Just keep showing those beautiful ocean videos, happy new year, all the best.
I lived on a buddy's boat while I was going through a remodel on my house and it was the best sleep I have ever gotten. Waking up in the morning to soft gentle waves brushing against the hull as the tide returns was pretty cool.
Having sailed in both Croatia and French Polynesia (Tahiti) I cannot adequately describe how amazing both are for a sailing vessel. The number of islands and safe anchorages is unlimited and the beauty and culture in both places are other worldly. Thanks so much for your CZcams channel.
Oh wow!!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with everyone!! I’ve given your post a thumbs up! Let’s get this country competition started! ⛵️🏝️🏝️🏝️
@@KristinasTravels I second Croatia. Sailed there two times and it's amazing
Another lovely video Kristina! Good luck exploring all the places on your bucket list and thanks for bringing us along for the ride!
Thanks for answering the questions with such detail! Another awesome video 🙌🏻
Cheers Peter!! Appreciate the love mate ☺️ Happy New Year to you and your family 🥳🎉
Just watched True Spirit. Something was in my eyes that entire movie. Inspirational. You two as well.
Thank you for entertaining us on CZcams since you stared on this journey. Wishing you all the best for 2024. Enjoy a well earned break and looking forward to your next video in a few weeks. Stay safe, Tom
Hi Tom, thank you so so much! I currently have my feet up and am watching a movie in bed!!!!! Can you believe it?! I can’t 😅🤣 I’m loving EVERY SECOND! 🥰 Holidays have officially started ❤️ Can’t wait to be rejuvenated and back on board in a few weeks x Happy New Year!!!!
Can’t wait to see more of Bonifacio!!
Happy new year ❤ from 🇨🇦
This year I go sailing in the Netherlands Workum - Enkhuisen - Monnickendam end of march ; Mediterranean Sardinia - Menorca - Barcelona in may ; Azores Terceira - Flores - Corvo and back in august and maybe Greece in late september !
Yes, I close my hatches with my feet…hah. Enjoyed your video and beautiful Jeanneau 55. I own, liveaboard and single-hand my 2007 Jeanneau 42iP up and down the East coast of the US from Maine to Florida, and northern Caribbean….USVI, British VI.
My boat, Natty Bloh, has never let me down in over 18 years of ownership, offshore and coastal. I added a code zero to my sail inventory a few years back and carbon fiber laminate 105 jib and full battened main and love the performance improvement. Bottom line, my experience with this Jeanneau and a previous 2001 Sun Odyssey 37 has been pleasurable and trouble free. These are great value yachts to be sure. Since you asked, my favorite places to sail have been my home waters of the Chesapeake Bay (over 6000 nm of navigable shoreline/great gunkholing, and plenty of racing and ashore excitement) and the coast of New England up through Maine in the summer. I admire your adventurous spirit and look forward to your future videos. Fair winds!
Beautiful yatch.congratulations!😊
Kristina,
You are clearly finding-your-stride Dear. Your vlogs are improving as your level of authenticity increases. The real you is the best you. It makes everything else around you better. Keep it real always in all ways. Thanks for sharing.
God Bless with hugs and love all, John, Kristina, & Kelly🙏🏻🕊💜...
Hay guys, first of all, merry Christmas 🎄 & all the best for the new year.that 55foot boat that your on looks amazing. I look forward to what's next in 24. As for sailing destination's, id have to say the Bay of islands. That's where I've done the most sailing. (Which isn't a lot). I have crewed on a yacht from Brisbane Australia to New Zealand, which was awesome. So yeah, come give the Bay of islands a go. We would love to have you here. Keep up the good work. SV Kiwi Lady Opua Bay of islands New Zealand 👍🏿
Jeanneau Sun Odyssey - great looking yacht both exterior and interior
So lovely to meet you both yesterday. ❤❤
It was so lovely meeting you and Gordan too! ❤️ See you around the ship x
Just found your channel, love it! You both are amazing, as I wait for my boat I like to use you all as my tour guide lol can’t wait to see you again soon⚓️🌴💜😃
Rajeka Croatia is AMAZING! Check out the castle when you're there, it has a restaurant at top with a beautiful view. I also always go to the submarine and boonkers restaurants! Both my favorite.
I'm hitting up saipan in 2024 and I'm stoked!
Wowwww!!!!! Yes yes yes!!! Thanks for these Croatia tips - we’ve add them to our bucket list. Croatia is definitely getting some love from everyone!!! ❤️
Soooooo much fun, Kristina. 🎉🎉🎉 Your excitement is contagious ‼️ HAPPY NEW YEAR 💥 See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨
Very pro video editing.... love it!
