- Hi guys,
today I am back with another exchange student and host family Q&A to answer all of your questions about my exchange year experience. Again, as I have received so many cool questions from all of my lovely subscribers, I thought it would only be right to take the time to answer them in a video. If you are considering becoming an exchange student or hosting a student as a host family and you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me down in the comments below. As I have both been an exchange student and a part of a host family, I know both sides of an exchange year and am always happy to help.
Today's video is all about cheerleading, the English requirements you need to meet to become an exchange student, prom and school dances as well as many other interesting topics.

Two years old, but ... no house key? That sounds very strange to me. I don't understand why they wouldn't give you a key - you're part of the family while you're in the house, so that makes no sense to me. There may be some reason for it, but it's not typically what Americans would do.

@@honey27003 Maybe in 2025 or 2026. That's the time that I'm in 11th and 12th grade. I've made some research and it looks like a good age to experience an exchange year.
@@surialmeida1656 If your school will let you go at that age that's perfect. For me the only option was to leave after grade 9 if I did not want to repeat a year so that's what I did
@@honey27003 I'll try to find the best time to go, bc I also don't want to repeat the year. But how long does it take to organize everything? An how can I know if my county offers scholarships or not?
@@surialmeida1656 I would say you should start organizing your year abroad at least 12 months in advance but maybe even 15v months in advance. For the scholarship I would rely on google. Maybe type in the name of your government's parliament and then student scholarship. If they have one, I am sure it will come up. You can also look for exchange student forums.
Thanks 4 the answer to the German cars question. But it's still puzzling to me how Mecedes has become the most reputable , recognizable, respected car brand around the world so much so that over 90% of presidential motorcades around the world use Mercedes Benz to showcase the power of the presidency.
Even Kim Jong Un who cannot legally import Mercedes due to sanctions goes to great length to smuggle them in for his .
Then you look back @ Europe, it's anybody's commuter car or taxi.
How did that happen?
I think there are two explanations for that. 1) They are cheaper for us as we don't have to import them 2) There are many different types. Many here drive Mercedes vehicles but the models you see the presidents drive may often be S-classes or Maybachs. Very very few regular people drive those over here. We tend to go for cheaper models.
Do you by any chance know what the required grades are for doing an exchange year? Because I really want to do an exchange year so bad but I'm so unmotivated in Belgium. My grades definitely aren't the worst but I also don't get straight A's at all. I've seen that in some organizations you can't fail a test for 3 years before leaving. And for me that's already a lost cause. Can you help me. Btw loved the video. :))
honestly am a semi finalist myself, and it mostly depends on the organization/programme youre on. you definately dont need straght As but none of them should be less than a C. for eg i was required to have gotten not less than 60% in any of the exams from the past 3 years. and they definately wont check everysingle test result, but just the main final and mid year examinations.
