- After nearly half a year my "daily driver" is completed, I needed a bigger engine... I've still got a few minor details to iron out, but I'm more or less satisfied with the results. Every day after work I'd come home and put some time in. This bike was in the back of a wood working shop for nearly 9 years and had been sitting in a garage in Florida for 2 years prior. It's back on the roads now. It was a booger to get all the corroded bolts out and refinish a lot of stuff that succumbed to rust. The only plans I have for it are a nice fairing, saddlebag filler panels and a more custom intake setup.
Stay tuned for my next build, it's going to be the wildest thing I've ever made, also it'll be one of the fastest things I've owned, not to mention the next one is kind of my dream bike...So it's going to get the no expenses\time spared treatment. Enjoy....

Wow how do I get him to build one for me? Awesome build !
Any chance you have a picture of just the brackets on the bike for the bags? I just picked up some bags yesterday and I want to put them on my 1100.
Hello. I have same bike and it sat for awhile also. I've got it running and working on few issues. Main one im trying to solve is Speedo odometer aren't working. Been tracking wires and connections. Also checked speed sensor. Im not having any luck ? Got any ideas all my other lights and indicaters working
Where did you get the vice? Does it flip sideways? Hard to tell in video
Are you still riding it? I have 2 yamaha vstar 1100's plus an additional engine. I only have a title for 1 and it has a bad engine. An is to make one good bike out of all the parts.
To be honest I much rather preferred Honda's offering after I rode so many of these. I enjoyed the Yamaha's but I somehow just kept going back to Honda for everything. It was a good bike and to the best of my knowledge that one is still rolling around and so is the 650.
Nice job! What kind of bags? Did they bolt right up?
They were Harley Bags, no I had to weld and cut brackets for them to work off a softtail.
How do you like that lift? Is it a HF?
Where did you get that filter from?
Aye my man I’m trying to put my stator cover back on and it’s a bitch. Any tips???
How much do you charge to rebuild my bike? I have the same bike like yours.
2200
Was the carb a pain in the butt?