I have just over 200,000 miles of cruising and deliveries since the 1980's. I love the south pacific above all destinations. The Tuamotu, the Marrquesas, Vava'u, Fiji's Lau group - these places are special above all others. My other favourite place, and I like it so much better than the Barrier Reef - is Tasmania. Southern Tasmania, especially Bathhurst Harbour is just stunning.
Happy new year!
Happy New Year Kevin!!! 🎉🥳
I love France and the people, especially out of the major city's. Burgundy was a great memory for me
Oh beautiful!!! Yes, it’s such a INCREDIBLE country. Expensive but WOW-nice! Can’t wait to share the next chapter in the New Year! 🎉 Thanks for all your support during 23’ Tony!
Have sailed the med, Greece, Sardinia, Italy ( Elba and pontine islands) and France (Corsica). On bucket list: Mallorca, Ibiza, Malta, Sicily, turkey and US: Great Lakes) Sardinia is our favorite, but to be honest love sailing in the med overall. Yes we open the lockers with our feet as well 😊.
Happy Ney Year, love your videos 😀
Great video, can't believe a million dollar new boat doesn't have a watermaker or enough pv to run the aircond without a generator. Meanwhile super luxury. Beautiful.
Really cute video. Love your story of hard work to accomplish something together. You two are living the life.
Thanks for an awesome year of sailing and travel. Having never left Australia or sailed I feel desperately under qualified to comment. However with a limited maritime background (Shipping agent and Ship supplier) the Kimberley is spectacular and I have heard that Croatia is an absolute gem that puts most of the Mediterranean to shame. Have you thought of doing in and around South East Asia.
Happy New Year to you both, enjoy your downtime
great video as always, Happy 🎉New Year’s to you all take care.👍👍👍👍👍🇦🇺
Hi guys Happy New Year. Loved all the videos this year. Hope you guys have a nice vacation. Peace
You need to but Kate on the videos more. She has a great sense of humor. I'm looking forward to your tour of the city.
My wife and I love Bonifacio. Did a 10 day cruise and that was one of our stops.
Ohhh! How blessed are you to visit this place - what a magical location to share with you wife! 😍
Living the REAL dream..! ❤
what a cozy boat!
It’s so nice isnt it! So cozy and comfy! ☺️
Happy New year guys! have a good one@@KristinasTravels
Happy New Year.
Happy New Year Annette!! 🥰🥳✨ See you in 2024 xx
Happy New Year to you too .
🎉🥳✨🥰 x
We have sailed in Australia, New Zealand, croatia, Turkey, Malta, Greece Fiji and Somoa and Croatia is vey hard to beat Greece, Turkey and Malta also very good looking forward to Albania and Montenegro next.
With the master being placed farther aft than most traditional monohulls, do you find that the master is comfortable offshore? On all of the boats that I have owned from 37 to 52 feet, the master forward is impossible to use if close hauled offshore
Happy New Year!! For me, I would love to go to Newfoundland, Iceland, Greenland, Faro Islands, and then Norway. Loooking forward to your adventures in 2024!
Oh wow! That would be SENSATIONAL to visit by sailboat. 😲😲😲 Can you imagine?! The Northern Lights under the stars! ⛵️
West Coast of Australia, especially the Rowley Shoals but also Ningaloo Reef and the Abrolhos Islands.
Totally!!!!!! ON OUR BUCKET LISTTTTT!!!!! 😍😍😍
That’s a beautiful sailboat you guys have!
Favorite France. Dijon!
I'm interested about your feeling of this boat over a catamaran. You were previously on the large cat, how do you think it compares to the large mono? Easier to get a birth in a marina? Liveaboard similarities ? Thanks for the great videos
Where do I have to begin, I sailed to so many amazing locations 🤩
But if we stay only in the West Med. then Monaco, Nice or St. Tropes are my favorites.
A bit more south would be Palma and..... ohh, and yes Italy and Greece of course.
But North West of Italy will be my ultimate favorite choice to sail.
And favorite place in the world.... that would be French Polynesia.
Thanks!
Wow - STEVE! Thank you SO much!!!!! So grateful for your generosity!
Happy New Year, and thank you for directly contributing to support our channel ✨❤️☺️ Grateful for YOU! ✨ The most beautiful gift!
definitely sail the Antilles in the Caribbean!
Your favourit place to sail (Greece) will change when you guys island hop in Croatia!
:)
I loved Turkey and Croatia.
Did you!! Two places we haven't been to just yet! On our bucket list :)
@@KristinasTravels dubrovnik is a cool castle looking town! Definitely worth a visit.
