Although Mr. Frawley had lived at the Knickerbocker Hotel for many years, he had not long before moved over to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel where he lived with his sister. He and his male nurse/companion had just come out of a movie theater where they viewed the Natalie Wood film, "Inside Daisy Clover," when he suffered a heart attack. A grand man of television comedy to be sure - I always felt William Frawley was the funniest and most likable character on the "I Love Lucy" series. Both Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz publicly referred to Mr. Frawley as their "best friend." I am sure that is true.

My Mom, told me she was present when Francis Farmer had her famous meltdown. She was young, on a date, and quite shocked.
Don’t know about any shower curtain appearance in front of a Judge.

He was old enough to be Vivian Vance's dad and she didn't like that. It was the main reason they never got along. Side note...he had it written into all contracts that if the NY Yankees were to play in the World Series, he would have that time off to go watch.
