: czcams.com/video/2P-whKjrWEk/video.html
Thanks for the comment, though, we are working with our partners to find solutions to this where possible!
Just found the channel and subscribed. I'll be looking forward to more fantastic content. I'll be working and studying so that I can do some great things, and this is another wonderful channel to add to the inspiration, Thank you.
😍 welcome to the Ecosia community! Thanks for watching and good luck with your studies!
Fatima and the team are doing such a great job, the videos are amazing and provide us with so much information and also heart warming feelings. It is amazing to see the communities there being so warm and friendly to each other while making planet changing progress, Malati Di looks so kind! Also Arup's puns were hilarious lol. Keep up the awesome videos!
Thank you so much 😊 Right back at you doing amazing work!
love it
Please also plant non-commercial trees!! Insect diversity thrive on many species of flowering plants!

Haribol, the tree she was worshiping is Krsna Tulsi. The embodiment of the Mother/feminine aspects of the the Universe. Hare Krishna.
I spent over a month in India several years ago, so I loved this video and getting to see the Indian countryside and the wonderful people again. It does not surprise me that they have an 85% survival rate. They are such wonderful hardworking people. And please do not take this as a negative comment, but constructive criticism, that I would tell any friend. Please do not wear those black pants again. They were way too tight and they unflatteringly outlined your most private parts. I think if you look back at the video at around 10:33 you will see exactly what I am referring to. Properly fitting trousers would actually accentuate your nice figure and make you appear even thinner than you are. Again, I hope you are not offended, that was not my intent. My intent was to be helpful, and to tell you what others were apparently unwilling to, for your benefit.
Guys comment more and more pls.
Please start tree planting in Bangladesh.