My favorite locations in the Med would be Italy: Amalfi coast then Kotor Montenegro & last Greece.
Best place to sail is Tahiti!!!
Hello, Always love your Video ❤️ Like to Sail, in Australia and whole Europe ❤ Wishing you Happy Journey ❤❤
HELLO FROM MALDIVESS💗🇲🇻🇲🇻
Very lovely, my favourite destination for 2024 is Beccles.
You guys should head down to the Canary Islands and get to warmer climate. Let me know if you land in Gran Canaria. ❤
Thailand has some gorgeous sailing Bobby White said it is some of his favorite
I could only imagine - the people, the food, the beaches.. and coconuts for days! Sounds like heaven on earth!
Turkey around "The Lycian Way" specifically Kekover. Just the best place ever to go with walks, hikes, history, blue water and hundreds of free anchorages! Ask our mutual friends on Sailing Sunday 😉 Or check out our videos of the area. Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid. xx
miss you 🥰
Come to Turkey
Great spot here as well lots of oligarchs boat you will see its like boat show
You need to visit Turkey in 2024 summer! It has the best coasts in the world🎉 We have also 45 ft sail and waiting to see you around Turkey this summer🎉🎉🎉❤
So do we.🎉🎉🎉
Fantastisch video
Where were you for the Bean commercial??
Looking forward to our son and girlfriend coming to OZ (GC) for an escape from Bali. Happy New Year when it comes wherever you are.
Hi guys, just wondering which anchor alarm app you use? Seems very reliable. Is it linked to your radar and plotter? Cheers
Hey Rob! It just called “anchor alarm” on the App Store. The one we use, the app icon has a red background with a white anchor. I think it’s a one off payment of $5 or something!
Thanks a heap! Super helpful! Fair winds and following seas ❤
Omg hands down the best place to visit is Montenegro Kotor bay
Ohhh wow!!!! I just looked it up - stunning. What was it like?! The mountains look beautiful 🤩
I’m on my third time watching your Greece sailing trip - I just love it, it would be like a dream come true for us to buy a catamaran in the Med (she might be old and not like the big fancy ones, but that’s ok). We are what you’d call old farts but I believe you’re never too old to follow a dream 😉
You should definitely sail to Ireland in July/August
Ohhh really? What’s Ireland like to sail around?! 😲 Tell us more!
@@KristinasTravels I've never sailed around it, but we generally get the edge of the european heatwave in July/August. Otherwise mainly storms XD. The interior of the country (small by most countries' standards) is beautiful, too! I can be your tourguide XD
Happy New Year! You have to sail French Polynesia
where you guys been its been 3 weeks - missing you
Working on our latest episode! Won’t be long 🙌💕 xxx
Wow! You are together since 17!
You should have a secret of such long relationship!
I would have it was a case of bobing up and down and riding the waves as best you can. Or just bobing up and down and trying to sleep
I hardly keep count of the many sailing boats of your channel, is there a trick to change regularly and upgrade boats? Or is it just about savings, earnings, monetization etc?
Did u guys watch the Rolex Sydney Hobart race?
YES!!!!! I’m not sure if you watched our Australian series, but our rigger Dean just won on yacht ‘Alive’ -- YEWWWWWW!!!!!!! 🥳🤩
Cefalonia island, Ionion Sea, Greece
Norway
Ohhhh man!!! EPIC location!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️ *liked your post*
5:09 Make sure you give dream a go?😅
Turkeys 🇹🇷 place cold Kinidos lovely place
Of course Turkey and Greek Islands.
🙌🙌🙌 can’t wait to see Turkey - we’ve heard amazing things!!
Do not miss May and June before being packed in July/August.
Beforehand you should plan bc there are thousends of bays. Ask for advise. Anytime you want.
🎉🎉🎉
I have sailed in Turkey and recently Croatia. They are both stunning to sail round but i prefer Turkey. In Turkey we sailed Originally from Orhaniye to Marmaris and then as far down as Antalya over the six years we had our boat moored out there. If you sail around Croatia, make sure you take some mosquito repellant because they come out in force. My son got bitten about 100 times in one night.
My dream location is Vienna in Austria.😉 Please, tell me in advance when you are here! 😂
Ohhhh sounds WONDERFUL!!!!! Not many sailboats there but WHAT A PERFECT SPOT REGARDLESS!!!! Haven’t been there - I want to know more… 😍😍😍😍
@@KristinasTravels I have to admit, we are missing sailboats and the sea in Vienna. But skiing in the alps isn't a bad choice either.😁 You also have to try the delicious food in Vienna (Austria). In the former Austrian-Hungarian monarchy, always the best dishes from all the crown lands (much of Central Europe, Eastern Europe and the Balkans) was served in Vienna. This tradition can still be seen today in the excellent cuisine. 😉
Jonnanaï😂😂😂
rich kid adventures. I wish i had such chance at least once in my lifetime.
