- It’s shocking to think that there are actually celebrities who died in front of their fans. Like, they’re on stage, walking around, and the next minute, they’re just… gone. It might have been a heart attack, a shooting, or a fall. In some cases, audiences didn’t even realize the person had really died.

In others, onlookers could only watch in horror as the scene unfolded in front of their eyes. And when it comes to celebrities who died in front of their fans, there are bizarre deaths, tragic deaths, weirdly comedic deaths, strangely appropriate deaths, murders, expected and unexpected deaths, accidental deaths, and everything in between.
Take the death of Steve Irwin, for instance. The Australian wildlife expert, famous worldwide for his “crikey” catchphrase and never-fear attitude, was filming footage for a new television series at the Great Barrier Reef. He’d cornered a usually docile stingray when it reared up and started stabbing him with its barbed tail. The barb pierced Irwin’s heart, and he died not long afterward. Another bizarre tale is the death of 60-year-old actress Edith Webster. She was performing her grandmother role in a play called The Drunkard, the exact role she’d played for almost ten years. When she hit the death scene, she sang her final song and slumped over. It took the audience more than a minute to realize she had died for real.
There are also tragic tales of celebrities who died in front of their fans. Take the death of Brandon Lee, son of famous and also ill-fated Hong Kong actor Bruce Lee. He was filming the death scene on the set of the cult classic film The Crow when he was actually shot in the stomach. Though he was rushed to hospital, he later died. Some, like Pantera and Damageplan guitarist Dimebag Darrell, were murdered by jealous fans. Others fell to their deaths, like pro-wrestler Owen Hart, better known as Blue Blazer.
Then there were those who died on stage doing what they loved, like British comedy legend Eric Morecambe or Scottish guitarist Les Harvey. If you’re interested to learn the tales, both macabre and fascinating, of celebrities who died in front of their fans, be sure to watch to the end of the video. RIP Dimebag. The guy was the greatest rock guitarist of the last 30 years. His accomplishments in the music industry are unmatched. Plus he was an incredibly nice man.
Being assassinated in public was just horrific. People need to wake up to the reality of MK ULTRA
I remember John Ritter in Problem Child lol classic ❤️
Thanks for watching, Ceddy!
He was a good actor.
@@FactsVerse Thank you for sharing. How can i have forgotten Problem Child. 😢 “ummmm… Tangy!” 🤣🤣🤣❤️ at the kids lemonade stand
@@missjody4142 indeed he was 🤗
My wife called me, the moment she heard of Jon Ritter's death, I was on my way to work. I had to pull over. Needless to say I was a big fan. So sad!
Me too i was working when it came over the news here in New Zealand that he passed away. One of the guys were saying “Hes the tubby guy on IT” i was like “Nah hes the guy on Problem Child” Another friend was like “No hes the father on 8 simple rules” Our boss said “Its the same fucking guy you idiots!” 😂😂😂
Strictly speaking, some of these celebrities did not die in front of their fans, like Steve Irwin & John Ritter
I agree. I would have thought this was to acknowledge celebrities who died in some form of public performance. Why not Christina Grimmie? Why not Tommy Cooper (video exists of this)? Or Dick Shawn? or Tiny Tim?
May they all rest in peace 🙏, great video thanks 🖤
I still get teary eyed almost every week over Dime bag I've seen Pantera 7 times and damage plan twice
Redd Foxx was known for his comedy albums and stand up comedy as well.
Thanks for sharing this, Nikki!
Don’t know who he is

Losing Dimebag that way was for sure the most shocking and the worst. Thanks for the video.

RIP Dime.
What's your favorite memory of Dime, nwo?
@@FactsVerse 5th row center at Ozzfest watching Dime with Pantera destroy on his blue electric bolt Washburn, drink, destroy some more, drink, repeat.
Dimebag Darrell's death really, no pun intended, blew me away and to this day it's really hard to believe that he's gone.
What's your favorite memory of him, Ray?
@@FactsVerse Seeing him play live numerous times with Pantera and then to see him play "Walk" with Disturbed back in 2003 was the last time I saw him. Then I hear the opening riff to "Save Me" by Damageplan one day while sitting in my car and was hooked right away and played hookie from work the rest of the afternoon to buy the CD.
He handed me a guitar pick during his last full show at Starland Ballroom, I was about 14 at the time and in front row.
@@chrisporter1640 I was there too.
The day someone forgets someone is the day they really die - Love and Peace to all that are no longer with us, but not forgotten. I'll never forget Darrell Abbott and the Abbott Brothers! CHEERS!
...... you forgot TOMMY COOPER!!!
I have heard Steve Irwin pulled the barb out in reaction and bled out, he might have survived had he not done it.
Thanks for sharing this, Frank!
He would have died anyway prison straight to his heart its pretty much over. It was Steve's time. I regret it he was my favorite
The man died doing what he loved and that was his love for animals…

