  • Hey guys,
as you know I mostly talk about my study abroad experience in the United States of America and my time as an exchange student in Texas. However, I have been asked to also give tips for exchange students coming to Germany. Many of these tips do not only apply to exchange students coming to Germany but can also be useful to people looking to move to and find a job in Germany. Since the video got very long I have decided to split it into two parts. In this video I will talk about the German mindset as well as tell you everything you need to know when it comes to German law and order. In part two I will also be discussing the German school system and give you more tips on how to successfully integrate into German culture.
If you have any further questions about this or other exchange student content, please leave them down in the comments below.
    As always lots of love,
    Laura

Before covid hit, I used to make 5 or 6 trips a year across the pond to Germany. I have loved every visit! I have always found the people to be very friendly towards me. I usually always stay at the same hotels and go to the same restaurants. My favorite restaurant is the "Block House" its a German Steakhouse chain. Love it! I Made 3 trips last fall. I hope to come back in March, my friend there has a small airplane based at Mainz Flugplatz, I enjoy flying south over Bavaria.

That sounds amazing! I'm a big fan of block house too. I actually need to go there again as I haven't been in a while. Southern Bavaria is absolutely stunning

Laura...Nice video. Say Laura,...do you think you could do a short video about where you live in Germany?? Video tape images of your local town and interesting features of it?? Hope 2022 is going well for you. Hope it's not too cold either. Here in Michigan, USA Its about 19 F outside right now! Tschuess!

It's a cool idea, however, I am trying to keep as much privacy as possible concerning personal contact details and my location off the internet. You know... just for safety reasons

@@honey27003 I totally understand. It's just that "Feli from Germany" who is from Munich, has gone back to Munich and filmed quite a bit about Munich and what you can visit and see there and showed that on her Channel. Her video was very nice. Maybe someday you can do something similar without compromising your privacy or security. Or maybe just do a couple videos of sights in Germany that are not linked to your Home or Hometown! Maybe even make up a fake last name for yourself..like you are now Laura Petrocelli! Petrocelli is Italian so people might start looking for you in ROME!! (LOL!) Aufwieder-commenten!! :)

Solution to all this problems: come to Italy for your exchange, nobody come here to study we will be happy to host you.
So funny how everything that you say is quite the opposite in Italy, for better or worse, except for alcohol, cheers

hahaha yea that's a solution I guess. I wonder why there aren't more people going to Italy. It's absolutely gorgeous and I think it would be great for exchange students

@@honey27003 i think that the language is the point, Italian is useless in work contest and is also pretty though to learn. And also our school are not really structured to host exchange students, as usual Italy doesn't exploit its own potentialities

@@francescoonorato465 That's sad. I think so many exchange students could have a great time there. And Italian is a beautiful language to learn