So you rent the boat?
Hey Princess!!! Life is good in Great weather! I want to see you both in a storm and all hell Breaks loose. I have raced on 42' to 70' racing yatchs with 40+ winds during the night. Can you and Ken handle that? Guessing Not you both are Green Horns!
Hopefully we’ll be as experienced as you one day 🙌 good for you.🙂 We’ve been through a few storms, and we’ve learnt a bit, I’ll add some episodes here for you to check out if you care to watch, but gathering by your comment, that’s unlikely, but all the same - enjoy and have a great week ahead 🙏

Great advice! Save your money while your young so you can do your dreams.. 😂
☺️☺️☺️☺️ thank you Tony!!!
croatia - for sure
Croatia is getting some serious love!!! 🇭🇷🙌💕
🤠👍
Thailand Koh Kood eiland.
Ohhhhhh - of course!!! Thailand 🇹🇭 😍
this boat cost at least 1.6million€
Thanks guys! I have to admit after you sold your boat, i’ve not lost interest, but I’m not a huge fan of charter vessels as a base for a sailing channel, why? Well i know you’re not really going on a adventure as in crossing oceans ect..
but the channel is still okay.. so please don’t be offended.. it’s kinda a different channel now, not two kids learning while travelling, more boat reviews.. which people do love..
Ps i still watch em.. so don’t think I abandoned the channel. 🤗 guys
Hey Trev, JT here, this comment is great, love reading this type of feedback, thanks mate!
It’s been a juggling act for us between continuing to do what we love which is sailing and travelling but keeping some cash coming in, meaning I have to return to Oz to work every other month which makes owning our boat tough as we’d only have 6 months of a season to sail, half of which I’d be back in Australia working… it’s still our dream to circumnavigate in our own boat, we’re working on it, but also want to make sure we have something to come back to when we’re done so we’re not broke (albeit with a swag of amazing memories) and priced out of the housing market… 🤪 (actually scrap that, we probably already are 😂) as always thanks for watching mate!
Sorry, "we saved through our 20s, and didn't buy $7 juices" does not answer the question. What were your incomes/expenses/savings? How much did the boat cost? How much was left over? What else did you do for income?
Hey Robert! If you look up the average wage for a pilot and journalist in Australia you’d be able to get an idea of our salaries. Tucana cost around $300k ish AUD including all the work we did on her. If you’ve been able to watch some of our other episodes, I also do voiceover work for a side income 🙂 Thank for being part of the crew mate! 🙏✨
Length and beam? More room than boats I've seen
Kristina and John Happy Holidays. Bonifacio is a beautiful place. I have never been but know people that have and other You tube channels.
You were saying you'd love to check out Turkey and Italy. Italy first I will say, and this is from 95% of the You Tube channels I have seen on Italy is not a Sailors paradise as the Italians for some reason do not take kindly to non-Italian sailors. So, I advise you check it out with your tubers you know.
Turkey is not a pleasant place right now due to the War going on between Israel and Hamas. Turkey as a Muslim nation and neglecting their NATO duties has sided with Iran, Serria, Hamas, Yemen. And as Australia is part of the NATO force to help combat these terrorist acts Yemen is doing protecting Israel Turkey is not a safe harbor at this time. I'm sure your government would advise you not to go there for your personal safety.
Not trying to be a downer. Just stating the way, it is at this uncertain time.
Enjoy your holidays and hopefully by the time you are ready to travel to other destinations in and around the Mediterranean issues would have calmed down and or been resolved.
Stay safe catch you later
Can you number your episodes?
Of course, I can help with this 🙂 I’ve also made a playlist from each of the series’! So, if you’d like to watch them in order, this may be the easiest option? 🙂
Two eyes closed of course
We will throw gold & silver in the streets!
Attention un Corse n'est pas Français ne leurs dite surtout pas ça ,c'est un peu comme un Québécois francophone il n'es pas Canadien. 🤣🤣Sinon bienvenu en France même en corse .
Saving money on non-essentials is cool, and all, but no amount of skipped Starbucks is going to buy you a million dollar boat in your 30s.
The "weird trick" is to make an absurd amount of money in your 20s and don't have kids right away.
We worked in our professional jobs all though 20’s, and our first boat wasn’t $1m 🙂 it was a 1/4 that! We’re just borrowing this one while we’re still saving ❤️ but I think you’re right on the kids business, that would be a huge expense in your 20’s!