OH NO!! I sleep in front of my fan every night, especially in the summer.😩😫😩😫😩😫
HAHAHAHAHAHA

LMFAO!!!
Kathi Murray I live in Florida, I have to face a fan in every room........I’m gonna die!
How did Dale Earnhardt NOT make this list?? By far his death was witnessed by Millions.. Those who hate Dale, and those who loved him.. Amazing he was not included
Thanks for sharing this, Harold!
@@FactsVerse hi
I agree, I was a huge Dale Sr. Fan! That was a horrible year! 9/11 happened, and I lost 3 of my heroes, My grandfather died, Dale Earnhardt Sr. died, and Smokey Eunice died. That along with being in D.C. at the time of the attack, and taking 9.5 hours to get home when it was usually a 45 minute drive. It was just a horrible year.
Now when they said “died in front of fans” they meant in front of film and television crews
@@TheKanucasaku Just the people in the Grandstands at Daytona that day. JUST the ones who where at the track greatly out number MOST of the "Celebrities''' listed in this video, so whats your point ??
May their souls continue to rest in peace ✌️ 😥
Who will you miss the most, Reginah?
Owen Hart's death was so sad
John Ritter was a Real shocker for me,I grew up as a lil kid watching Three company every week back in the 70's!! 🥺
Almost none of these were " in front of fans".
Learned about Dimebag's death listening to Howard Stern. That shocked me to the core!! I met Dime in 1995 after a Pantera show in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. He was the absolute nicest musician I'd ever met!! As far as the reason that guy shot him is because he thought Dimebag was the reason Pantera broke up (it was the singer Phil Anselmo' s fault, more or less). Plus he was severely mentally unstable. How he got in the club with a gun is beyond me. No one checking people at the door?? And ironically Dime was shot and killed on the anniversary of John Lennon being shot and killed....I still tear up when I hear Pantera, especially the song "Cemetary Gates"....RIP Dime! You will forever be missed!!!
RIP Dimebag 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
Most shocking? Dimebag. Rip 🤘
What's your favorite memory of him, Jeremy?
@@FactsVerse I saw them live in 1992 on the cowboys from hell tour. I was 15, and metallica was my favorite band, didn't know much about Pantera. Was completely blown away by their energy, and dimebag had the best tone I've ever heard live. Later found out he had worked for years to get that tone. Instantly became a Pantera super fan. Still to this day 🤘

Another British comedian/ actor who died on stage was Sid James who died on stage in Sunderland, England in 1976. I think he had a heart attack just like Eric Morecambe. Sid James was born in South Africa but acted mainly in British sit coms and movies. The "Carry" On comedy movies in the '60's were his most famous roles but not sure if they made it to US cinema's so you are perhaps not aware of them. There was also another famous British comedian called Tommy Cooper who died in 1984 in similar circumstances but on television.
When released in the US, Carry On Nurse ran in Los Angeles for more than two-and-a-half years.
@@TheYoungDoctor Thanks for that. I have learn't something there. Never imagined that sort of British humour would be popular across the pond. If you have not seen it "Carry on Screaming "is my favourite. Admit I like US sitcoms such as Two and a half men, King of Queens, Seinfeld and Big Bang Theory these days, British comedy unfortunately has gone right down the toilet ! Golden era was '60s and '70s no question.
In some ways, Redd Foxx's death shocked me.
What's your favorite memory of him, tj?
@@FactsVerse When he faked his heart attack on Sanford & Son
In the crow Lee actually was shot and you actually can see the shot that killed him it's in the part where the character named fun boy shoots first through his hand and then into his abdomen you actually see blood coming out Brandon's back

Who will you miss the most, Roxi?
@@FactsVerse probably Steve Irwin. So young and full of life. Such a shame.
Sadly some of these Deaths was the actions of either Stupidity or Pushing the Fates to her limits. I mean, playing with your Gun and placing to your head? That's just stupid, having a Encore 6 times over, that pushing the Fates. The only one I feel sorry for is the Heavy Metal fella that was shot down with several hours by a nut job. Mortal of this story is Know your limits, never and I do mean EVER take a risk with your life and value your life because sooner or later the Reaper will come for you.
Movie: Gone Fishin -someone died making that movie in Goodland, Fl

Steve Irwin I enjoyed dismay and show. He was great dad and husband.
