  • On this episode we honor the late Ruben Cadena owner/builder of the iconic “Wicked 64”
Unfortunately Ruben lost his life a couple of weeks ago unexpectedly.
His Impala was very influential in the Lowrider scene back in the 90s, especially to us growing up in Salinas.
We just so happen to have some footage of us talking to Ruben about his car back in 2019 that we never used. We also filmed some of the cars at his funeral last week. It was great to see so many people show up to show their respect and support for Ruben and his family. He will definitely be missed but his legacy will live on.
Our condolences to his family, friends and club brothers.
    Thanks for watching!

Appreciate all the love y’all have shared. My pops had the utmost respect for y’all and your passion towards all car communities. Even now it’s tough to watch videos with him and his voice. He was truly one of a kind🙏🏼🙏🏼

I remember when I was a kid my neighbor was in Street Life. I’d see Ruben and this car stop by often. In 93’ I took a few pictures of his ride and I moved away from Salinas. A few months ago I found them, and wondered for a bit if he and his car were still around. I loved that paint job and still do. Enjoyed hearing the story about the paint.

Hello nice cars and cool video, what is not cool is the guy on minute 5 and up he probably thought it was cool with lots of bad words but it messed all up, sorry that's what I think, saludos from El Chuco Texas.

That is Mr. Ruben Cadena, owner or "Wicked 64", member of Street Life CC, recently deceased and subject of this tribute video. Although he didn't seem to be the type of fella you, personally, would appreciate at first impression, I can assure you he was a good man and firme pillar of the Lowrider cultura in general and of Salinas, CA as a community member in particular.
      Saludos from The Saladbowl! 🖖
